*Thank you to everyone who contributed to the 2M views.* This was one of the first videos to be uploaded on this channel and one of the first to go viral. Thanks again ✌
My father also had a 08 5.7 HEMI Overland. I can tell you for the 4 years he had it, the car was a joy to drive and went everywhere. NO problems whatsoever.
Hemi engines are full of muscles. Best Jeep engine I ever tried. 💪
Former WK Grand Cherokee owner, it was a really good car
Now that's a Jeep, Grand Cherokees are awesome off-roaders.
no
@@dylanmoncreiff5232 upset you couldnt get a grand?
Toyota's are usually in this position. Its a good thing there are Jeeps around to save them.
Are you high 😂😂😂 it's offloading there are tons of videos of Toyota pulling Jeep jeep pulling Toyota and it doesn't matter and Jeep make crap and that's the truth and if you don't trust me buy any new gen Jeeps
PetrolHead Debagaaa mate I love my Toyota’s - I had a 100 series Kakadu which was a beautiful vehicle on and offroad. Off road though they have nothing on a grand Cherokee when talking stock for stock on a weekend warriors trip away. My mate just got rid of his sahara to buy a WK overland. My father runs a wh and wk. no doubt the Toyota’s are awesome, we live in 79s and Hiluxs at work but for weekend trips I’d take a Jeep anyday
chrisandshazza01 I don’t doubt you but if the jeeps really were all that great why don’t they hold value like the LCs?
jeeps are trash
@@stealthworx4371 Hey bud, are you kidding or what?

And when authorized experts test a Jeep, anywhere in the world, they say the same:
th-cam.com/video/vhdwm3Sj4Uc/w-d-xo.html
Every year almost half million people purchase a Jeep (Wrangler, Grand Cherokee) in the most unloyal and traitor market in the automobile market, the US, outselling Toyota 4Runner by far. So stop kidding, bud. Greetings from Costa Rica.
Yeah, we have them also. They're a bit more popular than HEMI's due to high fuel prices $6/gallon. For Australia, this is expensive. I know the fuel is much dearer in Europe too and that HEMI's aren't that common there, that's why there's a lot of diesel cars over there. They only started getting popular here in the last decade.
That LandCruiser didn't need a recovery, just a better driver. And maybe a less worn set of tires,
Easier said than done. Even the Jeep had crappy tyres and it had to start out of a more difficult position while pulling the boat anchor at the same time :)
Aussie Four Wheelers (Hemi4WD) Toyota=Shitbox
Yep and it had to be towed out.
No it's just a peace of shit
Excuse me mate. We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and its a SHIT car. Reply if you want me to list all the problems.
sweet! honestly surprised there, that was a tough pit to get out of. Jeeps are one of the first REAL Off-road vehicles. Definitely showed some toughness in that video for real! glad to see an American made vehicle so reliable. Hard to find theses days! Btw i own a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L V8 and love it! although the Hemi 5.7L in this video is A LOT of power!
Actually this model didn't fail the test but as you said, most of the rollovers are done in SUV's. Also once they're lifted and fitted with bigger tyres, any SUV will fail due to higher centre of gravity.
Love Jeep all the way!
Jeeps are the best
Jeep, just got to love it :)
Yes there is. I'll post it soon. You're right about the tie down, won't do that again!!
Why not? Because it has open diffs. Without lockers or traction control, in plain 4LO with open diffs, you'll only get one wheel spinning at each diff if one of the tyres is stuck, so what you're seeing is the rear wheel being stuck but the other wheel was still spinning.
Yeah, I understand that when you're not used to seeing it like that. It's similar for us but we're a bit more familiar with (opposite) LHD vehicles through movies and there might be a few rare RHD Mustang, Chevy and Dodge imports roaming around the highways here.
I test drove the hemi jeep 2012 at the dealership yesterday. Doing oil change at the dealers and figured I'd test drive the new jeeps.
Its nothing like jeep ever put out in previous model's. I almost forgot I was in American brand. The interior was beautiful and everything was thought out. I did however hit my head comming into the jeep. (5'11) But the seats were very comfortable (230ish inshape). View was ok. Had a few blind spots.
Where it really shines is the performance!!
Ese coche es increíble, desde 2007 que lo tenemos y todavía no ha dado un fallo, ya estamos en 2023, 16 años de coche, que maravilla, es el motor más potente y fuerte que he visto, un verdadero todoterreno!!
First, you don't know the corresponding year models to the shapes of either vehicle. The LC in the video is the 100-series (98-07) and the GC is the WH (05-10) model. The model production years overlap. Therefore, the difference isn't as huge as stated.
Second, we're not comparing or competing here, we're just having some fun. So what if a LC needs a tug from time to time and that's the fun part of this video, recovery of LC. :)
i totally agree with you about the weak front differential , i have blown 2 of them , but i will add that i do a lot of off-road caravaning and i tow a 2 tons van .
QDII and no more questions ;-)
nice to see the new gc offroad!
I try to take my stock ZG wheelin whenever i can.
Glad I have the same Hemi Engine on my Truck!!!!!
What can you do with that engine when there's no shell because the rust ate it? I have a '95 Toyota, rebuilt the engine 6 years ago but it probably won't survive another year as it's slowly falling apart to bits due to rust. The rust began 9 years after owning it. So about the 30 years thing, good luck!
I don't understand what you're trying to ask. What do you mean with srt8? If it's to do with the rear lights and fog lights, then it is the Limited - export model.
Jeeps are awesome! Is there a vid of the Grand cherokee driving that hill? Also looks like the snatch strap was hooked onto the rear 'tie down' point on the Grand Cherokee...
Never thought id see the day but now that i have im glad
I love this Jeep!!!
Yes, it's QDII.
ما زلت لا أفهم. هل تعتقد أن التصوير كان في السعودية؟
Nice just bought a jeep one week ago can't Waite to play in the mud.....good video
Glad you liked the video. Enjoy your Jeep, they certainly ARE a weapon 😉
exactly. he was smart enough to have someone with a better vehicle with him, so he's smarter than some here in the states.
Congrats on the million views
I'm not in the US, and the export WK's are WH's... so it is a WH and my compliance plate says so too ;)
power does go to all four, the rear left tyre was spinning while the rear right wasnt. if you have locked diffs, you cannot turn on paved surfaces. Example : When you turn left, your wheels on the left turn slower, therefore less rotations, therefore shorter distance. Your wheels on the right hand side have a longer difference to travel, therefore faster and more rotations. This rotational difference allows you to tun smoothly. On dirt you have enough slippage.
It's all about the driver....not the car
I agree. That dimwit brought shame to the legendary LC
I agree. That dimwit brought shame to the legendary LC
it is about the car. the rare wheels didn't even spin.
Toyota Land cruiser Is still a beast
Have you heard of open diffs?

