    in this video i discussed the circuit diagram of SD6834 / SD6832 Current mode SMPS PWM controller circuit. this ic is used to provide offline switching to produce 25VDC which are regulated in further +5VDC using KA7805 LM7805 and 15 VDC using KA7815 LM7815 UA7815 to provide biasing voltage for display circuit, SG3525 inverter circuit to drive the gates of IGBT transistors. video is narrated in urdu / hindi language and how to repair and troubleshoot inverter IGBT based welding machine. it is titled Inverter IGBT Welder Machine (Part -4) Low Voltage SMPS Circuit Explained & Troubleshooting because this power supply is to convert +330vdc to low voltage 25VDC.
    in last videos i discussed the Inverter IGBT Welder Machine (Part -3) IGBT & Gate Driver Circuit Explained & Troubleshooting sg3525 oscillator circuit provides a drive signal to the signal transformer which have two secondary windings (180 degree out of phase to each other) in each secondary there is a gate pulse forming network for igbt. igbt switches and provides power drive to the high frequency transformer takes input drive from IGBT transistors and the center tapped secondary is connected the molded D92-20 rectifier set connected in parallel. there is a shunt which is used as a current sense. the SG3525 IC provides a drive signal to the IGBT gates through gate driver network.
    this china MMA-200T Inverter IGBT Welder Machine - Circuit Explained & Troubleshooting Part -1, is single phase 220 VAC operated. it have a bridge rectifier which rectifies the main ac voltage into dc voltage, which are connected to pair of dc capacitors through a relay contacts and in parallel 110 ohms ntc resistor. this nts protects from inrush current and upon receiving relay drive signal it switches the rectified voltage to capacitors so, the ntc is bypassed to get full current to drive igbt.

    A nice touch offering up alternatives to solve problems. We need to be problem solvers and that includes not throwing away a useful piece of equipment just because one of the SMPS in a system is bad or unavailable components. Nice work around for measuring PWM too. Well done.

    I doubt that 68kOhm is correct. If so, Vcc of IC would be 55 Volt that would be too much for capacitor and IC as well. Looks more like 15 kOhm.
    Nice trick with external power injection on capacitor to check function of low voltage aera. Thank you. 👍

      now a days i am using Weller WR3M rework station, but is much expensive and its spare parts are notoriously expensive
      before this i used HAKKO 701 ESD safe rework station. it is much cheaper than this WELLER and its spare parts toooooooo cheaper than WELLER

    This is what I call power jumping, some times if I fail to get the ic ,I use a 24v external Chinese smps in Uganda it is difficult to get spare parts,so as a technician I use a 24v smps. Thanks for your work.

    Wow, great series of videos! Thanks for sharing man! Much appreciated. Any videos on offset high power circuits say for instance like taking the square wave like from a modified sine wave inverter (though for use in welding I'd like to know eventually so to construct) and offsetting so able to set different ratios of DCEP or DCEN for TIG welding aluminum best.
    Seems like need another half bridge so a full H-bridge to be able to design & construct. Then can make the alternating current square wave that somehow can be adjusted to offset where I guess just having a power control of some sort like another PWM or switching circuit for each voltage range side (DCEP and DCEN ) to change the power averaged on each side H-bridge switching event.

      On another and somewhat similar note, I'd like to learn how to use the Prius Gen3 inverter h-bridge for generic rectified inputs for optional 120, 208-240 and 460-480 pure sine wave outputs since seems like is feasible with the properly designed controller.
      I was also wondering what would be the best way to design a circuit for options to output as a welder power supply besides feedback for CV or CC and frequency control, in particular a high power offset circuit so for use in aluminum welding, i.e. an offset square wave so can select a range of DCEP or DCEN ratios. So that is why this is somewhat related since the control board design would be similar for the welding controls.

    I has a 200 arc welding machine which is one spark no working at all and the o.c alarm will come on ,what is the problem and how can I find out the faults?

      most of time it needs to calibrate the control card potentiometers for output current, current transformer signal and current setting potetniometer (front panel current knob)

    I am with a weld machin which turns on and turns off when i want to weld. O tested two IGBT and are ok. There aren't short in power circuit. But the wave form of IGBT gate aren't square and voltage in the module board is up and down in looping ( all eletrolytic caps and IC's). Same happens to fan connector. Why ? Is it PWM the issue ?

    inverter welding for repair had low 5v of 7815. d output was open and 15v was read.
    there'was no shorted. 2pcs mosfet were also good.
    possibly whre's d problem?thnks in advanve

      may be 7815 is defective so it may be reason for low voltage
      or may be there is some short in 7815 line

      @@HaseebElectronics if there's a load, d 7815 could not regulate its volt. while d output is open, the volt turns good. 7815 should be replaced to see if same result.
      other parts were tested and found no shorted.

      it is too difficult, because welding machine is just current controlled based, while
      battery charger is Voltage controlled & current controlled

    Hi,
    I have a similar circuit from my welder. I believe it acts more like a current source, than a voltage source.
    If I want to convert this to a a 48 PSU, can I just...
    1. Reduce # of windings on output transformer (it is middle tapped, so I'd reduce each side)..
    2. Add a large electrolytic capacitor to the output?

      @@Darkoford-tools-electronics for price, is more relianle to buy cheap low cost plasma and upgrade it for more durabiliter and power. Me when im done my repair. I add 2 rectifier . Stock 60amp and 80-90% load ...after.. 100amp and 45-60% load. No heating, and extending life ...(i should not tested but module is ready to plug in) (2x 30amp +2x20amp (20 because is what i have). I wouldlike to update igbt resistor itoo by 2w ou 4w resistor dont know rhe effect. And propably add some ceramique capacitor and add 2cap on pilot arc capacitor bank.(2slot not useed)
      Dont need more power machine. Just trying to get better duty cycle whitout heating or damaging componoent. Unload coponent to get better reliability
