I have a full time job, a part time job, AND have time to take care of my yard and garden area. Just gotta get the motivation. Turn the tv off and get moving! My problem is finding time for a good exercise program, lol. The yard work covers part of it, though.
Ok, i did an hour and a half this am before watching this. Watching is my reward and motivation. She seems to have an endless supply of energy. Wish she was my daughter in law!

Iv owned chickens for many years, Make sure you plant non toxic plants near the wire. I planted herbs and pansy and the ever fav nasturtiums

If you will add a threshold board across your door opening that you have to step over when you go in, you will get a much more secure run. The door will close up against it at the bottom.
Wow - can't believe you did all that in 1 day! I have dreams of creating many beds in our yard so it was nice to see it come together. I think grass would be harder though and that's what I need to remove. Can't wait to see it all come together - and love the Russel time - always need a good snopervisor!

I’m so glad to see someone else put water in the hole before planting a tree! I had an arborist tell me years ago there was no benefit to doing that, but I chose to do it anyway.

We have just a small space around our home, enough for 3 raised beds and maybe someday a tiny greenhouse but if I could, I would get some chickens and a little chicken house. You might want to put something on the inside of the runs screen door to keep critters from digging under. Love your videos have gotten tons of ideas from you. You guys rock! From content to Aaron's editing. 🐈❤️
Laura, that was awesome. Love the long videos. I really admire how you are actually excited to shovel up that gravel. I looked at that and said "no way would I be motivated to do THAT." And you crack me up with that witch's brew of amendments and the tiller.
The chicken coop and run look fantastic. I love how the run's roof mirrors the coop. Perfect. It looks like a pergola. I'm not a fan of white but it looks really nice.
Love that you're installing a fan in the coop. Working electricity, running water and a fan? That's nearly unheard of in all the channels I follow (who raise chickens).
Look forward to seeing everything you plant there. I just KNOW there's going to be at least one hydrangea in that bed, lol.

OMG, Laura! You are amazing! I love working in my yard several times a week but you inspire me to want to do more. I wish I had a larger yard to work with...some day I pray. 🙏🏼 I love working in the yard so much that I help my mom and sister with their yards whenever I can. You worked so hard on those new flower beds and did it all while looking so beautiful. When I get out in my yard I look horrible especially when I’m done. I usually work up a sweat and have dirt on my face, body and clothing. I love your ideas with the flower beds around the chicken coop. It all looks amazing! The tree's location is perfect as it serves to anchor the chicken coup and will serve to define the end of the pallet walkway once you built out the second phase of the walkway. Love it!!

So sweet looking and beautiful, industrious as always! Can't wait for the flowers! So LOVE tiller advise! I love the "mommy safe" suggestions as I'd love to do as you do! More myself! Idea: As a former duck flock owner, i pass this along... Try screen doors on both shed doors. Aaron can make them, maybe stensil "phrases" on the wood for your brand of cuteness, ... with one internal to run screen door with a doogie door with a slip up and down closer plate. Even with all your nice current ventilaiton, the inside shed temp will be 10 degrees hotter than outside. Up high we cut two vent "windows" and added back the wood with hinges to close in winter, but you'll need ventilation for moisture, even in winter. Kitty litter in kitty boxes helps with condensation 'cuz mold can occur. Big rocks at edges are fabulous! Think snakes... may slip under outside coop door. Save old "ugly" pavers for inside coop. You are always so amazing! Maybe an ugly paver threshold at interior to exterior coop door esp. for future mud... You may have to gravel entire run floor eventually, cuz mud will be a problem on their feathers and feet. Or plant sod, extend your drip line inside with a gravel path to their door... Think you can chip back concrete with a big screw driver and your mallett. Shade cloth, yea! Enough from me! More from you! Would love to see "end of season" on your tulips so we can future shop.
