What I don’t get about pvp texture packs is why they’re so bad. Most of them look nice, sure, but most of them give a practical disadvantage compared to vanilla and none of them seem to actually be optimised for winning.
@Unsound Mussel by using bad colours for items and gui elements that make it harder to register things, perhaps the biggest thing they do wrong is making everything the same colour pallet since that makes subconscious recognition a lot slower. And things like changing the colour of hearts etc. Lots of them have different materials looking similar which is also bad, and have most of items like tools, armour, weapons heavily darkened which makes instantly differentiating them require more mental effort to do. And perhaps the biggest offender is crystal pvp items, with end crystals being bad colours or in extreme cases literally wireframe, and obsidian often being dark and plain which is also bad for recognising block combinations. Ideally end crystals should be red, any other colour is much worse from a scientific standpoint.

1.9 is a small community, just now has it been expanded lol, but dont expect them to get good any time soon.

Its a very very very small pack making community, Basically meaning the good pack makers arent here yet (iSparkton, looshy, Tory and more)
@@foshyy8629 there are hundreds of them though, it can’t be that small. All the main PvPers have their own lines of packs.
The most annoying thing bout them are them being inconsistent, like one is 32x and the other is 16x or a completely different design
