I’m glad you showed that clip of the ItO intercepting your bombs. Goes to show to neither take CAS or SPAA for granted, and to actually have some capacity to think and reason to be good at using them.

Except that it’s a VERY specific situation in which SPAA counters an aircraft thats specifically targeting the SPAA player. Doesn’t work when an Su-25 is just straight up ignoring SPAA 25km away as they launch missiles towards all their teammates who can’t fire missiles back to counter them.
Yes, SPAA can shoot down bombs and missiles and deny the strikes but when you only have 8 missiles and use like half of them, if not ALL shooting down ordanance you do NOT get rewarded for it! And since CAS can just RTB and rearm while the SPAA needs to stay in spawn to not get killed by ground units they won't have any missiles left for the second strike.
Not to mention ADATS terrible acquisition of missiles and bombs since it uses optical tracking instead of radar track which makes locking through clouds impossible at times…

In the roadmap certain vehicles in the future will be able to drop missiles\supplies boxes in the base or anywhere in the map, and camo tents as well! I remember I read it a while ago.

Now the spike spam is crazy. You can shoot em all out the sky but that damn near depletes your SAM missile count.
ofc other spaa can deny bombs, but pantsir is better at it, miles better. early, intuitive, and sensitive detection is everything buddy, which only pantsir has. also ito shoots 2 and reloads, unlike like pantsir.
idk what the issue is, pantsir is easy to use, it is proven, it is empirical that playing as russian is easier in grb. why dont people just accept this lol its facts
i dont play russia tree, but as of now the only one that detects K band is russia itself

Though I agree with bombs getting shot down by missiles is a good change, it does make me sad for the ADATS. No ability to cue tracker to the search radar in 3rd person and overal poor performance of the IRST tracker to begin with makes you not able to react quickly at all. Though I do commend the ItO player at the start for reacting fast, it's not like he wasn't likely massively helped by his radar tracker's ability to instantly cue to the bomb, but if it was an ADATS, likely it wouldn't have survived the first bomb in the first place. Having better radar verticle angle coverage is also helpful, though not sure if it made a difference here.
Now the tracker of the ADATS will forever most likely remain rather poor against munitions. Best that could happen is they change if from pure IR only to TV/IIR, you know it's the same optics as found on the Apache (or at least closely related). Maybe such a change would allow it to lock onto cold targets such as bombs, or burnt out missiles (as far as they are "cold"). Then again, the SIDAM has a pure TV tracker right now, and it's not exactly good either I think. As for the automatic cueing, the ADATS irl could do this, if you think about it there is actually also just no technical limiation why this isn't possible. It's simply just a remnant of balancing from years ago when IR trackers were unique and otherwise too powerful, but now pretty much everyone has them in addition to their radar trackers so there is no reason for the limitation to be here still. Bug reports have already been passed, but it's been a while. The radar on the ADATS apparently also had TWS.
So basically, this change greatly benefitted all SPAA with radar trackers, but the ones that don't still have mostly the same problems as before. And really, I regarded the ADATS (US/UK) already as some of the easist SPAA to deal with, even though they at least don't give out RWR warnings on launching, but it's irrelevant if you can stay outside their maximum operational range so easily. It's only saving grace is that Soviet/Russian CAS only really have forwards looking sights, making them get actually in range from time to time.

I don't know tbh if the pantsir was a good idea or bad. Pantsir issue can be fixed by adding big maps, CAS issue can be fixed by increasing the SP.
The biggest challenge is to convince Gaijin to fix issues without making a bigger issue.
Sadly this nerfs console players since we can only pull our aircraft in so few directions and don't get me started on our STILL bad rendering issue. Might just have to sign off if any bomb can be missiled by the 16 round pansir that i can't render in fast enough. These videos will be my only friend
Don't get me wrong I live for the challenge and adaptation, but with missiles and bombs now shot out of the sky, 2s38 hitting my f15 at 5000ft with no lock on or anything, Russia's still op spaa that can kill you as you airspawn with no sight of it due to bad rendering, STILL no gaijin store for console so if you miss the boxer event too bad I guess? I'm just not enjoying the game like I used to. Sorry for the rant i'm just exhausted at this point, Still love your videos stay awesome!
You need to have fun with HSTV-L new lock and fuse shell, this thing is better than OTO in shooting down airplanes LoL.

