This is really interesting to me, because Guile's theme ALREADY sounds very sad to me in its base form. In fact, a few others in Street Fighter feel the same way, like Ryu and Balrog's themes - though no one else ever seems to know what I mean by that.
I think this is good for edit work on my IG. As Guile's enthusiast, I'll make like he's accompanying me while I'm on my grandpa's funeral. Seriously, this is deep enough.
After having listened to this cover I feel I would have been total awsome if you re-imagined the whole SF II soundtrack, and then convince Capcom to re-release the game on a new anniversary edition on SNES. Of course that can't be done due to the limitations of the sound chip on the SNES, but one can still dream. Though it would totaly work on a digital edition. Anyhow. You identified the small melancholy vibe on Guiles track and then added like melancholy x 100, and manage to stirr up some pretty bittersweet emotions from me.
