Glad to see Rado get some recognition. After seeing this, I have to admit, I did check out some of their vintage pieces. I’d have to say kudos to Rado for getting in touch with you and do a bit of marketing within the TH-cam community.
I Love RADO Watches! Gorgeous, Elegant, durable, Comfortable Time Pieces that are so well made they can be worn for a lifetime and passed down to the next generation! My son and Daughter in law are into Apple Watches. Yes I like Apple, but when you put on a RADO.... nothing left to say. Awesome Time Pieces!!
It’s really worth it. Go for it. I still try to get use to the bling of this watch though. It’s super shinny so make sure it’s your taste. Works really nice on perlon strap too for more toned down look.
I have the Rado Ceramic Sintra Chronometer all glossy black with gold hands and markers. A great watch that’s also very accurate for an automatic. Rado is one of my favorite wristwatch brands and I always have at least one in my collection.
I absolutely love Rado. Always have, ever since I was a wee lad. My Father wore one. I sort of like how they fly under the radar, but it would be good if more commentators focused on them. Nice work Bruce.
Such a stunning watch! I would definitely consider this as a Datejust alternative. I agree that there should be minute indices though for easy setting of the time and a screwdown crown.
Wow another Rado. Loving the channel. Best wishes from Texas. Can’t wait to buy one Asap. Childhood memories about this brand. Rado Just adds the fancy touch to all their models. They look money. I have a Capt Cook MK2 with the beads of rice bracelet. The lack of microadjust is my one complaint; I'm between sizes. If they included a half link, I'd be set.
Nice review. Waiting for my green golden horse. It's nearly a month already! And I think 50m wr is more than enough with this dress watch. Watches collector tent to have multiple watch, including dive watch so complain about not having better wr than 30m in a dress watch isn't fair.
I had that bias a couple years back with Seiko5 37-38mm just because of the 5 despite being the size my wrist required. Once I accepted this my choice was simple and I bought all the seiko5 watches I liked. Settled on 10 + the legendary SKX007. So happy u then bought a second set to have backups😁 .. all these watches for a bit over 2k✔️
@@Ten.to.one.handmade cool.. it still slightly bugs me because all I wear are seiko and casio. The other thing I notice about the 5 is it's background is white.. makes it stick out like a sore thumb taking away from the beautifully applied Seiko logo in silver. But yeah still love these little things so much!! Just day No to Batteries kids😁
I don't understand the clasp. Why can't it have micro adjust holes? How is the bracelet connected to the clasp? Surely it must use holes drilled in the clasp? Why not drill a few more holes? How would more holes make the clasp bigger? Thanks for any explanation ☺
@@barrettmccann the seahorse was not put on there to signal “aquatic watch”, according to the VP of Rado they were used to possibly attract the Chinese market. If you want a small diver look for a skindiver perhaps? And 50m of WR is quite enough, you could even go snorkeling if you wished! :)
Lots to like here. Thanks to the domed crystal and fumé dial, it looks pie pan which is a great look along with the bent tip seconds hand. I completely agree with your stated short comings. I also feel the seconds hand could have a more sculpted, three-dimensional look. It's clearly stamped (unless my eyes deceive me) and for $1,800 the second hand could do better.
Wish you'd stop showing all these gorgeous watches, I'm not made of money. I did buy the captain cook in green, and it's a fantastic watch. Rado do make some great watches and deserve to be better known, because they have a proud history using different materials in their watches.

You, Rob and myself, have the same wrist size, watch both of you because I get a good idea on how the watch would fit. I do have wear a Captain Cook in a larger size, they had a special at the AD from Rado and got an included extra band. It's in rotation. Nice your getting corporate loans for reviews. Adrian from Bark and Jack said they never ask for conditions, nor a preview before release, just be honest. Hope you get more. Maybe Rado is trying to increase it's US presence? If you hold the watch head, and let the bracelet drops naturally, the lugs will protrude a bit (i think), since the end link doesn't reach the end of the lug. For the smaller wrist size, those protruding lugs would be prone to bumps. Though it'd still hug the wrist fine, given the BOR bracelet. My 2cents, awesome review nonetheless. 🎉🎉
I really like this watch. I have the black “record” dial version of it. I highly recommend it on the great perlon strap for the more toned down look as the bracelet is way too shiny for my liking. The only downside to me would be a 19mm strap with. 20mm gives a much wider choice and this watch can really take those straps superbly. WR of only 50m could be indeed 100m. Nice video.
After owning it for a bit, how do you like this watch and the black dial in particular? I’m leaning towards grabbing the black dial variation and just trying to get some helpful feedback. Thanks!
Really nice watch. It can be a very dressy watch or somewhat more of a sports watch. A very versatile look. The lack of minute markers adds to the "dressiness" vibe. The lack of adjustment holes on the clasp can be problematic for finding a good fit, though. I wonder if the watch includes half-links as well? That would be good to "dial-in" a good bracelet fit.
