    Web development is fun and you can make good money but you should remember that there are a lot of developers in India willing to work for a fraction of the salary that you are pursuing. In fact, many large tech companies have laid off their developers in the USA and opened offices in India. You might want to look into other areas that require developers but are not so easily offshored.

      Actually, not true. This was tried many years ago and failed; the language barrier and time zone barrier were too much hassle and caused many companies a lot of money. In fact, it was so much money that they went back to doing their native country only (speaking mainly for AU & US).

    I do like the tip on templates. I am ok at making stunning stuff but it takes me 4 months. Rather concentrate on getting stuff done. I prefer the backend and connecting it with a design I have already so I can edit the html so it can accept backend variables etc. I really don’t know how front end dudes can make crazy stuff like they do. That really is a talent like crazy

      That is my specialty, but you have to know the full stack whatever the tech. Database and APIs are critical learning.

    Self taught dev searching for a junior position here. I am finding it extremely difficult to get hired. Ive been studying web development mainly front end for over 3 years. Ive made multiple portfolios, my most recent one built on react js. Ive made a variety of projects and I cant even land any interviews.

    You tell thiings best. I mean you seriously tell it without any BS that other youtuber developers do, all that oily toungue and fast track promises. You tell the main thing that will get one through, the same thing that most of the youtubers try to cover in their foo faar baaz (ofcourse they cant hide it) for their views.     Hey thank you for the advice. I’ve recently gotten into web development and have really been enjoying it but Im a student so I also have some projects written in Python, a chess game and Tetris clone. Do you think it’s worth including these on my resume?

    I have portfolio with projects, know html, css, sass, tailwind, javascript, typescript, react, python, c. Learning java and sql now. I spend last year looking for a job and never got an answer from any company. I'm so tired.

      It mostly depends on what jobs you're applying to. Do they need someone with experience in those technologies? Like I'd base it off of that. Know what I mean?

      The frameworks/languages you learn should be based on what jobs you're applying to. So for example, if the majority of the jobs you're applying to are asking for React and Node experience then make sure you have experience with those!

      Why is that. I am just finishing twitter copy with react and firebase. About to do 4 more projects and apply. Talked to some people in industry all say its possible. What issues did you encounter

      @@luka9340 1) I’ve successfully done some pretty decent sized jobs as a freelancer. A full stack app and some frontend only websites.but can be months between between jobs. 2) Hard to find places to apply to that are not scammed or outrageous requirements. Requirements that would send you’re resume to the bottom of the list even if you do apply. 3) no callbacks.

      @@luka9340 And yeah I can build pretty advanced frontend sites that basically mimick the fancy web flow sites, and also add auth, backends, do crud, and all that as well. React, next, Astro, qwik and cms as well. I think the biggest obstacle too is only have an AA degree.

    What do you recommend to someone just starting out in learning how to do iOS development, but wanting to eventually become either a front-end engineer, or a full-stack engineer? I'm learning through Codecademy if that is helpful at all.

      Do you the react doc on the react website. Their documentation is some of the best I've seen. If you can't understand the doc then follow a video tutorial on TH-cam

      Hi, thanks for the question! My mentor has actually really tried to push me in the direction of Blockchain dev. From what I understand, it's the wild west. It might be risky, but you can get paid handsomely.

      You need to make them live. No screenshots, you need a real website if you want people to think you are a real developer.
