- Will Illuvium kick off a crypto gaming bull run? Illuvium is widely considered to be crypto's first ever AAA game. It's been in development since 2020 and finally is releasing to the Epic game store this week.

Do your own research always! I'm a normal guy who makes mistakes and has made plenty so far during this journey. So choosing to blindly copy what I'm doing isn't going to lead you to just making a ton of money. I've had investments where I've lost EVERYTHING. I don't just say do your own research as a legal covering but because you really need to do your own research and make your own call. If you don't understand what you're investing in you can lose A LOT of money! Especially in crypto which is super super risky. A lot of the projects I like to jump in are really small crypto projects which make them even more insane risky. Past performance doesn't mean the project will do the same thing in the future, no one can predict the future and what will happen next. I'm pretty passionate about this, I am by no means a professional investor. I'm on my journey to a million dollars, I don't even have the experience to have made a million dollars. All this is to share my journey because I believe there is value in watching me both succeed and fail. It's my story I'm sharing with all of you, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH and don't just blindly copy me😄

I've been holding 20% of my portfolio in ILV for the past two years and I rode the token price all the way up to $1,500 and all the way down to $30 and now I'm finally in the green again. Long term investment for me!

One thing to note is the 28th is not the launch. Its just another beta build, this is just the first one anyone can try! The full gameplay loop goes into open beta early next year

But, it is the first PvP beta which is huge. In my opinion PvP is the main game. IZ is just IZ and overworld is the "go to the shop and buy a pack"

I think we need to have a crypto economy introduced into a real game that’s all we need. We don’t need games that are okay to earn if we can just be part of the economy.
Imagine GTA online but with a token and NFT pink slips and property deeds including businesses. I’d never come back to normal life. Haha.
Games where they are free to play but you can spend money to get money and that’s it. The rest you buy with the in game cash. Literally Take 2s model with NFTs added so we can have some investment.

Illuvium has crazy potential. Another game I know with that kind of potential is Sinverse
Crypto gaming WILL be the largest narrative amongst emerging technologies and solutions on the blockchain.
Projects like Sinverse are already shaping how an economy can run self-propelled with its Game; Sinversee Mafia Metaverse
i dont like how to the mc is only 3x away from 21s ath but the price is still 16x away
Token unlocks have heavily inflated supply since ATH.
My problem with crypto gaming is lack of quality games but With projects like Sinverse with a solid game shows that crypto gaming is not dead in terms of game quality and p2e
I do have this shortlist of high-potential gaming tokens in prep for next bull run,the list contains top potential tokens like $sin...it might be time to add illuvium to this shortlist afterall

@@jesseeckel2 I like that they have bi-weekly town halls and are good at keeping the community updated. I also like that their income is based on micro transactions like a normal gaming app. Seems like the crypto aspect just allows you to cut the line. But I hadn't bought a token that wasn't available on coinbase before. Since my last comment though I've decided to dip my toes in using uniswap.
@@jesseeckel2 at the time I posted this I hadn't used uniswap before so I that felt like a barrier. But since then I got some. I liked their announcement about playable big name NFT IPs. Plus their booster packs for their card game sold out in just a few seconds. Reminded me of the original Pokemon booster boxes.
@@jesseeckel2 I feel like TH-cam keeps deleting my comment or something. But yeah, so far I like what I've seen. Their announcement this past week about using popular NFT IPs as playable characters (think super smash bros but with popular NFT personalities) seemed interesting. Plus their physical booster sets for their card game sold out in just a few seconds.

I didn’t get $1 million from OHM. I made like $15k if I remember right. I lost money on Time, and Rome. I ended up hitting overall though $1.6 million at the absolute top. Didn’t time it perfect and made some mistakes along the way. But did hold on to about $800k, have since taken that back well above a million during the bear market.

Wondering why you went for a 43 billion dollar market cap - I think that's like 3-4x the biggest publicly traded gaming market cap. Is that a rationalised number or just a number.

LOL lets be honest , no matter how good the graphics or gameplay the play to "EARN" mechanics is the driving force of Crypto Gaming, like the AXIE , even the gameplay is shit lots of players play it and eventually kicks off the bullmarket.
I disagree, I don’t think play to earn is why most games will succeed. Digital collectibles and player owned assets is why I think crypto gaming will succeed.

I've been following your content for a while, but I disagree on the GameFi. I actually made a video giving a different perspective, even though I'm not a youtube and not plan to be. Can you make a video addressing FUD factors?