The thing about CAS vs SPAA is that a top tier CAS nowadays can easily stay alive against any amount of SPAA and still attack enemy teams, but SPAA cant deal with multiple CAS , and also the fact that CAS can replenish ammo when ever they want, maybe it would be fair if CAS cost sp to reload ammo?
SPAA is 90 SP, and can come back with backup that doesn't need to be earned because it is cheap, and you want a 900 SP jet to rearm by paying more spawn points? 🤨
The F14 doesn't have a drogue chute, BUT the spoilers in the top side of the wings should deploy when landing on the airfield to aid in slowing you down.

yeah rockets intercepting missiles was understandable for tracking but jdam being guided by satelite being tracked is stupid. The purpose of jdam was to make up for the fact that we couldn't fight off spaa that were op by countering them. Now they have op spaa and the ability to stop jdam.
For the clip at the start, all i can say is, he didnt have enough competition, thats why he managed. Yesterday i tried to play ussr in ground sim at top tier. Safe to say that having to intercept 18+ spikes/PARs/AGMs, 20 seconds within spawning, is not something doable by any human being, even when playing a pantsir.
They need to add cover near all bases in all maps in Ground SB, at least one or two houses, to survive the 16 Spikes bullshit in the first 20 seconds, I agree.
Also, Pantsir TWS lock switching contacts\projectiles automatically need to be fixed honestly.
I paused myself and exclaimed "wait,since when the F-14B had the IOC to carry JDAMs?" Then i remembered that the F-14B was still in service in the early 2000s and only a handful of them were upgraded to the D variant
I always forgot that the F-14 served the USN for 30 years, it's insane how many weapons it carried

@@Hunter_i86 its history is fantastic yet very sad:over-engineered marvel that reshaped the doctrine of the USN but was too expensive to maintain,every program it had was filled with delays,when the B came out the F-18 already was superseding the F-14,the first deployment of the Tomcat was during The First Gulf War and even there it only did CAP and escort bombers,less than what the F-18 did.
And finally,the A-12 first and the F-22N then were the nail in the coffin for the F-14D and possibly the AST-21

It would be completely harmful to add a F-14B which is essentially the same but has a little more ordnance options,it'd rather prefer it to have it as a modification upgrade (like how you can upgrade the T-72B3 to the UBH)

At this point Gaijin needs to simply change the name of the F-14B to the F-14B(U),since the version we have in game is the 2000-2001 version:
JDAM capability was added with the OFP 320 and 321 which were carried in between 1999 and late 2000 and the ability to use the LANTIRN pod was added with the OFP 317 that was delivered in 1997. So yeah,this F-14B is not the 1989-1990 variant,but rather the 2001 variant

Bombs being hit by missiles and surviving isn't really nonsense. Bombs are usually made of VERY think steel. Anti-air missiles are made to shred very thin airplane skins, not thick armor. Now a missile with a shaped charged, I could see that reaching the explosive material inside the bomb and causing it to explode but most anti-air missiles are small shrapnel that would likely need to hit the fuse on the end OR get lucky and find a weak spot in the bomb's casing.
You might be right, I meant it for gameplay purposes more than realism, if you spot a bomb and fire a missile at it that means you are a player with good awareness and you did your job, so you deserve to survive, you don't deserve to be trolled or Gaijined LoL.
Even if a SAM doesn't destroy a bomb, it's very likely to knock it off-course and destroy any kind of guidance module attached to it, thereby neutralising it as a threat.
The warheads in SAMs are quite considerable - 8.47kg TNT equivalent for the Pantsir's 95Ya6, which is about 1.5x that of a 125mm HE shell.
@@tomfahey2823 Not really. The mass difference of the falling bomb and the shrapnel from the exploding missile are no where near the same in terms of energy. A 500lb bomb falling close to mach 1 would have 13,000,000+ joules of energy. The mass of the fragments likely to hit it would have 100,000 - 400,000, the higher being if most of the projectiles were able to hit the bomb, which can't happen due to most anti-air missiles detonating in a sphere. The bomb might feel a tickle. Now if it could knock off/damage the guidance kits or change aerodynamic fins substantially, it could make it veer off course and not be able to correct itself. There aren't exact numbers but just rough ones just to give an idea of what the size differences would be.
True lol I guess Gaijin needs to simulate shrapnel better on bombs so that you can actually hide your vehicle behind cover. I've seen countless kills of vehicles behind cover, enough cover that would protect them in the real world, yet somehow the Gaijin shrapnel penetrates entire buildings and still has enough energy to pierce even the thickest parts of armor. Even some tree trunks should be able to provide protection if you hide key parts of your vehicle behind a tree that's thick.

