@@Pulse2AM I do that too. My back swing is a bit slower than his and I take my driver back a tiny bit further than he does will his but my irons I bring back nearly identical to how much he does. Maybe a could get a tiny bit more distance if I took a bigger backswing but still hit it the furthest on my golf team back in high school and the more compact the swing, the less time the club has to shift position and thus its easier to hit the ball more accurately and strike the ball more consistently. This is like the opposite of John Daly's swing, haha.

I kinda had the same thought….it looked like a pretty standard round of weekend golf to me as well. Decent drive down the fairway, a few missed drives, lots of wayward shots into the bunkers, lots of missed putts, and a few lucky putts that dropped at the right moment. I didnt see a lot of “magic moments”.
I know you’re probably kidding, but remember he had 5 birdies that last round and 1 bogey. He also won the US Open (at an extremely difficult course) and made really clutch putts that if he missed one would have put him in a playoff instead of the outright win. And unless I’m mistaken, he also made the cut in every major tournament in his career. He’s also only 26 and has 14 professional wins (including other tours to be fair). He is a great player man, you can’t take that away from him.
I'm so glad Jon won. After what happened to him at the Memorial Tournament, he deserved this.
