Mikoto Misaka in both Electrical Output and Application outclasses Killua, they recently did a Death Battle with her vs Killua.
But basically she has Electric Shocks, can Control things with Magnetism, Hack Technology, Emit and Manipulation EM Waves, and various applications from those abilities including clinging to Walls, Firing Railgun Projectiles, Editting herself out of Video Camera footage in real time, induce chemical reactions, Control Iron Sand, Detect objects with an EM Radar, interfere with Laser Weapons, Enhance her own body with Bioelectricty, Defend against Mental Attacks via controlling her own Minds Bioelectricty, Propel herself with Magnetism, etc.

A very detailed essay rundown of the franchise below 😂
The Toaru franchise is split into three seperate series that all take place around the same time. A Certain Magical Index, A Certain Scientific Railgun and A Certain Scientific Accelerator. All take place in the fictional setting Academy City, modern day Japan.
    INDEX
"A Certain Magical Index" is the main storyline with Touma Kamijou, (spiky black hair boy) a Level 0 esper as the protagonist. He is considered the weakest of the weakest in the esper rankings. But he possesses Imagine Breaker, a strange phenomenon he's had since birth. Anything supernatural that comes into contact with his right hand will be negated. This is the reason for why the openings of Index seem to have shots that focus on his right hand.
Toaru is set in Academy City, the city of science where students develop psychic esper powers through medication and experimentations. When Touma meets Index, (the young silver hair nun in white robes) he learns she is a part of a magical organization in Europe and quickly finds himself in a massive world scale power struggle between science and magic.
The magic side is made up of the many different churches and other occult organizations around of the world.
Academy City, said to be 30 years scientifically advanced ahead of the rest of the modern world, is practically the face of the world of science.
    RAILGUN
"A Certain Scientific Railgun" is a spin off side series with Mikoto Misaka, (short brown hair girl with the coin) a Level 5 esper with the ability to control electricity, as the protagonist. Its kinda a slice of life, sci-fi thriller series where Misaka and her group of friends often get mixed up in the seedy underground shenanigans of the city.
With Index being the main story centred around the massive world scale conflict of magic vs science, Railgun is smaller and focused on the inner-city conflicts of the science side.
    ACCELERATOR
"A Certain Scientific Accelerator" is another side story centred around Accelerator (the white hair skinny boy), the first ranked Level 5 esper. Level 5 is the highest level in the esper ranking.. so he pretty much is ranked highly as the strongest esper in the city. He has the ability to transform and manipulate the vectors of anything he touches. Meaning he can practically control the direction and magnitude of anything he comes into contact with. That is fcking OP.
All three protagonists make small appearances in each other's series. But Misaka and Accelerator, aside from being the protagonists in their own series.. are also important main characters in Index.

Hunter hunter characters don't have that much iq to apply their power in creative ways meanwhile misaka has a quite good understanding of physics. Also her raw electrical output far outclasses killua.

Rundown of the Toaru series :
*Index* started in 2004. Due to being a fairly long series (reaching 60 novels rn) the light novel is split into 3 parts : Old, New, and Genesis Testament. Only Old Testament has received an anime adaptation as of now. Index handles all aspects of the world but goes especially deep on the magical side. A number of side stories branch off Index to explain specific events or situations.
*Railgun* is considered co-main series. A manga started in 2007, 146 chapters and counting, around the #3 Level 5 esper and her friends. Has received an anime adaptation up to two thirds of the way. Mostly in charge of the science side of the story.
*Accelerator* the #1 gets a weird spin off manga that ties both magic and science, but was poorly directed and ended some years ago. Thankfully the anime adaptation fixed most problems.
Then there are minor scientific series, some of which have their own fanbase.
*Idol Accelerator-sama* was a semi-joke that ended up being a great idea. No drama, no slaughter, just a 100% feel-good comedy that makes a better use of the cast than the actual show does.
*Dark Matter* is a one shot-manga on the #2 Level 5 to explain his messed-up backstory after popular demand.
*Dark Side's Item* is a LN just for the #4's messed-up backstory, gets a manga adaptation later this year which will likely sell for being the darkest in the science realm.
*Mental Out* is an ongoing manga on the #5 and her friends (seeing a pattern here) in a similar vein to Railgun.
*Astral Buddy* is a prequel to Mental Out and unironically the series at its best, developing an unnamed extra into one of the fan-favorites.
All of them except Idol Accel are canon and take place at the same time as the rest of the series, itself packed into six months of time in-universe. Thus there are often two or three stories running in parallel and the true joy of the Toaru fan is to see the small connections between incidents.

Railgun is not "co-main" since you dont need to watch Railgun to watch Index, it's just a canon side story, but you're right at the part that it's a good introduction to the franchise and its anime is as/more popular than the Index one

If you look back in Railgun's OP1, the part where the guy walks behind the girl by the vending machine is also in there. I like that both openings actually has the exact same scene but from different perspectives.
Also, I always thought electric powers were cool, but after watching Railgun and reading the novels, it just made me realize that my creativity was lacking. Even the usual magic in fantasy media looks bland and stale compared to how esper powers are used in this series.

Great reaction man, these openings are fire.
To answer a few questions, both the black haired guy (Touma) and the brown hair girl (Mikoto) debuted in Index's light novel first volume in 2004 (damn, it's almost 20 years old), but she was just there for 2 scenes and wasn't the focus, as the series went on she had more moments and gained popularity, so in 2006 the publisher asked for the author to draft her a spin-off manga. The Index anime came out in 2008, while Railgun came out in 2009. There is also one more anime in this series called "A Certain Scientific Accelerator", which is about the white haired skinny person (I say person because in the novels it's never stated nor it's clear if Accelerator is a boy or a girl). This anime came out in 2019 and it's focused on the title character, which is also one of the protagonists in Index, it only has one opening.
If you ever react to Accelerator's opening, I'd ask for you to react to the openings of the Toaru game: Imaginary Fest, it only has 2 openings and both are bangers.

Misaka Mikoto aka Railgun is way more powerful than Killua just in terms of raw electrical output alone. Killua can do and take about 1 million volts but Misaka can dish out and take over 1 billion volts. she has also been stated to move at near or at light speed on several occasions and she has complete control over her electricity to the point where she can move her joints when she is paralyzed just by altering her bio electricity to control her muscles. she has also used her control over magnetism to create a 6 million ton kaiju out of iron sand. if she were physically able to become a higher rank she could essentially become a god

bruh wtf are u talking about, misaka can't move at speed of light, I mean she got almost killed by Salome because she wasn't fast enough to fight her back.
Only saints and high level magicians like Knight Leader, Thor, Mjolnir, Marian, Carissa, The Maiden or Aleister can move a little bit faster than the speed of sound, let alone speed of light

    • @equ-ipe6893
      @equ-ipe6893 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@HerpyOwOdepend misaka railgun has been stated to be able to go at the speed of light 5 times but she still physically can’t move above Mach 2
But last lightning itself is Mach 100
Character like saints are at least by feats massively hypersonic + which is above Mach 100 but later statements say they’re only supersonic + to hypersonic so like Mach 9-11
Character like ollerus are stated to move in nanoseconds which should normally be light speed
