wonderful! , despite living in West Sussex now I grew up in that part of the world and return every year on my bike..I just love the place, the roads, the people. The ride out to the Sheeps Head is wonderful. ..and as for the Healy Pass! . Thanks for sharing. Steve

+Stephen Eldridge After living and riding bikes on the continent and the UK for the guts of 20 years I don't for a second regret the move back to Ireland and Killarney. I don't even mind the rain lol. It's bikers paradise as far as I'm concerned, you're welcome to pop in for a cupa tea next time your over and we can take spin into the Black Valley for the craic ;)

Thanks for taking the time to explain....I think it's just unrealistic for me to edit/upload from just a smartphone I guess! . Looking forward to your next video. ..and being back in West Cork in the summer. Steve

Yea, life has been getting in the way of my video making lately and it's been a busy summer. Hopefully I'll get a new vid sorted in the next few weeks ;)

Forgot to ask how do your videos still look sharp on TH-cam. .? I record on a Go Pro hero 4 Black and when I review what I've recorded it looks clear and sharp...but once uploaded to You Tube it's lost a lot of quality. I'd really appreciate your advice! Steve

+Stephen Eldridge Hi Stephan. There can be many reasons for a videos quality becoming poor when uploading onto YT. It does not always work out for me either. First you have to consider that during the upload process YT reencodes the video and sound and compresses it to save space on their servers and make playback over internet quicker for those with slower connections. Basically YT dumps some of the info within the video essentially making it lower quality. For this reason it's important to get the encoding settings in post processing software correct to make the video YT friendly. I use Sony Vegas Pro for processing/editing my vids and rendering them in a way to get the best result for them after they have been "readjusted" by YT during the upload process. If you'd like to get really good at uploading vids with Sony Vegas there are plenty of good tutorials here on TH-cam to help you. Sony Vegas is a really good and relatively inexpensive video processing software used by pros and amatures alike. Another tip wold be to make sure your origional source video is the best quality to begin with, i.e. make sure the camrea setting are set to at least 30fps at 1080p. However this makes a much bigger file size but it's best to have a high quality file to wrk with. Unfortuntely you will then need a really good computer to process the footage in Vegas or simular. If this is an issue you will still get good results shooting at 28fps at 720p then use Vegas or simular to make it YT friendly for upload. Most of my vids are shot at 28fps/720p, although people are now getting used to better quality which will eventually force me to upgrade my computer and shoot at 60fps/1080p = HD. Sorry for the long winded explination to your question but it's not necessarily a straight forward simple answer to it as there is a fair bit to consider..