Aussie Four Wheelers Vt
What an awesome video, looks like real fun, pity that Toyota doesn't come standard with lockers. I bet the Jeep got worried there for a bit
You're sure right!
Just get out there and have some fun if you have a second car for recovery. I wouldn't do it on my own if I had road tyres but looks HELLA fun!
I like the Roo Bar on the GC. I wish we had those in the States.
Hey, there's a link in the description that really shows the situation the Jeep had to get out of, wow! Go Jeep!
OMFG.. Someone please buy that Toyota some better tires!!
And a better driver. Lol
Quadra drive best 4 wd ever !
You guessed right, it's Lithgow, NSW, Australia.
Which engine? Petrol I6 with 373 Nm of torque or V8 with 508 Nm? Common sense prevails.
In the US they're WK, over here (export model) they're WH. So yeah, this one is a WH.
That's badass I own a similar WK here in the US if u know anybody there who would trade for WH let me know, hahaha it's a longshot but worth the try,I would love the steering wheel on the right side
Great video 🚗
Thanks again 👍
Aussie Four Wheelers (Hemi4WD) دجدجد
Nicely done !

for the clarification, nah, not Saudi. Aussies here.

This video seriously kicks ass. I love it, that land cruiser is a sexy beast.
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.
Hey bud, the black vehicle is not a LC, it's a Jeep Grand Cherokee... lol. Cheers from Costa Rica.
excellent camera work.
Shukran
Both great vehicles but I'd take a jeep over any other vehicle off road. My jeeps have been bullet proof and take whatever I throw at it.
landcruisers are bullet proof mate

