This is actually why rumble run is so much harder than the other modes: blizzard balanced it around the assumption that the AI would play badly, so any time they don't it's just an unfair high-roll.
Exactly, when I saw the title I was like "But kripp, this AI is the only reason why I'm only losing 2 out of 3 time against the final boss"

@@Nariek314 well, the first time I didn't have the time to get to T6, he dropped a 6/6 flappy bird and got windfury, followed by a 5/6 pre nerf chain gang, second one he got mistwalker off.

I thought it was somebody played too much artifact lately.
The reason the AI did this is because the AI apparently can't tell the difference between which shrine it has. The play might make sense if it had the stealth spirit with the +attack death rattle.

Eviscerating their own shrine was a 200 iq play so that they would get it up a turn earlier and psyche you out
It doesn't get up a turn earlier if you kill your own shrine.
No shrine is too sacred to defile.

How come the AI never makes these kinds of plays when I'm playing the Rumble Run?
Man, against kripp this guy uses all of his spells for no reason. Against me he played that one 4 mana dragon that gets +1 spell power for each frozen minion into a blizzard against my full board and then slapped me in the face for a fresh 64 damage. Was my first time seeing this shrine so I didn't know he had such an option and if I did I wouldn't have went in so hard, but damn that was crushing.
Yeah kripp made insane mistake to kill shrine early so it will wake up on turn 6 just in the for blizzard. He just didn't get punished for it
Don't forget that the dude had like 5 frostfires and had a Malygos in his hand
That's 30 dmg for 0 mana

Best win was against Warlock with the Health for Mana loa. Used hellfire to wave clear with 7 HP.
I actually had one instant suicide on a round one match with the shrine.
I was gonna say I had it kill itself in the first few turns while I did nothing lol
Was against the armor refill boss, he played the 3-4 that reads "whenever you gain armor draw a card it costs 2 less". He later proceeded to kill himself for 12, and then 13 fatigue damage in the same turn (he took 91 fatigue damage that game)

I snorzed when the AI killed his own shrine
I had Lord Marrowgar steal my Auchenai Soulpriest, play it, then heal himself to death. Worst play I've ever seen
I've started playing rumbles a few days after it has come out since so this is probably already a well known thing, but my favorite interaction so far with this rumble is when you face the paladin as a warlock. If you have the shrine that deals damage to your opponent when you take damage on your turn, and the AI has the shrine that deals 5 damage to your hero whenever theirs takes damage, you can win on turn 1 by dealing literally any damage to yourself. I went into a laughing fit when I first encountered it.
And to think that Malacrass destroyed me with Malygos and all those frostfires 30 minutes ago...
It came as a surprise to me
If it wasn't for the bad AI, some of this would be straight up unbeatable. Round 1 malacrass could be insanely brutal, but instead he is just annoying

I once had a turn 4 lethal on the last boss. Was fighting the paladin one as a lock, which both had the enemy hero trigger. So instead of killing my shrine first, it went face right away. It was fun to see a few times on the first 2 bosses, but as a last boss is next level fail
The AI is programmed to PLAY cards not hold them for later.
That's plain simple.

That second one was quite weird. But I think my second game in that mode beats yours: I was playing against a Warlock with a shrine which makes spells cost health instead of mana. My opponent got low quite fast, so on turn 2 (or 3?), when they had 6 health remaining (second boss starts with quite low health), they suicided by played Hellfire.

Dungeon run was fun, second one was ok.This one i just don't want to play anymore. Won on my 3d try maybe. Got the card back. There is no structured progression or goal at all, they actually don't want us to play this. And this is so swingy. I can lose to first boss if i get some unfavorable shrine combo. And on the last boss it just gets ridiculous often.
I had one major Derp, first boss Jeklik with the Blood Pact Shrine. First round she plays 10 Mana worth of spells. Total suicide, over before I realised what had happened. I wish I had recorded it because it's probably unbelievable.
Krip I was wondering if you could ever make a video of you trying new minions in past expansions just to see how easy/ full of variations it has become

I’ve had a game where the enemy has the spells cost health. First turn, I guess it couldn’t do math because it lowered itself to 7 health then played hellfire. I had played two minions. It was bad...
The only thing I can think of is the AI wanting to reset the shrine health to 5 and even that is a really stupid thing to do vs just keeping the shrine to eviscerate face or something.

