It’s so odd because in 2010 when Robin runs into Brenda she convinces Brenda that she needs to reconnect with Sonny, and she convince Sonny that he needs to reconnect with Brenda… I’m guessing that Robin just thinks enough time is past that true love with prevail.

Sonny was gone for almost two years though we saw him every once in a while when jason needed him. Sonny coped to Brenda he was wrong back in 2002 and she said she finally understood why he left her. He did what he thought he had to do to protect her, leave. He knew that the thought of her dying because him would destroy him. Which can easily be seen when he thought she died. He knew he couldnt explain it to her because she would follow him wherever he went.
The moment lil Robin said Brenda was with J**, Sonny wanted her back. Lil Robin: She's in lo** with him. Sonny: (after his heart dropped ...salty) She told you that? Me: 🤣
@renneluvsme2 ICAM. Sonny left her without a word and expected Brenda to just understand his reasoning, but he had to know her insecurities would get the better of her. He left her standing in the rain and broke her completely. It was Jax who helped Brenda to pick up the pieces, and he gave her his friendship and space to finally grow up into a real woman when she realized she could have a life w/o being Mrs. Corinthos, and that led her back to Jax in 98 when GH was so awesome lol.

Sonny is the one who gave her pain, suffering, a mental breakdown and almost suicide. Sonny almost destroyed her and if Jax hadn't been in her life he would have killed her.
@@MyDymin Popping pills because Sonny's wife's father had her run over by a car. That's Sonny's fault not Jax. The only times Brenda was happy in her entire life were the times she was with Jax, and she did love him.

That is exactly the reason he came back and Robin explaining to him how Brenda lost her mind because of him didn't change his sadistic mind. His actions make no sense other than to hurt Brenda. He's still a gangster so why would he come back and want to put Brenda in danger again?