I’ve found JDAMs are super effective against SPAA and very fun to use. Cheaper in terms and spawn points and taking more skill to use makes them very satisfying when you get a kill. I think the F-16C is the optimal platform with its speed and maneuverability to evade pantsirs, but I also found the AV-8B to be very fun because you get so many JDAMs. I havnt tried the A-10C yet but I don’t see how effective it can be with its slow speed making toss bombing harder and harder to evade top tier SAMs. If anyone has used the A-10C with JDAMs I’d love to hear their experience with it.

IRL those bombs isnt easy target for SAM's cause bombs often has thick shell(+-2cm on side and 3-4cm on nose) and even if it was penetrate bombs TNT will not explode, cause for explode need a little explode by detonator which often places behind

Meanwhile, us in the flarakrad...... we fire once at the aircraft, it sent 3 munitions, we have one missile left for self defense and get slammed by two munitions while reloading. lmao.
You can launch one smoke grenade and all TV and laser guided weapons that are targeting you will miss.
That's why I like FlaRakRad, it is my favorite SPAA in top tier, I even hate S1 TWS lock that switch contacts randomly.

CAS is supposed to be OP to a certain extent IRL but it is not in WT and SPAA isn't useless. I'd argue SPAA is far too powerful atm.

Wonder if they will ever add AGM-88 HARM for example (and other anti-radar missiles), it would be great for CAS and possibly hard to balance.
It should miss once SPAA turn OFF its radar.

The usual, F-16C Viper for 12.7 lineup, but with 2x Maverick G because Maverick D is very frustrating, launch three missiles on three tanks to get one critical hit.

IMO CAS is overpowered, because its Not limited. You Spawn in an SPAA and have to deal with 4-5 Targets, which are sometimes 360 degrees around you. Another Point is that AA is mostly annoying to Play because if you manage to kill the aerial threats you Are basicly useless with most top Tier AA systems and you Are Not very mobile. On many Maps you cant Even leave the Spawn without getting Killed from across the map. Gaijin should give the AA different Spawns and more opportunities to re-arm and reduce the number of planes and Helicopters to a max of 3 at a time

i dont think CAS is OP. its Hard enough to get arround 800-900 SP to go into a good CAS jet, and the spaa is the cheapest vehicle to join in. The only OP thing in this game is the russian Bias Meta. I have a clip from a KA 52 wich has to land and couldnt go away i shot him 6-7 times with my sep v2 apds before i got the kill. F16 c has 6 maverick S1 got 12 rockets to destroy every maverick u shoot + 6 more to kill you from a distance of 20 km. Russian Cas got kh-39t with 30 km range and they are much faster than mavericks.Russian Helicopter has ATGM wich can easily kill jets because they are so much faster than other ATGM. Russian tanks are so hard to kill every hit at my amarican line up is a crit. if i hit the russian bias its every first shot a non pen.

We spent time grinding for them. We should be able to use it as we pls. Air rb is just dumb and can't enjoy it. We enjoy aircraft better in grb

it its really needed to kill an spaa with tracker, its better to "saturate" their radar, throw 3 or 4 things at the same time and hes done, i ussually distract, throw 2 agm, and i keep flying defensively, so he has 2 options, defend or kill me, either way its gonna be bad lol, if theres more than one spaa tho, it gets difficult

The people who complain about CAS being OP are the same people who either refuse to use them, or use them while sitting in one spot, never ever moving, and then wondering why they are targeted first. The only people who have valid complaints about CAS being broken is people who play USA due to a massive lack of good SPAA, ADATS, Roland 3, and people who complain about KA-50s or Russia as a whole.
All it takes is 1 competent SPAA player, even at low tiers, and even the best CAS pilot will struggle or outright be unable to even get close enough to do their job, especially at top tier.
The US has a lot of great cas options.
Also what about Israel, Italy, Japan, Great Britain and Germany? They lack good SPAA options, also.

BR changes are a joke. SEP & SEPV2 = T-90M 2A7V etc. apparently… Pantsir 12.0? 12.7 is more like it. 2S6 should be 11.7 if the ADATS is…what else am I missing?
Gaijin thinks ITO-90M is same as Pantsir-S1 -- both going up to 12.0 BR next
I don't understand why ItO 90 is 12.0 and FlaRakRad stayed at 11.7, both use the same VT1 missile, only the German truck has smoke grenades and better engine, the thing that makes it the better one.
Man I could and cant dodge spaa missiles like you can no matter how hard I pull they can pull harder 😭
I can dodge them because I was far, there is time to spot these pixels and also the energy and speed of the incoming missile is less.
