Gonna drop this here as a 76 veteran, if you equip the Chem fiends perk and max it. Your chems last longer and this even includes healing over time items like Stims. I usually carry 1,000+ dilute Stims since because of this. It basically makes dilutes the equivalent of regular Stims.

You don't need to spend money on repair kits there's daily stuff for a reason you get atomics from them etc meaning you can get the repair kits for free.
@@vlatepes1901I’ve got hundreds of both Repair Kits and Scrap Kits across five characters, and never paid for a single one. I’ve been exclusively using Repair Kits instead of scrap for about a year and it feels like I’ve barely made a dent in my supply.
what about when in a fight and your main weapon breaks, Gatling Plasma in my case with the slowed gun durability loss perk equipped. I've had this happen enough in scorch beasts fights with 2 or more. To use the weapons terminal if one is near by you cannot be in PA, so you to hope 1/ you are carrying enough junk to repair 2/ plus stay alive in normal armour when you exit your PA to repair it when a quick weapon inspect and use of a atom repair case and back into the fight

If you are a gun user and and often find that your weapon breaks easily than have no fear, the forceful stock modification is just right for you. For some ungodly reason that thing makes your gun break 10 times slower. I have no idea what it is made of but ill take it if it means i don't have to go as often to the repair bench. Maybe this tip will help some people.

FYI for repair kits, Boss fights drop these to you for free. I recommend perk "Weapon Artisan Level 3" when doing bench repairs for 200% condition.

Legit , I do everything in this game just to make my camp look pretty
one thing people keep forgeting to mention, when you want to fast travel there is a few locations that allows you to do it with no caps (for free) cost like Vault 76, Whitespring, The Crater, etc. Then from there you can fast travel to somewhere nearby you want to go. That way you save a few caps. Takes more of your time and more loading, true but if want to save the money thats a nice trick to use.

For the quests tracked on the right side of the screen, since you can see all of them on the world map, you can click any that you want to do and a menu opens and you can choose "Make Only This Active" and it will clean up for you :)

76 is my first ever fallout game. It's so good. Played it straight for about a week so far. Loving every moment

i second the bench repair, esp playin with a friend. its fun to explore and find what you need, feels really immersive in the wqorld that youre having to scav for parts

Just wait for the queen event if you just started out and youll jump a bunch of levels. Just tag as many enemies as you can
What do you mean tag? Like hit em at least once before they die?
@@JB-xm1csyeah just try to get one hit on every enemy. Grenades and molotovs are helpful for tossing into groups of enemies to tag them. Radiation rumble is another outstanding event for tagging and XP. Eviction Notice is another. If you see any of those 3 events pop up, make sure to go to them.
To tag as many enemies as possible ->explosives specifically the PHATMAN

I really appreciate the callout to vets and how different 76 feels. I just got back in to it and I can really feel the differences.
Where it's similar to the others, I can do really well. But then some enemy changes or the perk system catch me so much off guard that my progress hits a dead stop.
Edit: I actually dont really fast travel because I usually do survival in fo4 and also not too keen on the cost of fast travel early game. But I *do* treat my camp like a nomadic stash box while I loot, scrap and craft *anything* i can get my hands on. My caps still build up quite nicely when I use it to load off some particularly heavy loads. Feels like this game favors loot goblins

It just got shit on when the game launched(the game did kinda suck) but looking at what they were trying to do(an open world multiplayer fallout experience) I think they’ve redeemed themselves quite nice. I played at launch for a month then stopped. Picked it up again 2 days ago, I’m almost lvl 50 and have been loving the grind

Don’t overlook mutations, depending on what weapons you like some can be very good. Twisted muscles gives you extra damage for melee weapons, eagle eyes gives extra perception and crit damage, adrenal reaction gives bonuses at low health, and healing factor pretty much removes the need for stims if you play right. If you do end up playing with mutations, the perks you NEED are starched genes and class freak. A helpful one if you like teams is strange in numbers, which gives every mutated team mate a boost to their mutations. Mutations are super helpful and I recommend you do some research and get mutations that would benefit you.
Wish the cap max was like 60k atleast i just bought my first mutation

I use speed demon, healing factor, and marsupial on my shotgun build, with a vampire explosive shotgun, every shot heals me to full health if it hits.
@@aaronball4700I got Marsupial as well. I use it mainly for traversal and to get up to hard to reach places so I can use my sniper rifle

I'm going to be expanding my perk card selection very soon because I just leveled up enough to max out the Gunsmith perk card (think I'm saying the right one). It's the one that makes it so your guns break 50% slower (once perk card is maxed) and max level mods (once discovered). That one was/is important to me but now I can branch out a bit. Not sure what to go for first..kinda want to make food/drink (including lowering radiation intake) the best it can be. Great vid.

