I used this video as a guide, although I didn’t have all the exact colours you used. It has turned out to be my best painted miniature by far. Thank you for the video.
Can't wait to get this one on the go. I picked up this model a few weeks ago. The down side is I've already base coated it grey, but I guess a quick blast of black over won't hurt too much.
So happy I’ve found this vid ( and your channel ) I’ve had this model sat in a box for years, and not known where to begin. Even better is that I have pretty much all the paints that you used in your tutorial, so I don’t have to spend a fortune picking up a whole new palette of colours. Thanks for the vid.
Just finished Théoden and im going to use all of your guides for Lotrs. Usually use Warhammer TV but they don't care about this game. Your channel is a life saver. Don't suppose you want to do guides on the entire range lol?
Again, simply awesome tutorial. Helps me to learn and improve my own collection. Thank you very much for it, and I am relly happy to see you do more of the Middle earth models.
Hello sir! Great tutorial, just recently bought this miniature. I don't have skavenblight dinge in my asenal... I was wondering - dryad bark seems pretty similar on the chart, but skavenblight on your tutorial looks very bright when you paint with it. So I miss something or it is just a watered paint + light playing with me?
I’m late to this party but I’m following this amazing tutorial! I have a question though, did you say at any point how you painted the spikes along the fell beasts spine? I’ve watched several times so if I’ve missed it I’m dumb and I’m sorry!
Fantasic tutorial. I will be painting my own over the next few days. Was just wondering how do you varnish ur minis ? At the moment im using a matt spray varnish but I not like how it takes the shine of the metals. Do you have any advice that could help me out please?
I use a matt varnish as well. You could try applying a thin layer of brush on gloss varnish over these areas after you've sprayed. That should help to bring back the shine.
Certainly! The scales on the back are fine for this but those on the jaw, neck and legs are a little softer so they might not take a drybrushing quite as well.
Thank you! A LOTR tutorial with GW paints! I wonder why they’ve never released any painting tutorials themselves, although it’s probably due to copyright issues.
Nice! So how much time did you devote in total? Also i am new to age of sigmar and is plastic glue good in gluing together the pieces and is it bad for health?
This miniature took around 6 hours to assemble, prime and paint not including the filming time. Plastic glue is fine so long as you use it in a well ventilated area and don't.. y'know stick it up your nose. I use something called Plastic Magic which has a slightly less potent smell than other plastic glues.
The witch-king's not evil, he's just misunderstood .. nice paint job - that model looks like it was sculpted in 1066 ... it's terrible quality ... it's not one of the new released one's is it?
It's not too old actually, but it looks really great in person! I actually love the minis from the LOTR Hobbit range. They are much more realistically proportioned (as oppossed to GWs otherranges

Excellent work - love the flaming blade. Always impressed with the results on your tutorials from really simple seeming techniques :)
Rohan warriors/mordor orcs guide please!
Just bought the pelennor box set just wish there was a decent tutorial for the mordor troll on TH-cam I hope you will do one
Im for sure thinking reikland fleshshade with some agrax earth shade would look awesome
Fantastic video again!
I hoping you will be doing the Rohirrim, Army of the Dead and Morannon Orcs soon.
Army of the Dead has already been filmed and the Rohirrim and Morannon Orcs are primed and ready to be tackled :D
@@PeteTheWargamer brilliant can't wait to see the tutorial.
@@PeteTheWargamer can't wait 😆
Can't wait !
Are you going to be doing more LOTR Tutorials? Would love to see more! Keep up the great work! :)
Yep there will definitely be more to come!
Any chance of doing any Gondor or Rivendell next????
I'll probably finish off the Pelennor Fields boxed set first and then after that? Who knows!
Pete amazing work like allways! Do you painting mordor orcs in coming future ?? :D
Great vid would love to see some Morannon Orcs painted!