During a run of mine, I played against Battlecry Zentimo as the last boss.
He had me shocked in disbelief when he cast Earth Shock on his own Aya Blackpaw...

Had 2 of that rogue shrine which steals cards from the opponents deck. AI was in fatigue, so both shrines were useless. It kept attacking them anyway.
yeah I've seen the AI miss lethal in order to kill a shrine a few times
I found a huge bug when you play "Hir' eeks Hunger" against "Shirvallah's Vengeance". He hit me once and it went on a back and forth hero to hero damage until he lost all his health, while I lost none at all lulz. This all happen second turn in.
that's not a bug that's a perfectly legal interaction between those two shrines
hireek's hunger prevents then deals the damage you would have taken to the enemy's face
shirvallah's vengeance deals 5 damage to your face if the enemy takes damage, it doesn't redirect it so he still takes damage

litterally today i was playing monster hunt and the second boss had lethal on board (yes, i drew that badly) but used poison seeds instead, giving me more than 10 damage of overkill.

When I play: AI proceeds to do a back flip, pulls 1,000,001 pro gamer tactics out of it's ass and uses his shrine correctly

Could be the Loti with the armor shrine and Gonk decking herself out with up to 13 fatigue damage having 3 Spirit of the Raptors on her side for a few 1/1 silverhands.

I had an instance where the AI could play Shadow Vision for free, with the only spell being left in the Deck was Shadow Vision itself, resulting in the AI infinitely pulling the same spell from its deck, while obviously expecting different results (which is literally one of the definitions of insanity^^). After a good 10 - 20 rounds of "shadow visioning" some fail safe Blizzard programmed in luckily stopped the madness...
I had fucking hooktusk have 1 card left in the deck,play the lobster that draws spells,draw academic espionage and proceed to cast around 20-30 spells resulting in a full boardclear and me almost dead from full hp

Blizzard should have a hard mode (for a little extra money) for all their adventures- one to give players a real tough challenge and two to prove they can actually program AI.

I had an great ai as well. He had leathel on board so he started to hit me but i totem deal 5 dmg to face when my hero is hit... and he killed himself

Well, as someone who actually knows what's involved in programming one, this is as good as it gets(without an absurd amount of work put into it) without self learning.
And if they did that us humans would never win.
Zul'jin in Rumble Run basicly has the hero power of Rexxar, I've never seen him target anyhting else than face with it

Whenever an enemy is frozen, put a "Frostfire" into your hand. Frostfire is a 0 mana deal 1 damage spell.
whenever you freeze a target add a frost fire to your hand (Frostfire is 0 mana deal 1 damage)

i think its the double altar that made the AI go bonkers.
there's an over focus on the shrine but I've never encountered a dumb as fuck AI that killed it's own.
Ok, I have played this quite a many times and never the has AI killed his/her own minions or killed itself or anything that level stupid. Are we playing the same game? But clearly it wasn't coded properly against two shrines, especially the ones with high health, it just doesn't understand how to deal with those and burns the spells on them all day.

I find that the free hero power mage is perhaps the funniest opponent. always missing the last hits and so on.
Loads of times I've seen that one just go batty on order. Like do ine damage with hero power then finish it with a minion instead of the other way round or play the minion with the "refresh your hero power" battle cry before using the power.
Hex Lord Malacrass with the Frostfire Shrine is just plain stupid, he doesn't know how to play his deck. If played by a real human, such a deck would destroy anything.

This AI is really stupid. My run, 4th boss. I had Gonk's Armament Shrine vs Jan'alai's Mantle Shrine. I used all my cards and Malacrass had 7 HP, I had only 1 card on hand Ferocious Howl. Malacrass Played Lorewalker Cho and Archmage Antonidas. Next turn he played Firelands Portal, and I had spell to kill him.

I see people justifying the bad AI by saying that if they weren't bad, they would be broken because their decks are too good.
I would prefer a perfect AI with a standard deck to a mediocre AI that can highroll with broken cards.
My best screwed up ai was he has 5 hp i have a 5/5 on board he went face with his 5 6/6 minions no taunts which gave me a game i wasent supposed to win
