Nice video, great footage and editing! I agree, you proved the Maxx Slash is no more rollover prone than the next SCT. I think what you guys did here is pretty much the most common use scenario that the average consumer for these trucks will encounter. To which, the Slash certainly holds it's own. It probably is overall the most durable of the 3 for the usage here. I suspect the Mojave's are more capable to run on a track, but then, none of the 3 are truly race level RC's, so probably not worth getting too fluffed up about. I think TRX should either lower the price, or at least start throwing the sway bars on from the factory, that would make a closer value comparison I feel. But yeah, TRX is top dawg in RC as a whole, so no surprise they fetch the most coin. Keep up the great content brother!!😎👍🤙
Thank you and Marvin, you guys made this video a total blast. Adam made that little budget car into something to watch as well. I really appreciate you guys bashing around with me.
Exocaged just proved the exact opposite against the 6s Mojave in his video this morning. He still loves the Slash but admitted the Mojave dominated. Same as my personal experience with both my 4s and 6s Mojave against my 2 buddies Maxx Slashes. Both Mojave platforms are really good and set a high bar for anyone wanting to compete. I think Traxxas should have went Xmaxx Slash 8s powered and created their own category. It's easy to be best when you're the only one.
I think the surface has a lot to do with it also. He ran them mostly on his deep sand track, we ran them on fresh cut grass growing out of red clay, after a few days rain.
Really should have had sway bars out of the box. Still a tank compared to a mojave 6S which comes with arrmas RTR diffs, junk old servo saver, servo, etc. 4S Mojave is sweet but bogs down in grass, where I think the Maxx Slash shines.
Thank you! I love the way Short Course Trucks drive, they have their own totally unique handling characteristics, and they demand for you to actually drive them, even when they have a gyro, you gotta mind your P's & Q's or they'll make you pay, and I love it?
Add part 10234 to the Maxx slash. It’s the shock extension they use in the rear. Put them out front and it fixes the handling. Truck runs way better leveled out.
Compared the the mojave 4s. It jumps worst, handles worst in every single aspect. Razor did a running videoS and Review of the maxx slash. Every single run it drove extremly poorly except the last running video where he tuned it for the second time. Still drove poor but more controllable in the air.
I think many things factor into it. Surface being a big one. In this video it didn't flip or roll in the air, or on the ground any more than the other RC cars did. I think it was even on that with the Mojaves if you were to count them up. I think that short grass on top of red clay underneath was good for the Maxx Slash in this instance.
It'll get sorted out. The sway bars should have come with it out of the box. Razor did some things but the guy doesn't like SCTs, and is trying to bash it like a Truggy, which it just isn't.
@@TheFatAssCat well the competition can take it. I dont like SCT either. I got sold of my mojave exb because of the nose dives and the body mounts and bumper springs kept breaking in a only a few runs. Could have tuned it and made it handle great but i got interested on something else. Didnt want to invest into a new power system. The maxx slash is overpriced trying to compete against the mojave 4s and 6s. Its hardly a competitor to both of them.
So the guy said that 1/10 scale truck that was stable was all stock...How could that be since he also said it was a mixture of 3 different cars...what classis was it? Arrma?
Traxxas RC products are often most expensive in class, nearly always actually. Slash 1/10 scale was always more expensive than the Senton in it's class. XMAXX is more expensive than a Kraton 8s, and so on down the line. It's just the way it is.
For sure I got my slash almost 10 years ago. Have 2 trx4’s and the 6x6. Have a Denton granite 6s typhon 8s outcast got on sale for 640. Have a few more crawlers too so not new to the hobby and own everything but a techno atm. So not a fanboy of any specific rc. Just blown away by Traxxas on this one. Since you know 2020 they’ve seem to have had some internal issues
@@Rek_Rc that's good for a TRAXXAS lol but what do these Mojave do I got 53mph on nice hard dirt and 44 in the grass.... I hate to be that guy but TRAXXAS needs to seriously stop with these vxl systems and update them they were not real good when they were fresh technology.... new I do love what they have done with the maxx chassis that lcg was needed and I wouldn't ever consider buying the maxx slash personally but if the were to use this chassis on a truggy or even a 4s basher buggy that would be something awesome 😎
That traxxas is either not setup correctly or has other serious issues...i have a sub $100 car that would smoke it on a flat dirt or pavement flat track...

