Personally, it felt like you understated the fear part. I know it is extremely difficult to describe and pinpoint, but I think that intimidation and fear are pretty much 2 of the most important things in PvP. It is literally the single most dangerous weapon you could ever wield. If you think you will lose, you are a lot more likely to do so. I mean, just imagine being the God of Fear. Nobody would be able to stand against you simply because they would be too afraid. And if said God actually had some strength to back it up, those foolish enough to defy you regardless would be made examples, increasing the fear of those who know about it, even through inferences.
Example: If you are getting to the middle in Sky Wars and see a bunch of loot scattered all over the place and then see a guy start running at you, even with gear as good as yours, you will probably think you are screwed, automatically making you weaker. If you think you will lose, you are a lot more likely to do so.
I agree, I really wanted to talk about fear in the context of pvp but it is so hard in a 10-15 minute video (i was already going over thr length I wanted it to be)

One more thing: in an earlier stream, he said that his cps is around 7, so you can really see how much more aim is prioritized. He has really good aim now though, so he can probably click more without sacrificing the aim.
Yes I remember him saying during Minecraft Monday once he only clicks 6-7 cps, he focuses mainly on aim and it works pretty well. Also yeah he probably can click a bit faster too, athough I assume he still normal clicks just maybe slightly faster at around 9-10 if he is really tryharding

How to play like techno: be a solid and smart all-around player
So, many people came here to learn something, so here are a few tips:
My main strategy is being unpredictable. I often throw epearls behind someone that I'm stalling a fight with and chuck em off the island.
Another thing I personally agree with is the fear part. When you see a full diamond player rushing at you when youre on 4 hearts you make a run for it, right? (I don't run until 2.5 hearts but that doesn't matter) well if you can catch up to this 4 hearts player with crappy gear, they won't fight back. Likewise, people who nearly kill me are the ones who fight back.
In skywars, don't get on the edge of the island so you have the low ground advantage for reach. Don't actively try to get low ground reach, but take the opportunity when you have it.
I often strafe diagonally while smacking them until my opponent is completely of target then I combo them with a sprint hit to start off so they can't escape too early.
I completely agree, armor has a much bigger effect than just how much damage someone takes. It can also make people more scared to fight if you have better armor, and on the other hand, can make someone more cocky and open to mistakes of they have too good armor.
@@yellowbed and having weak armour makes you a target, so having weak armour makes you take more damage in more than one way!
By the way, your analysis was very good. I think you highlighted key points very well.
Also, having stronger armour makes you a target as well! I mean, I would take the opportunity to stab a diamond guy which I've observed to be sub par at pvp, I mean, a free set of diamond armour is not something you turn down.
Instinct is most certainly another core aspect of pvp. In survival servers, I've flicked my sight backwards when my ally jumped behind me from pure habit, lifesaving habit at that.
fighting someone with 4 hearts is dumb, u have a higher chance of escaping than living
So once I was playing bedwars I killed a person on aqua team with half heart left then gray came and broke aquas bed but becuz of my prot dia armour he ran away and didn't fight me when I was on half heart and I knew that so I started going from him and killed him wiht 2 hearts becuz I was regenerating

How you analyzed this really impressed me, I never thought to notice where he was aiming on the player's body, and the punchlines used hit extremely well. How you edit and use your skills for your videos is underappreciatedly impressive, I hope it becomes more recognized as you continue to grow on TH-cam.

I beat calvin technos master in rod pvp and I can say Techno and Calvin are just above average not the pros or something.
techno was that good in his prime tbh, he's a great content created, but he honestly isn't that good at pvp

10:11 Though not in the same sense you used it, I believe so too. The human civilization has survived because of fear. They developed ways to escape from predators and over years of development, we became the apex of the food chain. This applies with almost anything in general too. Fear makes you think about how you're gonna survive and that is the very reason why people develop strategies in the first place
I like this thinking a lot. That’s honestly why he wins a lot nowadays, he has such a large reputation as this terrifying player ever since minecraft monday that no one really wants to fight back
The cobweb and creeper play was the best example to show how smart he is
This just goes to show how switched on and technical techno was as a Minecraft player he is literally using Pythagoras theorem to gain an advantage over his opponents a concept which most people struggle to even grasp

I have also noticed he tends to w-tap or s-tap so as to reset his sprint and to deal more kb, TapL uses this and so does other intense pvpers like intel edits and cxlvin

This makes me happy because I'm a power person. I see the opponent and I rhinoceros charge right at them. Not even caring if I get hit as long as they go down. That doesn't work in pvp. Granted I got a few kills but it didn't take me long to realize "hmm. Not working. Gotta be a better way" and finding out it's more strategic than power made me happy that I can unleash my brain and strategies into my play. Techno actually inspired me to be a better pvp fighter. His attacks were technical and right on and smooth at times and there's hardly anybody like him. I get taken down by skeletons on a daily basis at times lol. Minecraft should create a pvp school where they teach all the methods of how to be great m.c. fighters

6:18 what is a tactical critical hit? And how to do one?
Good question. in bedwars you can see their heslth and usually you’ll just hit them normally, but in this case Techno saw their health was 5 (or two and a half hearts) and knew if he did a normal hit it would leave them on 1 hp. That’s why I presume he “tactically” crit in that situation as he knew it would kill in one hit instead of two, letting him break the bed quicker
Also you crit by attacking on the downwards like I said earlier in the video, I said “tactical” because he strategized beforehand. It was just a normal crit but he had it planned out :)
I crap you not, I played Duels on Cubecraft. Remembered his theory of triangular advantage, where them being up a block gives you an advantage, and a Sun Tzu quote:
“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.”
I hid until they got closer, then hit them a block up and played catch with them, remembered another quote:
“The opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.”
His teammate was rapidly swinging his sword, and jumping to try and crit me out. Not gonna happen. The moment he jumped, I hit him in the chest, and played catch with him till he died.
Technoblade never dies. Or, at least, his fighting style doesn’t. I genuinely recommend you use Sun Tzu quotes as motivation, I know Techno used it as a meme, but it works!
