Haters. You can do any of this in the game! Hang with rope darts, assassinate from hiding spots, running through buildings, call assassins, etc. This was a great game, and if you guys can't see this, you're just hating. I've played every AC game and this is definently my favorite!
Also the animations in this game were incredible. I think they fixed everything wrong with this game in Black Flag.

I hate it that in the AC games they say like for example "Make a distraction" like with a bow. But in the actual game you can't do that because it's programmed so if you see the guard they see you. And that sucks because that makes the bow completely useless except in hunting.
You're certainly right about the frame rate, I mean I think all versions of this game on all systems had very bad frame rate in the cities especially when you run away from soldiers chasing you. In this, it's showing the PS3 version of the game being played, and showing running away from soldiers, and it's smooth as hell!?!?! They need to fix this, that would be a very good fix.

No matter what everyone says all assassin's creed games are excellent except unity due to its glitches and graphical errors. It was incomplete. It could have been one of the best assassin's creed games.

I think mainly because of the glitches, and connor. AC3 was the glitchiest AC release before Unity, and the way connor speak is so monotone, and distant, making it difficult for you to relate.
Michael Panggabean I don't know, but I've never ran into any glitches through the entire game. And I don't think that glitches were that problematic, otherwise nobody would've spent 10 hours with skyrim for example. I do think that the main two reasons were first that people was so attached with Ezio that it was difficult for them to acclimate with the new protagonist, and second it introduced new techniques and relatively radical changes to the gameplay and that didn't go well with the gamers who were kinda used to the gameplay for already 5 games now, so change was not very welcomed.

2:16 This is why I hate demos, they always show neat little things (like Connor covering his face) that never make it into the game. You see its shit like that immerses the player, sure it wouldn't be realistic because in real life it would actually draw more attention but it looks cool and games like this aren't meant to be realistic, they're meant to look badass. I really like the ambition of Creed III, just a shame they couldn't pull it off. It seems that now they're too afraid to introduce some of the really cool features from this game because of how it completely failed, but Creed III and maybe Black Flag are the only Creed games I've played with truly mixed and contextual combat.
I miss AC 3 gameplay. I personally like AC 3 than ac2.

The animation looks more realistic here than the final game, also the social stealth looked to have more depth e.g. The way he holds a hand up to his face.

Ac 3 is my favourite ac game regardless of what people think. I remember the anticipation when I saw this gameplay for the first time, the animations in this game are so good and the atmosphere is just magical, music- the best. It is saying something when I have odyssey and coming back to connor. I play this every winter. Pleasu ubisoft...give me more parkour animations in next AC game

Βαγγέλης Τσακίρης enemies will detect you if you kill someone else with a bow while they are within sight range of you (if they could see if they turn to look at you). Now you know how to use the bow for stealth.
I think the only thing that wasnt actually in the game was the way that lady approached you to start the mission. Other than that, its all there, its just the dude is over exaggerating how some of this stuff actual works or affects the gameplay.
You cant counter attack an enemy without the "slow mo" being on. So, thats another one.

In my opinion this is the best AC game I've ever played so far. The story kinda sucks, but let's face it, the navigation is pretty aweosome and the combat as well. I love the way Connor runs and the way he jumps, it looks so realistic. Also doing parkour on the frontier and sneaking in to the forts was so fun! The way Connor blends and make's assasinations well... everything!
On the other hand AC IV was a shame...

Besides some cheesy story moments, this in my opinion is the best game in the series. The combat was awesome. Even though it's button mashing you could still change your weapons during a fight to keep things interesting. They even did something which thought was awesome which was the environment kills. I remember killing someone with a bucket once. They had the notorious system. Desmond was still alive. Then they threw it all away and stripped to what it is now. Also something else that urks me now is that nothing holds any ground in reality anymore. Yeah I know we are talking about a fictional video game but having my character's cane sword appear and disappear when she's fighting just sucks me out of the world they are trying to convey. SAme goes for fucking invisible cloaks, I'm looking at you evie.

5:00 WTF was that move on the ship. he stabbed one guy and then shot the other. Then he ran up to the other guy and pushed him off. The second you stepped on that ship, every guard in the bloody city would have known your location right there.

+Shay Cormac My only question in Assassin's Creed III is that how do you recruit new members in this game because I know in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Revelations that you can recruit new Assassin Members easily but in this game how do you recruit some teammates and new Assassin members based on what this gameplay footage showed. It kind of bothers me because when I first got this game and I saw that you can recruit some Assassins and have them disguise as guards and pretend that Connor has been captured by the Templars so you can infiltrate areas that are restricted easily. How do you recruit some Assassin's In this game because I never knew how to do that yet in this game.