I'm not new to the game, but I recently got my boyfriend into it after we watched the show and I forget that a lot of stuff that is obvious to me might not be clear to new players, so these videos are a nice memory refresher (actually I'm even learning a new thing here and there) so I can help him get around as he has never really played any Fallout before 🙏

Just hit level 50 around 30 hours in and I'm trying so hard to like this game but it's a real struggle. Maybe I'm missing something but it seems the endgame really only consists of minmaxing and I don't understand how that's so fun for people when the game itself is just a constant struggle with seemingly no meaningful reward or reprieve (repairing weapons and armor, worrying about carry weight, lack of resources in normal gameplay, running out of ammo constantly, bullet sponge enemies, game-crashing bugs, etc). Was only playing to get to level 50 for the Hellcat power armor (super cool move to give me higher-level loot I can't use for completing a main quest, Bethesda!) only to realize it seems unfeasible to use power armor unless I want to spend dozens of hours farming fusion cores and repair materials. Even then, I have a limited amount of space since I don't pay for fallout 1st. I love the Fallout series probably more than any other and I really want to like this game but it feels like the game itself doesn't want me to like it... unless I spend money, of course. I'm missing something here, right? Can any vets give me advice or insight to why they enjoy it and what I'm doing wrong?
Selling all items for 1 cap each has helped me get the serum recipes, in turn, using chemist and super duper to possibly get extra serums.
Also, when in-game, you can create a team and get mutation benefits without having another dweller on the team.
The perk cards will be specific on whether a teammate is needed for that specific effect.
I would say for new players that don't have fallout 1st save your atoms for the season pass , I did this on a new account. You can make way enough atoms through in game atom challenges

Fallout 76 is definitely fun I play with my brother on a team and we do events and just explore the map. I recommend giving it a try to anyone.
They should let me spend real money to buy more storage without having to buy fallout first

The problem is if they allow you to buy more storage space, everyone would call the game “pay to win” since when does storage space make you win and make you more powerful??
Some would argue you could technically manufacture a near infinite suppy of rescources for unlimited ammo.

I played on launch which means I haven't played in years. But I recently broke lvl 50. The clutter on your screen tip needs some help.
If you open your map and find the quest you want to do, click on it and select "make this only active quest" which is helpful. There is also a setting in the game settings that allows you to stop new quests from immediately being active.

Avoid the repair kits and the utility tab in general. You can get plenty from drops from boss events and such. I will say however if you dont have fallout 1st a scrap kit or two on a long hike away from your base is handy. Great video bud, informative for the new folks 😊

You can earn repair kits by doing events. The ones you get from the queen repair for 150% as opposed to the atom shop ones only at 100%.
1:48 You can also get them in game from public events. Never bought any, got over 700 of the damn things. I use them to repair items I toss into my shop.
You do need the repair kits fighting the scorch beast queen. I have had to repair my weapons up to three time in that event and you don't have time to go back to camp to do the repair.

This is my first Fallout game. I've played for an hour and I'm already addicted but it's a bit overwhelming, all the gameplay mechanics, the store filled with items, building, etc.. Didn't know what to do first. I assumed that the first thing I need to do is build a shelter. Still not sure about that part yet.

Farming ammo and stims are very doable via daily ops and expeditions.
Even though I have Fallout 1st have reach end game any spare items I have I always drop for new players. I’ve always encountered the issue of having too much and needing to drop rather then Stempacks Radway or something else go to waste I find a new player either dropping it on the ground or offering it in a trade for free

But you cant make purified water at a cooking station, well you can with a water purifier but heck if anyone knows where to get those. Its still very easy to get purified water though.
If play on Xbox my camp is far right upper corner, RapidRope452814 you can get pure watter, dirty watter which can craft into boil watter and I have Junk and vegetables anyone can harvest and use to cook 🙂 and refrigerator you can store it in so last longer. This just my way of helping. I may be low level but I did buy lots of stuff from atom shop like 20k worth because I not play in just kept my subscription 😁
I couldn't help myself giving this game a go after watching the tv series. I really should of give it a chance earlier, but i was put off by the bad reviews on release. I haven't got very far because im a sucker for looting items and then scrapping them for building materials for later in the game.

