Jumper is an A+++ love it! I think you may like Ordinary Human Failings but I found it so different to what the blurbs for it promise. It's super intriguing though. I can't wait to get to Enter Ghost, it may be the next one I start! Oooooh Breakdown sounds fascinating too. Adding that to my list!
Ah thank you, lovely! It's one of my faves 😄 Ooh, that's interesting about Ordinary Human Failings. It's just come through from the library, so I will be reading it next! Hope you enjoy Breakdown if you get around to it 😊
I'm reading a few from the lists too. Wifedom was excellent, I read it last year and it was one of my top reads. Brotherless Night is my favourite of the fiction so far. It just goes to show how diverse the lists are because I've only read Western Lane from your list but there's a few from the fiction list that you mentioned that I hope to get to soon. Happy Reading
As a nonfiction reader, I am super excited about the new prize. I plan to read 13 books, including the entire shortlist, before the winner is announced. There are nine on the fiction list that interests me, and I'll get to those sometime this year.
This is a super helpful video - I've been wanting to get into reading more from the women's prizes so this has given me a good place to start, thank you!
I was thinking about the Women's Prize just yesterday and wondered when your video will arrive because I was sure it will. What a coincidence! Love your hair btw 😍I usually don't have a chance to ready anything from the list since I wait for it to be translated first which possibly will never happen for some of these books. They sound so good though
Oh that's so funny! Thank you for thinking of me 😄 Yes, I see what you mean about them being translated. Perhaps there's some virtue there - you'll get to see which ones are being received the most positively before diving in!
I feel the same was as you about Fitzcarraldo editions 😂 I was excited at the prospect of the non-fiction prize, but I don’t feel excited enough by anything to rush out and read them. The Flat Place and Eve stood out the most for me, so maybe in the future. As for the fiction prize, I just have too much fiction to read already to allow myself to look too closely at it 🫣🤣 enjoyed hearing your thoughts! 😄
Fitzcarraldo's quality is always there! I hear you, on the non-fiction prize. And I know what you mean about the fiction, as well. There's so many exciting things I'm wanting to read at the moment - frankly a lot that are more exciting than the longlist 🫣

I love the woman's prize! I'm excited to read Western Lane (I've never read a book about squash before haha) 😊
Yay! I have also never read a book about squash 🤣 Fingers crossed we both love it!
