i couldn't tell which one is better but both of them has great offense. in defense, ryo is literally better defender coz of his skill and passive giving him advantage to steal the ball in a blink and space for inside the basket, the categories shadow had advantage of are passing ability and shot speed, if your team is a great passer too shadow will also be a threat beyond the arc, shadow will control a team game while ryo will offer your team advantage on cutting the passing and holder of the ball, it depends on the players who play both.