Wow so simple to follow along with! Great video
Were the Witch-King’s robes base-coated Eshin Grey after the black primer before the highlights? I think this step was skipped??
I'm having a go at my own nazgul in the coming weeks ,great tutorial, thankyou 👍👍
Good luck :D
@@PeteTheWargamer cheers I'll let you know how it goes
Great tutorial as always. Loving those wings!
Any chance on painting the dark Lord Sauron??? Or have any hints? :)
Again, simply awesome tutorial. Helps me to learn and improve my own collection. Thank you very much for it, and I am relly happy to see you do more of the Middle earth models.
You're very much welcome :D
Were the Witch King’s robes based Eshin Grey before highlights?
😍 amazing!
Could you possibly paint Guritz and Gothmog’s enforcer if you will have it???
The one that is coming out from Forge World? That's a nice looking miniature so just maybe!

The "Bloodletter" you are using seems to have been discontinued. What would you recommend using instead from the currently available paints?
Maybe Evil Sunz Scarlet?
Very nice! What is the base that you used?
This is great! Do you have any photos posted anywhere?

Thanks for this man! I've been stressing about how to paint him.
Your welcome :D

Really well done! Thanks for sharing this.
You're welcome
Please do you have the color list? I am totally newbie
Hey man, what’s the wire you connect to the separate parts whilst painting them?
Thanks for this amazing tutorial! I did not know how I had to paint this Fell beast befor😂
Would it be possible to drybrush the scales ? That would be more time efficient, i think.
Certainly! The scales on the back are fine for this but those on the jaw, neck and legs are a little softer so they might not take a drybrushing quite as well.
Would love to see some Riders of Rohan next!
I would hope to be able to tackle every mini in the Pelennor Fields boxed set.
Thank you! A LOTR tutorial with GW paints! I wonder why they’ve never released any painting tutorials themselves, although it’s probably due to copyright issues.
I know they have them in the citadel paint app but they aren't tutorials as such, they're just lists of paints to use.
Nice! So how much time did you devote in total?

Great video ! Can we expect a Afrika korps tutorial in the next weeks?
There are indeed a DAK trooper and a Desert Rat on my painting desk.
great tutorial. really helpful.
what brushes you use??
Can you do a video for the orcs and the different skin tones
Good idea, kind of like how I showed the different gryph hound schemes at the end of this video? th-cam.com/video/lzLRLIHeP-8/w-d-xo.htmlm55s
Yes!! please keep doing more LotR tutorials
Will do!
What was the first base paint used for the Witch King's robes?
I primed with black so any black paint will work
Sorry, I meant the first paint used on the Witch King's robes after the priming. Skavenblight Dinge as well? @@PeteTheWargamer
This would probably look pretty nice on Tyranids as well...
I'd love to see more from the pellenor box set
I've going to try and tackle the whole box. Which means that warriors of the dead, Mordor trolls, rohirrim and orcs are still to come
Dude. Shared on my page again. Did I mention u are a legend
Thanks! It's much appreciated :D
Amazing as always
Your voice has plane-announcement energy
Excellent. Thanks for the video.
That was SO cool.
Thanks :D
so good tutorial!
Where do you get these LotR minis?
They are in the new Pelennor Fields boxed set released a couple of weeks ago.
Great work!
a rusty morannon orc would ve awsome and helpfull!
That's the plan :D

You say at the end to look in the description for your wet Pallett but can't see anything in the description about it.

Three hunters Aragorn?
Can u paint orks
Like these guys? th-cam.com/video/6CofhWQAeyc/w-d-xo.html
Hi
3 people are afraid of Nazgul
you didn't pain the eyes xD
damn thats like 140 dollars worth of paint right there
That you can use over and over again on other miniatures ;)
This isnt the Witch King... looks nothing like Malekith lol
I’m probably YouTubing wrong when I hit Like 5 seconds into the video!
From my point of view, you're YouTubing perfectly fine ;)
The witch-king's not evil, he's just misunderstood .. nice paint job - that model looks like it was sculpted in 1066 ... it's terrible quality ... it's not one of the new released one's is it?
Carl Mayne think so? It’s definitely an older mini but I kinda like it.
It's not too old actually, but it looks really great in person! I actually love the minis from the LOTR Hobbit range. They are much more realistically proportioned (as oppossed to GWs otherranges
It's the neck, the underside and the wings, look flat of any detail. Witch-king looks ok though :D
@@carlmayne3519 gotcha, I see what you mean. that new Theodan is pretty awesome though!
