good video brah! you still got the car? Is that metallic black Schwartz ? If so I have exact same car, same color. I got the notorious clear coat peel problem everyone has with that color code. I'm planning the coil conversion soon.
Thank you. Yes, still have the car and it is Diamond Schwartz Metallic. The car recently went through a full repaint so paint is almost perfect. You will not be disappointed with the conversion.
Unfortunately I was not able to locate it either. It appears they took their website down. I did search for BMW M42 coil pack conversion and found another company offering what appears to be the same kit but I am not sure if it is or not.
Gian Carlo solis noticeable I noticed a slight power difference but I think the original coil on my car was going bad. This is definitely more reliable and startup seems a bit quicker as well but could be due to my original coil being bad. Also nice that these coils are readily available at most parts stores.
That's a great question. The E36 shares most of the same setup from the e30 m42. I would think the connector is the same but I would look at images of the coil pack and compare to the connector to see if they are similar.
@@atpgarageatl i have the same engine that you and the factory ignitior pack wire is not the one that you plug into the new coils , does a i need the ignition wire from m52 ?
@@italomoura1435 the kit did not come with the wires. I was able to use the wires from the factor coil on the e30. I would look at the back of the new coils and compare to the wire setup to your factor box. If the connectors are different then you will need to build a harness.
The kit used in the video did not come with much instructions either which is why I created the video. If you follow along you should be able to install without much issue.
Probably less than 10 but the reliability is what I was really after. I have plans in the future for ITBs so this helps with the fuel management I plan to go with as well.
Doing this next week. Only took me 17 years of ownership to get round to it :-)

You used the stock harness right?? because the kit I bought brought a harness for it and I'm not sure if it's needed, everything fit into place
I used the factory harness. I unplugged it from the factory coil and then plugged them into each individual coil pack.
Thanks for this step by step! Do you have a link for this kit? I’ve been searching online for this hq motor sport kit and can’t find it anywhere!

did you feel any difference in power or is it just for more reliable and better starting??

HY ATP , o just bougth that kit and i have a e36 318is , my doubt is the factory ignition pack wire fit in these new coils?

my question is whether you used them or had to use others? in the HQ Autosport kit do not provide the cables

Hi, do you know if you can fit the cover still with the Coil on plug conversion? Looks like it sits too high to me but not sure. Cheers
Sam Weston OEM cover will not fit as you have to remove the base plate in order to install the coil on plug conversion.