Repair kits are a LIFE saver when a good weapon breaks during a boss fight or a long battle.
My main weapon broke while fighting Earle Williams...I was shooting him with crap I picked up off the ground :/
Pro-Tip for a quicker method of turning off all active quests to reduce screen clutter.
* Open map, click on the only quest marker you want to work on and select "make only this active".
This will deselect all other active quests for you. I utilize this often when I pick up new quests which automatically pop into my active list.

Lvl 100 some and 76 is fun it’s the best with friends or too make friends and it’s my first fallout I’ve got into
The repair kits can be gotten for free from fighting the scorched queen or the colossal problem event. These are nuke fights.

One thing you got wrong, you said that all you have to do to get purified water is get dirty water and cook it at your cooking station…. That gives you BOILED water, not purified water.
With the food and water point, you actually did used to need to eat and drink, if you went too long with them too low, you'd die, they changed it a long time ago.

Join a casual team for more xp. You do not have to play with the team to get the benefits. There are food and drinks that can boost different things (xp, carry wt, intelligence, bargaining, etc). Learn which food or drink you need for the occasion.

Lockpicks you need bobby pins, to throw nades and stuff, click on them in your pip boy and they will hotkey until you run out (PC is G or V I think)
@@ItzTermx On PC, the default for grenades/molotovs is left alt key
to pick a lock, use your mouse key to pick an angle for your bobby pin. Can be any angle from 0-180 degrees. Hit the A or D key to turn the lock. If you have the wrong angle, the bobby pin will start to shake or flat out break. Keep adjusting the angle of the bobby pin while hitting A or D until the lock opens.

For xbox you hold right bumper and to kneel click right joy stick down and also there a flash light hold down b button😁 my pick lock tip is go slow, usally on 3 lock bobby pin be all way right or left and then on 2 it be like right or left corner and for hacking just back out once down to 1 and reenter your chance be refresh 🙂
I've stopped ylaying Fallout 76 in 2018.
Now I've started a new char and it's fun... They added a lot of stuff.
I have 1 of my 2 camps as a mobile camp to make it easier and I can put more in my mobile camp than a fallout 1st survival tent

My biggest peeve is the screen clutter, I'm doing a quest and suddenly a few pop up in the screen and i have to cancel them out every so often

As a seasoned veteran of this game the most important thing to know DO NOT SCRAP ALL YOUR PERK CARDS, ONLY DUPLICATES AFTER MAX LEVEL
as a vet who quit shortly after legendary perks came out, i hate to admit i just found out about scrapping your perk cards yesterday. i had 80+ packs jist waiting to be opened ( was like that because i was an old school player and had points set aside to build classes ) you know like back before we could move perk points around freely and it would cost us a level up point
I stopped playing 76 for over a year but still checked the atom shop every day for free stuff, I have 300 lunch boxes, 150 repair kits, 20 advanced repair kits and about 50 scout banners along with a ridiculous amount of carry boosts and bubblegum. I never eat never have less that 10 buffs and never repair anything from resources

by the time you get mid game, YOU WILL be throwing away the 100s of stimpaks cause you will have so many, and rad away. and you will also have tons of repair kits you never paid for.
I go to the wayward and drop some there. I drop stims and rad away. I place them in containers so they do not despawn.