Greetings from Costa Rica.
impressive Jeep Grand Cherokee's performance!! Made in USA!! GO USA!!
Let the HEMI be with you!
jeep is jeep my friends...
Sure is :)
Yep... sure dude. Whatever makes you happy. Calling someone an idiot is not a nice thing. The guys just went out to have fun. Some people just take things too seriously.
Thanks dude.
I'm actually suprize that that thing got stuck in that kind of mud
Yeah that's a terrible combination of sand and mud.
If you dont get stuck, then you are not really playing in the mud. A locking rear differential will help out a good deal. Not too expensive and pretty easy to install.
I was surprised to see the Jeep pull up from that standing position. Did you have it locked?
Yes, factory QD2
Thanks dude, appreciate it.
I'm not trying to defend Jeeps, but Toyota's "quality" hmmm... I know of people who had numerous issues with LC's, Prados, Surfs and Hiluxes from complete engine replacements to engine rebuilds to front diffs... and all that on fairly new vehicles. Their notorious problem for offroading is the front diff, just check with Google and you'll see.
Same as jeep no brand is perfect
why is there only one set of wheels spinning, did you use the central differential lock?
jeep 💪
+ماجد القحطاني Yep, but many are in denial. I forgive them because they know not :)
you guys are funny thinking the land cruiser is better then a grand cherokee V8 off roading grand cherokee with quadra drive will go any were just as long as it dont bottom out land cruiser is great but just to big and heavy and does not have the articulation in the suspension as the grand has why do you think JEEP HAS THE CATCH PHRASE ONLY IN A JEEP PLEASE GUYS WATCH THE VIDEOS ON YOU TUBE AND JEEPS RULE THE OFF ROAD WORLD
LR defender/discovery
Paul Smeets wrangler
Sergio López wrangler/rubicon/cherokee they or good! but sorry no match for a LR
I love jeeps, they are my favorites, and
LR are monsters too, but the wrangler rubicon is the best one (Solid axles, locking differentials, 4.1 low range ratio)
Ok dude sure
I agree ONLYMGAFFY I have a toyota landcruiser 100 series 4.7 v8 I got stuck in the mud but I didn't have the right equipment and all the cars made it with the mud tyres
It's in 4WD, read in other comments below, there was a discussion about it many times. People think that every 4WD vehicle has a locked diff, no, there is an open diff too.
I was explaining open diffs, locked diffs dont allow rotational difference. this means that if you turn on a paved surface with locked diffs, it will want to "wind-up" if you know what i mean. I apologize for the messed up explanation, its rather late this side.
Driver error and wrong tires caused the Toyota to stick up like it did.
At least they went out and had a great time, as it appears.
Guys, where can I buy a cable like the one they used? Just in case. I have a land rover discovery 2. Thanks!
It's in low range but no lockers.
That's because you're watching race cars on the race circuit!
Дивно! Это Видео прекрасно. . Пожалуй, я порекомендую это видео своим друзьям .
+Академия Страхования [Мультифинанс] Большое спасибо. Я рад, что вам понравилось смотреть его.
Is the jeep quadra drive ii?
What found those tires in a ditch somewhere?
Thanks for the great insight!
That's right. It's all about getting out there and having fun. So what if the guys didn't have MT's, doesn't mean they can't enjoy their trucks.
Jeep is Jeep and its respected!!
good tires help and a diff lock.
JEEP es lo MEJOR......
Cool!! Nether one had the right tires this, but the jeep pulled thru.
:) true
What country is it? Is it India, GB, Australia...? I guess its Australia
that land cruiser dont have dif locks so if 1 wheel spins the car wont move, the front wheels got less traction so they slip first, the jeep did not got stuck coz it got inteligent traction control or something like that
the rear wheels are not moving! is it a front wheel drive? strange
Eton E-Lockers on front and back are standard on this model Jeep......OoIIIIIIIoO
And center 😉
@@AussieFourWheelers Its Quadra Drive 2, there is a valve (in the Varilok)to hold the Hydraulic pressure longer.
He didn't need help. He just needed more confidence and momentum.
He took it slow; and, that won't work when you run out of traction.
The Jeep even struggled; but, once he got going he gave that momentum to the Toyota, even when he was losing it.
Road tyres ...fail
What do you mean by "if the guy driving locked the diff"? The LC was in low range but has open diffs, it's a standard setup. It's a different story if the guy spends $4K to install lockers in order to lock the diffs.
Is that Toyota front wheel D? Interesting!
Obviously you don't understand how a 4x4 system works.
that's why jeeps are king
the best drive in the world :)
Jeep is the one that started it all. The US SF use Humvee's not Toyotas. The brits use Toys. Usually it comes down to packages which offers what they want.
differential lock is very useful thing, u know...
fun fun fun whatever you're in 4x4's for the win!!!!
Amen!
Что то странно крузак буксует... Не понятно почему блокировки не включены?
