That " one drop " sure looks like more than one drop. It could just be the video; however, it looks like way more. I don't use that much oil on my reels, and they all hold up just fine. Tight lines my friend
As someone who has never gone fishing, but has become interested due to your content, this video is really useful. Thank you. And thank you for all the comments bc those too are useful. Big ups✊✊
@@TUFFBASS hey Tuff. I wanted to give you a recommendation. When you take off the spool tension knob to oil it, you don’t also need to then oil the inner pin. The next time you take your reel apart takeoff that spool tension knob, and that spool and you’ll notice the end of that spool knob will sit right where that tensioner is. It seems you oiled it twice in this video. It’s just a good way to not over oil your reels.

Definitely strange! I always only use 1 drop each bearing. Probably the video! Tight lines brother!

I am happy it was helpful and glad to have you be a part of the TUFF Family
If you use to much oil on the inner part of the reel it can cause the drag to slip.
Never knew that! I always use 1 drop.
Yep
I had to wash mine out with dawn dish soap and hot water to get it back
Nice video! Important to do!
Hey thanks! Definitely is inportant especially after winterb
@@TUFFBASS I agree!
Oh yea! Remember to subscribe if you aren’t yet!
I am a first time bait caster owner what type of oil should I get
I’m not sure actually! I’m sure you can find it on Amazon!
Gun oil is fine! Lucas
True sir, very tiny technical stuff. You sure know what you are doing. Signed, pro fisherman. But I highly recommend the Zebco.870
Thanks for the comment! Remember to Subscribe!
Zebco 870. Lol old junker
I don't know... i learned that you put oil on bearings and grease on everything else...
Yes I did
Forgot the worm gears and the button thingy
Not in the full video 😅
You don’t oil the worm gear. It gets a gear grease
nahhh

Hey thanks for the advice! I will keep that in mind! Remember to Like & SUBSCRIBE!
Good video and shows everywhere that needs to be oiled, but you are using to much oil, you should only use a drop for each bit you oil
Thanks for the comment, it may be hard to tell from tje video but I was only using a drop per spot.
Good video, do you recommend a certain oil. With no scent,
I personally haven’t bought any oil, I own a lot of Shimano, and oil comes with all their stuff! Remember to subscribe!
Machine oil 3m works best for me .
Use gun oil
Where can I get that oil & what kinda oil is it
The oil i use in this video is from my Shimano baitcaster but this one here is pretty much the same -> amzn.to/3CuBtMn
@@TUFFBASS awesome
Don’t forget to Grease !
True true!
Exactly
And when you cast you’ll get maybe a 20 feet cast , after you’ve drenched that thing with all that oil fool
Love the sarcasm 😝
Doing that at least you know your real's going to last for a long time taking care of it you ready to go fishing yet
Oh yea definitely dude! The weather is getting much better so yes!
