I also love reading the Bible in lots of languages I don’t know much about! It’s mainly possible because I already know the story really well, so understanding it in other languages is much easier. The NT becomes sort of a Rosetta Stone, where knowing it in one language makes it possible to learn it in others. If you had a romance language in school (like spanish, French, or Italian, and maybe learned some Greek later on, it’s not that big a jump to start adding others!
