This is a surplus Field Kitchen Set that was issued at the Platoon Level I have read. They were made likely in the 1950s or 60s. The bags are fragile now because of age so you might want to replace it for long term use in the field.
You might want to add a set of oven mitts for handling the pots around fires.
Use your gloves.
@@SecurityGuy42 If you have a decent pair of leather work gloves, those will work fine. I keep a pair in my camping kit for working around the fire.
As a cook, the one thing I struggle with is serving. NEVER let them serve themselves.

As a combat cook, my goal is to prep you for maximum productivity!
Command: mobilization to combat troops are first in line. prior to every meal drink 1 cup water, eat sweets second, third eat your bodyweight measured to grams of protein. 209lb man consume 209grams protein, complex Starchs and fiber, End with cup of milk. Personal delta favorite, water, banana, rice, eggs, milk!
Preppers...get 4lbs dried bananas/ person per month.
Video idea for you. What to buy/acquire to outfit a field kitchen for operations for a basic 2 week time frame. I am the guy that is always nominated to be the cook for everything so i would be interested in your take on what types of food items, spices, drinks and cookware that you would take if you would be assigned to field kitchen duty on deployment.