Just started this game a week ago, and i love it so much, but the perk system is just confusing too me. Ive watched guides, and sort of got the basics down, but its probably going to take me until im much higher level before i get it properly.
hope my videos help :)
The first thing is to know what kind of a build you are going to make out of your character, then you can know what cards you need for that build.
My advice is to not scrap perk cards until you have 1 of each star level (a 1 star, a 2 star, and a 3 star etc. until you have each star) then scrap extras. You can not use them if they got scrapped.
Here’s my TIps , The scorch beast queen give repair kits for beating it everytime some regular ones and the other ones .
If you simply go and help not waste all your ammo but get some damage in and survive you get those and ultracite scrap and legendarys , and plans for ultracite PA .
You can farm the scorch beast for repair kits and never have to use your junk to repair again .
The trick to sustaining is having ammo in the game .
If you have ammo and a ways and means to replenish it at a whim .
You can farm as many bosses as many times as you want .
I’ll give my method ,
Hopefully Bethesda dosent nerf it .
I run a heavy gun build ,
If you don’t know what that means
Look it up you’ll figure it out .
Reason being is for my ultracite Gatling laser ,
Or my explosive Gatling .
The ultracite Gatling laser runs on regular fusion cores unless you prime it .
Then it runs on ultracite fusion core which are not ideal to craft or find .
So keep it on regular fusion cores.
Gather fusion cores by any means
Weather it be using a private world and starting a power plant or scavenging for them
In pa and electric gens .
Once you have enough you are comfortable with .
You want to get the legendary perk that absorbs energy damage and recharges your fusion core /heals you.
THIS PERK IS A MUST HAVE FOR MY METHOD .
when you are using fusion cores for a Gatling laser , deplete it to 100 rounds or even 1 but not 0
And change it before it is fully dead.
When you need to recharge them ,
Set up a tent outside watoga in the south by the train tracks ,
Empty your inv of fusion cores into your stash ,
Take one dead or half dead one.
Pull out your PA
Make sure your Gatling is not equipped ,
And put the dead core in depending on how dead it is you can get in the PA if it’s not too dead and walk to the next step in this method in the PA
If the fusion core is pretty much on 0 just put the PA in your inv and do this next step.
The next step is to kill everything except the protectron worker ,
Put on your power armor if not already on and kite him to the tracks as he shoots you ,
He will be recharging your core in the PA and healing you so you are not taking damage during this .
It takes like 45 seconds to charge a 0 fusion core to 99 with this method .
So do the process for all your fusion cores you need charged up.
And if you have the fusion core charger you can top them off to 100 if you want to sell em for some reason or like them at 100.
And bypass the 1 hr wait on the fusion core charger .
If you have a regular Gatling with 5 mm
You farm that in daily ops from enemies and finishing the ops.
With these methods you can sustain a high reward more volume in farming legendarys and being able to run events all the time and not spending time scavenging really
i just punch things with my power fist till they die

Easy , with your legendary perk I mentioned nothing in a nuke silo can kill you aside from flame throwers and melee damage .
Most everything except a few bots have laser guns and the ceiling lasers as well , these don’t harm you with the perk .
Learn PA clipping or the “silo glitch”
And have the required quest done to launch nukes and you’ll be spawning three sbq a day or 6 a day
My last thing to give advice on is , don’t be attached to legendarys u less you are level 50 when you get it .
Level 50 is when you actually start the game .
Anything “legendary “ below level 50 is useful when your that level other wise it’s trash .
The way you play 76 is events and scorch beasts , sometimes earl sometimes the Ultracite Titan . Earl sucks to fight .
Scorch beasts is a sponge but not like earl .
Ultracite titan is easy peasy .
If you are in event or boss fight join someone’s team for more xp. For events ,
Stay full and rested for bonus xp and use your lunchboxes and flags .
For more xp .

Dont store junk...store the materials from the junk

To get the armor you need to unlock Vault 79. You unlock Vault 79 by completing these missions:
Trade secrets
Invicible ties
Duty calls
Cheating death
Fun and games
The Ol Western Shuffle
All that glitters/buried treasures
You will also need gold to purchase the plans from one of the NPC's in Vault 79. You get gold By exchanging Treasury Notes at Gold Press Machines up to a daily limit. Treasury Notes can be earned from Wastelanders daily quests and by completing Public Events.

Level 1200+ player here do NOT hike up your Charisma cards. You can switch Hard Bargain in and out as and when you need it (or make a trading and crafting build). The higher your intelligence, the more XP you'll get and the faster you'll level up
Max out Life Giver in Endurance. it's far more important than Rejuvanated or Goulish (the only good card you have there is Fireprrof and you need to max it out)

@@paulschultz330the fastest way to get XP is to run WestTek. I personally don't do it, I just play the game, but you can find lots of videos for the best way to run it and get max XP on TH-cam
A quick way of clearing the vendor every day is to sell what you pick up after events, rather than scrap it. You'll easily get your 1400 caps a day doing that. Also set up a vendor in your own camp even if you're just selling the ammo you don't use. .308, .45 and 5mm always sell for a cap a bullet and you can sell thousands at a time
But don't feel the need to rush it, believe me, you'll soon get to the point where you have loads of caps and gold. Play around with different builds, ways of playing, heavy guns/rifles/shotguns/melee... there are so many ways of playing the game. Just this week I decided to make it harder on myself by only playing with pipe rifles haha

@@paulschultz330to get caps, collect the items near a vendor and sell it back to them. Another way to get caps is sell the weapons from events that you can scrap to the vendor.
West-tec is a place you can get some good exp. Radiation rumble gives both the exp plus a bunch of items you can sell.
The more intelligence your character has the more exp you will get, use buffs to increase intelligence. Join a public casual team, that increases intelligence. Mostly just go fighting, cook all the foods even if you do not use or want it, it is exp.
I'm on ps4 and strive to level up every day, but at 820 it is more like every other day now.
Do not be concerned about dieing you lose nothing except the junk you are carrying, scrap it often.

