  • in this video i discussed the circuit diagram and how to repair and troubleshoot inverter IGBT based welding machine. in this section i discussed the high frequency ferrite core high current transformer and the output rectifier circuit. the smps transformer takes input drive from IGBT transistors and the center tapped secondary is connected the molded D92-20 rectifier set connected in parallel. there is a shunt which is used as a current sense. the SG3525 IC provides a drive signal to the IGBT gates through gate driver network.
    this china MMA-200T Inverter IGBT Welder Machine - Circuit Explained & Troubleshooting Part -1, is single phase 220 VAC operated. it have a bridge rectifier which rectifies the main ac voltage into dc voltage, which are connected to pair of dc capacitors through a relay contacts and in parallel 110 ohms ntc resistor. this nts protects from inrush current and upon receiving relay drive signal it switches the rectified voltage to capacitors so, the ntc is bypassed to get full current to drive igbt.

    very good ,this is the best smps tutorial channel in youtube's history, so great job ,keep it up.I had a question about smps , i have an smps that have correct stable , regulated voltage but it has very little current , it doesnt even light up an LED how can i repair it , please help me .

    I watched last night and was reminded how I completely forgot how the voltage and current is changed with the digital systems power supplies. I didn't think about how a square wave can be transformed and have seen in the past... though really stuck this time for the high power designs as well. Guessing from waht I understand, the torroid or high magnetic permeability material core is designed for the frequency of switching... maybe a midpoint if there is adjustment. Then the typical winding ratios for the desired midpoint of output voltage(s) and current(s). Then that alternating current square wave is rectified so to be a DC output. I'm new to the high frequency transformers in general, so is neat to have that learning moment. Thank you sir and kind regards, In Christ.

      @@HaseebElectronics SirJi, my model do not have relay and NTC. Pls suggest me some fuse or circuit breaker for input protection from high voltage and subsequent hi amp draw. My unit inrush current is 48 amps.

    Hi Haseeb, I have a single board jasic inverter with a problem. The output rectifier IGBTs all exploded so I replaced them and the machine now has 75v OCV (normal) but won't strike an arc (only very weak sparks), voltage seems to drop to around 50v when it sparks slightly. I've already blown up one set of IGBTs. The output tests ok as per this video. What should I try next? Many thanks.

      ya aik side ki drive pulse miss ho sakti he
      transformer ki secondary side ki winding ya rectifier circuit dekhein

    I was wondering how to know wheater caps were dc. In the previous video u measured dc voltage across capacitor. I though caps in dc act as open circuit and ac it act normal. Ie charging and discharging phase

      i am sharing the working concept, for example IGBT have to receive pulse and it have to switch
      if i go in deep details of every component, viewer complain to me for long videos. so i try to make it some short

    I have a welding machine with one card, it was not working, but I fed it 24v, so the screen and the fan worked, but there is no output, knowing that the ignt is intact and the schottky diode is intact. Can you help me fix it?

      or
      just multiply input ac voltage with 1.414 to calculate dc voltage on dc capacitors (after bridge rectification)

    From d c supply you receive d c...so this is inductor or transformer...because transformer is for a c only....you receive dc from previous supply or card