@@jesseeckel2 The probability of any game suviving over the long term is quite low. Even if we consider the possibility, the persistent challenge of dealing with cheaters and bots is real, even major gaming platforms struggle with this. The underlying issue lies here, because even though this is a problem with every game, usually banning the accounts is enough. Here it isn't. Once the transaction is made to the wallet, you can't undo it, this basically takes all the risks of using bots or even cheating because you have nothing to lose. This will trigger hyperinflation within the token and NFT ecosystem, ultimately diminishing their worth to practically nothing. And is even worst in ecosystems with various games, because it just has to happen to one of them, to destroy the entire ecosystem.

@@jesseeckel2 as a developer I have developed over 200 games 8 were hits and around 150-200m people are playing them even thou i have invested in Illuviun long time a go something is off in everything i have seen so far.. You know hype about diablo 4 was huge but 30 days later game had 1000 players from 5 million inital players even with all knowledge they failed. Iluvium looks very strange when I look at it and its far from what gamers want but i be wrong. I have played games for 33 years now so kinda have a feeling :)

I've been holding my ILV for months already. But full transparency bought it a little too high and it was underwater until recently. If you watched the video though my take was if there was a pullback I'd buy more, however currently not sure given the price rise and the upcoming release.

Crypto games and be the best game of all time. But they will print tokens using inflation causing the price to crash over time. It’s not an investment. It’s like getting free stuff with advertisements on it. You get something from playing, but isn’t worth much. Bad tokonomics
To be clear this isn't how ILV tokens work, they're capped but simply vested with unlocks. The tokens accrue 100% of the revenue from the game. I think the tokenomics for ILV are actually pretty good.

Crypto adds nothing to gaming. I'm bullish in crypto and in games, but not on both together.
Watch the video all the way through, I think it'll change your mind on that front. If you're wrong you could miss out on one of the biggest narratives this next cycle because you didn't take the time to understand it. If I'm wrong you'll waste a little time. I think crypto gaming is going to be huge this next cycle, I've put a lot of research into it and I'm not the only one. Again this video lays out the facts pretty good.
Sure but that's how innovation cycles always go. First movers are the ones willing to put out a half baked product fast typically and the sector grows over time. The first crypto tokens besides BTC were horrible. Then slowly we got things that were useful and innovative.
Again if you don't agree after watching the video, then thats fine, but it's worth hearing it out. I personally think there's no way it crypto gaming doesn't take off.
@@jesseeckel2 it's simply because in the end the game company will always have control over the assets. If the asset was obtained due to game hacking or botting, the publisher will be able to blacklist it in the game. Even if you sell it in a nft marketplace, it won't work anymore inside the game. So the whole crypto "your nfts your property" thing doesn't apply here.

id recommend posting other videos, most of the projects you have showcase on your channel here have failed miserbly resulting in many of your followers and subscribers lose money, in alot of cases you profit. its pretty messed up, and im curious how you justify it in your head. cheers
What are you even talking about? Lots of the projects I've talked about this cycle are already up 50%, 100%, 200% or more. Every single project I'm talking about I'm planning on holding till the bull run, so haven't sold. Ethereum was where I put 90% of my wealth at the bottom of the market and it's up over 100%. I genuinely am confused by this comment and what you mean.
If you're talking about last cycle, again most of the projects I invested into went up a lot! Some as high as 10,000% and anyone watching had an opportunity to get into them and take their profits. Now if you didn't sell before the market crashed, and ran them down all the way to the bottom, then yes you lost a lot of money. However as I say on my channel all the time, don't copy me and do your own research. I'm not anyones financial advisor, and don't want to be. I can't tell you how to manage your investments or even what to buy. I just share what I'm buying, why and the research I'm doing. Most people find that really valuable because it's a great place to learn. I get messages from people all the time that made a fortune on some of those same plays. I myself last cycle personally sold most of those positions at a gain, was public when I sold and anyone else had the opportunity to do the same.
If you lost money investing last cycle because you didn't quite know what you were doing, that sucks and I've been there. That's what I did my first cycle in 2017. However the next cycle I came back and made it all back, plus a lot more. I hope you do the same and good luck!

I go back and forth on this. I've been thinking there was no way we'd see a soft landing, then it appears we do. However the fact that everyone is now saying no recession makes me nervous. Honestly gotta play it as if there will be, and I still feel pretty confident with crypto overall 2024-2025