@@mystery785if you cancel your Fallout 1st subscription, you’ll keep the scrap box for as long as you have stuff inside it. You just won’t be able to store anything else in it.
Same goes for the ammo box.
I'm pretty new and still learning FO76. you say you can boil dirty water to get purified, but boiling water just makes boiled water. Where do I get the filters so I can make purified water?
With a water purifier in your camp, plan can be bought from traders

Is strength really good? I'm level 8 in the game and have about 6 levels into it. It's hard to use melee against multiple enemies and I'm not sure what to do. Should I just make a new build?
Strength is important, it dictates how much you can carry, how hard your punch can be. Some perk cards become a must under the Strength tab.
To me the hardest part of the game is from level 1 to 100.
Also in time you will find you should have a 2nd character, 1 to help the settlers and 1 to help the raiders get the gold. You can have 5 characters on each account.
My friend got me this game, I'm trying to enjoy it but there's something about a double barrel break action shotgun with 8 shots that makes me violently ill.

I've dropped thousands of repair kits from doing the queen. No need to buy them. Also it's easier to go to the map and select show only this quest.
How to spec the special points? It tell me to level up (7), but I can only select perk cards. I can't allocate points in a specific SPECIAL..
at the stations at trainstops or at your base. look at the thing I walk up to in the video when showing the perk cards
You can not repair Chinese Stealth Suite with a bench. Has to be a repair kit. I know, since I use to run it before power armor.
Is commando or heavy gunner with PA the strongest?
Purifier water comes from a purifier.
Boiied water comes from cooking dirty water.
how does your pipboy menu look like that? mine pops up the actual pipboy so it’s incredibly frustrating

Why is your pipboy a different color without the pipboy's boarder?
Click the view button at the bottom of your screen when the pipboy is out and it will change the view

Yeah, at every train station there's a rack of perk cards, interact with it and you can respec your build.
Error .. At 4:50 you say cook dirty water to become purified. It becomes Boiled Water. You need a Water Purifier to purify dirty water. 😊

I'm level 500+ I get repair kits for free fighting scotch beast queen event. N I only yous them wen ever n a boss fight n weapon n armer breaks. Only time repair kits shood be used.
Watched the video but didn’t see anything about the 5k caps in the thumbnail image? Did I just miss it? Just started playing a couple days ago.
The caps thing is from the perk cards I mentioned in the video and how to save them through not buying resources from scamming players or overpriced traders. (Or wasting them on teleporting)
Follow those step and you will easily have 5-8k caps by level 25 (i know this because my friend just did it)

@@ItzTermx don't worry you did good, please if you like me and have subscription make sure let people know your camp and that it's open to them. Like me have 90% crafting place to create and store food. Place to store your ammo and Junk because no one can steal your items it's separate but still a way for you all save space 😁 again my camp is free to all and no one included me cant steal your items. They do still count as your storage so if you use refrigerator, the fusion core charger for your power station or my stash it all counts tords your personal storage please use it why I built and made it private 😁 help everyone who plays fallout 76 like me on Xbox don't know if it's cross platform 😁 thank you much appreciated and grateful 😀

How about new players who have never played a Fallout game start with something like 4 so they have a basic understanding of how the game works, then move on to 76. Those of us who have been playing 76 long enough know how hard of a learning curve it was even after playing other Fallout games, and we could benefit from a lot less noobs who have no idea what they're doing not showing up for events and not participating and keeping us from having enough veterans on the servers to make events worthwhile. Thanks.
It is a real drag that there was a high influx of new players with the show coming out.
I soloed the aliens a few times because no one showed up. Still beat it.
Sounds like you need a better weapon or more confidence in your character.
I never expected I would beat it but I didn't give up either.
i got 170hrs in this game, and the issue is the no replayability basically at end game. after the main story i did almost every quest and it was pretty boring

I'm at 150 hours and barely scratched the surface when it comes to finishing quest lol
I got 656hrs and still haven't launched my first nuke
I'm at nearly 1000 hours since launch and I've not finished any of the main quests. I like creating characters, exploring, collecting and building bases. Just being in the game sandbox is the fun for me. :)
