@@Fuzcapp the problem is that it’s a very non beginner friendly sport. Some of the people who play squash are complete assholes and don’t like new players in their sport. The barrier to the top level is so hard that it’s almost not worth trying, someone needs to make Squash a more friendly and accessible sport before it gains popularity.

@@zigzagnemesist5074I know this comment was from a while ago, but I would like to refute your point. Squash, for me, is an amazing game. I’ve played for 8 years now and was top 50 ranked in the Bu15 division. I do understand why you say the barrier to the top level is high, but how is that different from any other sport? I kinda suck at basketball, football, soccer, but still have fun playing with my friends. I argue that the skill level is even higher there. It’s not the skill ceiling, rather that good coaches and information isn’t readily available.
Game 5, Ashour vs. Elshorbagy in 2014 World Champs final might just have the edge...

I just started playing Squash with my friend. I love it and I cannot stop smiling while playing it is so fun!

Me and my friend have the idea of starting to play squash and I'm really looking forward to it! I used to play badminton, and mostly play football but I don't think I'm ready for the impending workout that Squash will give me.

thank you psa squash tv. that was nice to watch. Of all current players, I reckon Farag is best deserved to become next number one, always a gentleman but also obviously very talented and always shows good sportsmanship. I have a feeling he's probably the most liked player on the tour amongst his peers. If El Tayeb and him have a child, imagine the potential.

In my opinion, the best game ever would always be either the first game between Gaultier-Wilstroup in Punj Llyod or third game between Mathew-Wilstroup in Canary Wharf. Such accurate hitting for such a long time under so much exhaustion.
Best ? Interesting, yes. Exciting, yes, sometimes Frustrating to see the faults. But not Best
Obviously they aren't at their peak after playing 3 games. In terms of how physically demanding, while still being exciting and entertaining i'd argue one of the best.

First time watching a game of squash and its fairly simple to understand, but I also get the level of dexterity it requires and it is amazing
From watching this squash game too good. I first started playing squash back in 2000 in Australia when i was in primary doing grade seven.

shorbagy - willstrop 5th game in Hong Kong i believe? 20-18 to willstrop in the end is probably the best ive ever seen, however this is pretty high up there! the quality and difference in these guy's games makes it so fun to watch!

With which kind of ball do they play? I feel like it's bouncing way more than the one I'm playing with, a black one with one yellow dot.
They play with a white ball for more visibility and it’s a 2 dot which bounces less but they will have it warmer and they will hit it harder

Why did it come to a stroke at 12:40? Neither Farag nor Elshorbagy was hit by the ball.
Farag didnt give Eshorbagy a direct line to the ball that he could have played - hence a stroke.

Too many errors, and to many short and down the middle balls to be consider one of the bests games of squash of the history, in fact, in this same tournament, I liked better the 1st and 2nd games between Elshorbagy and Gaultier or any game of the final, wich was pretty exciting and high quality
Our squash balls never bounce as high as that.
yeah - i have trouble getting the double yellow to shoot off the front wall. I guess we are not hitting it as cleanly as consistently as these guys.

This ball moves a lot slower than a racquetball.
the difference is that a racquetball ball is extremely bouncy, so the court needs to be bigger, in order to make it harder for players to get it. In squash the ball dies very quickly, so, you need to be very fast to get it. In any case, if you want the fastest ball of any racquet sports, that would be badminton (with a record of 206mph). That of racquetball is 191mph, on squash 176mph, and on tennis 156mph. That does not make one sport better/worse than any other though, court size and net/tin height is adjusted accordingly to make the sport push athletes to the limit. So, ball speed is not a very meaningful comparison :)

Having grown up playing this sport to a pretty good level (played with Willstrop and others at junior level) I can honestly say I think the standard of the top pro’s has dropped. The squash nowadays isn’t measured, they just blitz it around court. These guys wouldn’t live with the likes of Jansher Khan etc. Good players obviously but definitely not the best I’ve seen.
