The problem is, the anime/manga is ridiculously underrated. Since the production studios decide depending on the ratings of views, or merchandise sold, we are in, pardon the expression, dipshit, if the japanese audience isn't fond of the series. Such is the reality.

Minato D Roger Yeah. Lian Po in all actuality didn't have as much power or influence as the manga/anime is suggesting. He was forced to allow some upstart to take command of the Zhao forces, which is what led to their defeat, surrender, and the burial of 400000 live Zhao citizens and soldiers (this should sound familiar) at Chouhei. This, and the new Zhao king's dislike of him and ordering him to commit suicide (as he was very vocal about how unworthy the new Zhao king was to serve, and how he wasn't as competent as his father) is what ultimately led to his defection to Wei in the actual history books after he won a battle against Qi. It took place after a decent amount of time after Chohei when that king ascended to the throne, as the previous king wouldn't allow himself to lose such a powerful and revered general, because he's not an idiot like his son was. Zhao never recovered from their massive population loss, land loss (this is one of the reasons Qin was so large at the beginning of the story), or loss of their best general and ceased being a major player in the warring states period at that point. Li Mu (Riboku) was a great general when it came to hiding and defensive tactics, but he ultimately only ever managed to fend off the northern Xiongnu tribe and stall Qin's conquest for a few years. If he had the capability of fighting Wang Jian (Ou Sen, Ou Hon's father) in a fair fight with even resources, he might have been able to win, or at least prevent the destruction of Zhao. But, despite preventing invasions being Li Mu's specialty, Qin's military power was too great. The smaller states of Han and Wei couldn't offer Zhao assistance, and Qi and Chu would rather see Zhao fall than expend their resources helping them. This led to the eventual fall of all of the other 6 states. Zhao's influence and power in the manga is drawn up quite a bit for obvious, theatrical purposes. Lian Po's glory days were the actual last time Zhao stood a fighting chance against anything, and that would be nice to see from the author's standpoint. But it would ultimately lead to the mass-murder of all of those Zhao citizens at Chouhei, so it wouldn't be a happy ending. Especially considering Bai Qi (Haku Qi, leader of the Qin 6 generals) was a stronger general than Lian Po, and was the one who ultimately crippled Zhao beyond reparation. Lian Po's interactions with Bai Qi were always incredibly defensive. He knew he couldn't fight Qin's invasion force in a head-on conflict, and I think that if they told it with historical accuracy, it wouldn't be that interesting.

There! little cao cao stands in the middle of his army full of testosterone pumped men with long eyelashes. does that sound any good to you?

Tbh i was laughing at the first episode where there were bad 3d animations but i kinda regreted that cause this story made me cry and it will keep me crying until i finish it. I think i underestimated this anime and got my mind blown lmao

I don't get whats so bad about 3d to Me it makes the large war scale battles better because they would have to animate every single person and then the animation wouldn't be as good

To bad the author ignores haku ki too much. He is a house hold name in China. Because how terrifyingly powerful he was. He also wasn’t a complete scum bag. He actually do believe, killing all these zhao people were too cruel. He always carry this guilt with him ever since. He did it, believing this is ultimately beneficial for qin. Too bad he was killed by his own country for political reason. Otherwise no one in the entire kingdom, could ever beat him.

Luckily, I didn't have anything else to watch so I was basically forced to go back to it and actually give it a shot, and trust me, this show is probably my all time favorite anime. The 1st season sort of flips back and forth with the 2d/3d. I'd say that 80% is 2D, and the rest is 3D. Season 2 is a lot more 2D. Honestly though, I'm actually considering buying the manga for this cause I absolutely need more. I binge watched it.

No no no no no. The studio who animated Kingdom is Pierrot, the guys who will just halt the project forever and only animate Naruto. They never even cared to give Kingdom a season 2 and are now only doing stuff like Naruto and Tokyo Ghoul
