@@FrostbiteRam in terms of performance I'm not sure plastic is any worse than metal unless we're talking major boost and looks department. I am interested in folks experience going from a 6.4 truck manifold to the Holley.
@@FrostbiteRam I'm trying to make a decision and the price of the Holley is very enticing considering the 6.4 truck manifolds are like gold hens teeth. So in order to run a catch the inlet hose would come off the barb from the bottom base where you have your filter and the outlet hose coming off the catch can runs to the back of the intake correct? In the instructions it says to use a pcv valve still is that still needed?
That is one way yes with a pcv. Or run both manifold vents to the can and vent to atmosphere that's what I will be doing with Frostbite soon video on the way.
How did you go about deleting the egr? I have a ram 3500 with a 6.4 hemi and i am doing a mild build for it for some extra hp and torque being that its a work truck
Great video. So with the 6.4 intake swap you have to get an adapter for wiring or extend it yourself. Not needed with this one? Holley mentions may need hood mods but clearly doesn't look to be the case. Do you feel n/a would benefit more with this one or the 6.4? I saw on this one its best at like 7k rpms. Just curious if you know the difference between the two.
Jason I have a sp challenger 440 stroker, running this intake. I also have NX spray plate sandwiched between upper and lower lid. Had to cut my windshield wiper cowl frame about 1/2” across an 6-8” section in the middle to fit upper lid to slide back into plate and just as reference. It clears under the Anderson composites demon cowl hood (4” cowl). With the oem style hood. The hood doesn’t even shut enough to latch first click. It’s also extremely tight from throttlebody down for piping. Many have to cut into the radiator support. Hope info helps
hello, i love what you are doing with your truck first off. 2nd, i have a quest5ion/problem that you may be able to help me with. i just finished up installing this exact intake on my 2016 ram Rebel. i took the IRC off the stock manifold and plugged it in thinking i could avoid the engine light until i could delete it in the computer. however and im not sure it has anything to do with it, but i now have the dreaded Electronic throttle control /electronic brake control light on and no throttle response. i also installed a pro charger, unlocked computer with custom tune over a year age with no issues.did you happen to have any issues like that as soon as you started either truck up? Thank you in advance.
@@FrostbiteRam wow man so do I would you help me with some installs on my 18 ram I’m trying to find a 6.4 manifold but need some help to install broke my ankle couple months ago back and I don’t really know any good mechanics to install it
What throttle body are you running with it ? Was thinking about the hellcat oversized TB and make a custom plate to match up with the Holley. What's the size on the Holley inlet ?
Thanks for the awesome support mopar fam videos will be back on schedule weekly stay tuned also link to all parts is in the video description. 🙏💪🍻🔧
Why did u removed the wheel wells and hood insulation if I may ask ?
Will this work for 03, dodge ram 2500 5.7?
Just ordered the black one for my 5.7 based 392 stroker. Thanks for the part numbers.
Awesome
Thanks for this video. I was about to order a 6.4 intake manifold, but this video has me thinking 🤔
Go for it!

i did 3 of your mods WOW thank you
This is awesome, because I've hated the plastic intake for all my hemi trucks, especially my 19 5th gen

Lotta good information there
I’m thinking about doing away with my 6.4 and going that route

How much hp/torque & other benefits did this add

It will fit however the hood will be a issue not enough clearance on the cars with factory hoods you will need a big cowl hood most likely.
Sure you get top end gains, but unless you are running boost the 5.7 or 6.4 truck intakes are the best for trucks.

What size fitting was used for the plug on the hi ram for beside the screw cap, and on hole between cylinder 6 and 8 on passenger side?
The kit comes with the plugs atleast mine did. Not sure the size at the moment