I don't understand how such an amazing concept can get so fucked up. Don't get me wrong this wasn't the worst game, but god damn was it hugely disappointing. The side missions were shit and practically nonexistent, the collectibles were shit and a waste of time, and despite all of the side activities they put in the game there just seemed like nothing to do in the world they built because they were all incredibly boring and just plain stupid. Also, the story was complete shit as well. Despite being set during the AMERICAN REVOLUTION there was practically no elements of the revolution AT ALL except a few failed set pieces that were completely anti climatic. What happened to all of the promised large scale battles like in the finale of the great movie The Patriot? Or fighting for freedom against an oppressor? What happened to the RISE concept from all of the trailers? I never felt like I was sparking a revolution. Instead all I felt like was a bounty hunter since Connor never stopped bitching about Charles Fucking Lee throughout the entire god damn game. In my opinion Ubisoft missed an AMAZING opportunity to tell a riveting story of revolution and fighting for freedom. It's the AMERICAN REVOLUTION. How do you fuck that up? Hopefully Assassin's Creed Unity will have that concept of fighting for freedom that this game sorely missed. A terrible, terrible disappointment. I wouldn't give this game higher than a 6/10.
They had side missions, they were the liberation missions. Once you did all the them in an area you got to talk to someone, and do a mission with them. After that they became "assassin recruits." Each one had a special ability they could do and had an interactive conversation with them. The reason I put quotations on assassin recruits was because they never had assassin robes even when they got to the highest rank which was an assassin. That being said they more felt like allies instead of assassins in your brotherhood.
They also had the naval missions which were a lot of fun. You got to upgrade the Aquila all the way, and even got a Templar to kill if you did them all. Lastly for side missions, there were the frontier ones which were ehh, but the homestead ones weren't too bad. You got to make and watch a community grow which was cool.
Connor had reason to be hasty, he had his village and mother killed by settlers. So you really think he's gonna be so happy with them?? He didn't really want to become an assassin either; he did it because of what Juno showed him. If you did the homestead missions he's actually really nice. Ubisoft just did a terrible job showing people that and explain why he was acting that way.
With the collectibles, I agree with you except for the peg leg trinkets. They were easy to get if you just bought a map. While getting them you got to do these really cool missions for getting parts of the map. When you ended up getting the treasure, you had a first civilization ring that would deflect bullets from you. Which made you "bullet proof." The page ones were pretty stupid and you didn't really get anything for it.

The collectible were shit but, the side missions were amazing. Specially the Homestead missions. Although I do agree with MOST of what you said.
I do agree with you that they did a bad job showing a revolution. The first time I played it I kept thinking, "okay it's going to start up anytime soon." If they could have pulled that off, the game would have been MUCH better.

ac3 combat was by far the best in my opinion. however only having New York and Boston as cities was a disappointment, it could've had more. I feel like I black gal came out before this and this game came out... it could've been the best assassins creed. I also loved the tomahawk. greatest assassin weapon

There was no stealth in this what so ever and it was buggy and when you shot a arrow and a deer or a person it just bounce off of them and there was no bucks in this game. When you run on the building there is like a million soldiers on one roof who shoot you through walls

This was the best AC GAME ever ! When you can think outside the box, the game wants to tell us something. It offers us secret messages about the Illuminati. but you guys are just running after games with action, fun, stupid mainstream story and thats it.
this is one of the most epic games ever and I don´t understand those people who say, connor is arrogant or you can´t feel the character or even boring character. it shows us one thing, the fucking media has destroyed the most of us. AC BLack Flag is so much shit against AC 3. AC 4 is a nice game although, but it has no epicness, just pure action like in a boring holywood movie. AC Unity gives me some hope, because Black Flag was pure mainstream shit, but still nice to play.
2012 was the last year of good games, don´t expect anything guys, it´s over. they are all selling us DLCs and half produced games. No love, no fun in it. After PS4 I´m out.

I don't know why everybody has such a big issue with this game. I enjoyed it, a part from the ending seeming incredibly rushed, I think it's solid. AC IV > AC 3 > AC 2 (simply because the only thing that keeps me playing this game nowadays is nostalgia, the gameplay itself feels so dated and although the story is beautiful, it's obviously not new to me anymore) > AC Brotherhood > AC Revelations > AC. IMO.

Also why is it a tradition in ac games that the trailers always differ SO MUCH from what is actually in the game? oO

You may have noticed that its not a mission, no mission markers anywhere on the map.
Many people disliked AC3 but now everyone is fawning over AC3 now since its getting a remaster, sigh.
