What I absolutely adore about Baylor is he RUNS everywhere....so full of life and joy. This little boy is precious. Makes me laugh every time.

This has to be the happiest baby elephant on earth!
And he is definitely one of the luckiest. He doesn't have to stay close to his mother for protection. He can run around and play and investigate his surroundings without fear of predators.
He doesn't have to walk thirty miles every day just to find food or water. He has fresh water to drink and to bathe in.
And he will have a chance to form bonds with humans who love him.
He has a very good life, thanks to you, Houston Zoo.

It's not the size of the enclosure that matters most. What matters most is what is in the enclosure, such as enrichment items, and all else that can actually produce a much more mentally and physically stimulating environment than nature provides for these wonderful creatures.

Thank you for providing an environment that stimulates their minds. Not enough zoos do that these days. Your staff is obviously very caring. :)