Comment of the day right there! PINNED!
A day out racing with the bros.....good times.......priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ABSOLUTELY a BLAST! It's always fun to go bashing around with friends
Nice action packed video!
It was a lot of fun making this one
What an incredible time you guys were having 🤘
I don’t think I’ve felt so good after an RC video. Thanks for improving my day.
P.S. I got a MAXX Slash yesterday. :-)
What a nice comment, thank you for checking out the video and I'm really happy you liked it! Enjoy that Maxx slash, they are FAST!
That was awesome and fun. Y'all must have been there all day. Cool.
We were out there for a while that's for sure
Awesome times , thanks Rek

Great racing keep them coming . Fun to watch
Thank you for checking it out, and we'll try to bring some more action.
I need that C6 corvette
It took a bit of work, but Tony got that thing ripping and running good and straight.
That little drag car on 2S is doing amazing. Fun day racing.
Drag cars are built to absolutely rip on 2s, and they do
Amazed me. @@Rek_Rc
Sweet! Excellent action footage. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cool video 👌💯💙 I'm thinking of getting the udr ridgid version, keep upvthe good work guys
I'd like a UDR too. I want both Mojave models as well.
That sounds like a nice collection my friend 🤙💙💯
Awesome racing dude I love sct and desert trucks! Also that drone footage was next level 🔥👏

@@Rek_Rc looking at my UDR and kraton 6s and thinking about how different they’re to drive haha
Mann yall having FUN! Thats's what its all about im jealous!
It's ALL about fun! We usually go home with broken cars, but we don't mind at all
Great video. Very entertaining.
Thank you so much! Comments like yours make our day
ARRMA MOJAVE. Nice truck fast.!!!💯💯💯💯
That Traxxas run so smooth on that surface. Nice.!!!💯💯💯💯
The surface plays a huge roll in if the Maxx Slash handles well or not. That surface was good for it.
Freaking awesome video!!! And the drone footage 🔥🔥🔥
That was a BLAST! I could have stayed out there all night
Nice video, that's very funny, awesome 👍👍
That one was a BLAST to film the most fun videos to make we've ever done.
AWESOME VIDEO LOVE IT
I really appreciate that! Thank you!

I'll be doing another video of that
Great video, but shout out to the guy operating the drone. The footage was awesome 👌
That would be Mr Tado at the drone controls. He's becoming quite the pilot.
What drone was used for the footage? Great content good job 👍🏻
Great video 👍🏾
We really appreciate you watching and the nice comment. Thank you!
Congrats on 3k + subs bud
Thank you!! I still enjoy every second of the grind.
WOW! Your really went all out on this video. Extreme entertainment and good times. Great job! ٩(̾●̮̮̃̾•̃̾)۶

Awesome, love the racing. 🔥
It was a blast. Everyone was fast, mostly clean, and everyone won a race
When Traxxas finally releases the sway bar kit (10296), it will be a game-changer for this truck.
Yea and it’ll only be $100 more!
@@runnergt8594 and the part is only $29.95.
the 2 wheel slash was like wait for me!!!
Hahahah yep, it's fast on the street, but not so much off road.
So the guy said that 1/10 scale truck that was stable was all stock...How could that be since he also said it was a mixture of 3 different cars...what classis was it? Arrma?
Senton 6s with a different body and Wheels, the rest was stock
Idk for the money it cost I just don’t see it being worth it at all. Spent less on my 8s outcast new then this cost

I'll have to check out some of your stuff!
Good times. 🤙🏽
I love this hobby, even a bad day is good with an RC car and friends
its just crazy to keep up with other 4s short course it needs to be 6s says alot for traxxas electronics
I was hugely impressed by that as well it can still run in the mid 40s on 4s!

@@RC4us on 6s I get 57 to 60 with the Maxx slash, I think a good run on the Mojave would get about 55 MPH. In grass anything over 40 is fast really.
Drag rc are fast in 2 cell cuz of the high kv light weight its not surprising its just math
That traxxas is either not setup correctly or has other serious issues...i have a sub $100 car that would smoke it on a flat dirt or pavement flat track...
Well, this video was done on two blown tires after the slash was run over by a Mercedes in the video before this one. So, there's that I suppose.
Any lesson to be learned about driving around traffic? Did you get smacked for running under some dudes car?
It was just a freak accident. The guy in the car couldn't have been nicer about it. It's hardly a smackable offense.
