I think P5 had the only straight up killable final boss... And that's likely because Yaldabaoth was: A. A completely fake god born out of mass delusion and human wishes gone wrong. B. An existence completely dependent on the metaverse to even exist at all, and where human will could directly interfere with him. Cue Joker's Satanael sized bullet to the head. But yeah, P5 aside, final bosses in Persona are straight up unkillable gods.... freaking scary tbh.

This boss theme is very memorable to me because of the struggle I went through to survive Nyx Avatar's final phase, where it would mostly use Moonless Gown and Night Queen.
Moonless Gown wasn't annoying to me at all since when he goes into that phase it saves my party time to heal up and if they attack him they take null damage since they are immune to their own attacks. It's Night Queen that'll screw you over since it'll do a ton of damage and put aliments on you and your party so you better hope for the best you weren't charmed or enraged because it's annoying that Nyx will use Night Queen then he'll do an almighty attack that'll do so much damage since you are affected by an aliment.

I played on P3P does nyx got easier ? i legit think he is not that hard when you always keep buff on you (like in every persona... i hope they'll change the battle system because it's almost always the same strategy)

Later this year marks the ten-year anniversary of completing the game for the first and only time. Took me TWO HOURS to beat Nyx, and I intend on doing it again on that day. Still the greatest game I've ever played. Not the best, but it did more things for me and my life than any other game has before or since.

It's more like this for me: 3: you can feel how much is on the line. 4: Mist/Fog was good but after after it felt like nothing was on the line. 5: it felt personal for the final fights.
Persona 3 Portable: Final boss theme > Battle themes > daily life themes > dungeon themes > boss battle themes Persona 4 Golden: Daily life themes > Battle themes > boss battle themes > dungeon themes > final boss themes Persona 5 Royal: Daily life themes = Boss battle themes = battle themes = final boss themes = dungeon themes I'd say the daily life themes in persona games have gotten better and the battle themes are just as good, but imo the final boss themes have only gotten "worse". I still like em but P3 still has my favorite final boss theme of the three. I think Jaldabaoth is underrated tho. Also if we count throw your mask away P5R actually has one of the best final boss themes which I'd personally tie with P3's. I'd say P5 had the best balance of music quality while Persona 4 had the most banger daily life themes. In terms of battle themes I'd give the edge to P4 and P5 since I find them more catchy than Mass Destruction and for boss battles I'd say the same because I like meguro rock more than what P3 did. But if we were to consider the FEMC route, her battle theme is among the best imo and her boss theme has that meguro rock so that gives P3 more points. P4 and P5 are tied for boss music (slight edge to P5 for having stuff that sounds like DDS) but P5 has the better dungeon themes imo. But P5 daily life themes will never beat P4 for me, they're just too infectiously catchy with that jpop lol. Personally I like P3 music but I still prefer P4 and P5 music. Overall I'd say the music is getting better each game, can't wait for P6.
I have a personal headcanon that door-kun was cursed to die at some point because housing death for years would have some side effect. And the graduation was his last day. And the entire is just him living his last days to the fullest. That’s why his design is so gloomy, cause he’s a dead man walking, until he awakens to his persona.
Last year i played through 3 portable on a emulator, took me i shit you not 6 hours to beat him (save stated to take a 90 min break) this was the most intense 6 hours of my life

If anyone knew how to remain faithful to the original OST, it was him- the problem is that it's hard to be faithful and innovative at the same time, so the result can only be a "worse" version of the original. It's way too hard to better something that's already that good.

5's was pretty good
but 3 radiates with final boss, and it means it
It's more like this for me:
3: you can feel how much is on the line.
4: Mist/Fog was good but after after it felt like nothing was on the line.
5: it felt personal for the final fights.
Persona 3 Portable: Final boss theme > Battle themes > daily life themes > dungeon themes > boss battle themes
Persona 4 Golden: Daily life themes > Battle themes > boss battle themes > dungeon themes > final boss themes
Persona 5 Royal: Daily life themes = Boss battle themes = battle themes = final boss themes = dungeon themes
I'd say the daily life themes in persona games have gotten better and the battle themes are just as good, but imo the final boss themes have only gotten "worse". I still like em but P3 still has my favorite final boss theme of the three. I think Jaldabaoth is underrated tho. Also if we count throw your mask away P5R actually has one of the best final boss themes which I'd personally tie with P3's. I'd say P5 had the best balance of music quality while Persona 4 had the most banger daily life themes. In terms of battle themes I'd give the edge to P4 and P5 since I find them more catchy than Mass Destruction and for boss battles I'd say the same because I like meguro rock more than what P3 did. But if we were to consider the FEMC route, her battle theme is among the best imo and her boss theme has that meguro rock so that gives P3 more points. P4 and P5 are tied for boss music (slight edge to P5 for having stuff that sounds like DDS) but P5 has the better dungeon themes imo. But P5 daily life themes will never beat P4 for me, they're just too infectiously catchy with that jpop lol. Personally I like P3 music but I still prefer P4 and P5 music. Overall I'd say the music is getting better each game, can't wait for P6.

Last year i played through 3 portable on a emulator, took me i shit you not 6 hours to beat him (save stated to take a 90 min break) this was the most intense 6 hours of my life

Hey I remember this theme. I was like 30 minutes into this fight then Nyx avatar used moonless gown and my dumbass pressed the rush button by accident and I got killed by my own attack.......hoooooo boyyyyyy
I convinced my friend to use Armageddon during it. (But he was hacking and had unlimited items so it was all in good fun)
Man..I may love persona 4’s cast the most but persona 3 is without a doubt my favorite game of all time.
Best final battle theme from a Persona game , literally remix's the velvet room into the boss. Also , this dudes probably the best protagonist after P2.

p3 nyx is just a Cthulhu-esce being having similarities to the nyx in mythos.

@@zeroexe592 That is exactly how it went, yes. The composer was Atsushi Kitajoh, who worked alongside Meguro a myriad of times for many games. If anyone knew how to remain faithful to the original OST, it was him- the problem is that it's hard to be faithful and innovative at the same time, so the result can only be a "worse" version of the original. It's way too hard to better something that's already that good.
