- Brenda tells Sonny that she needs him to be honest and tell her why he left. Sonny tells her about the dream he had the night before the wedding. He tells her he did it to save her.
They are super GORGEOUS in this scene. Sonny F'd up they could have been together with baby #2 on the way.
One of my favorite scenes. It's the kind of perfect closure that you rarely get to have with a great romance saga. Sonny was controlling and disrespectful and was something she shouldn't have stuck around for. But here he at least he has the decency to be honest and vulnerable.
Great scene! And I love Brenda's hair here. :)
Sometimes I think that if sonny and Brenda had got married, and Brenda had died that way, Sonny would not have recovered.

If he told her that he loved her and that's y he left, it would keep her strung along... and she begged him to tell her the truth and it didnt help her when he did... he should've just lied and said he didnt care abt her or love her... she would've really been able to move on...
So Sonny needed a dream to show him it could have been Brenda who died? He is such a mean coward. If he loved Brenda he would have never gotten back together with her after Lilly's death then dumped her at the alter like trash.
Sonny survived a long time on his own with a price on his head and if anything I thought he was a fool to not marry Brenda back than who wanted to runaway with him to start their lives together.
