I had 2 uncles in the 101st.that went in on D-Day.
HI Charles, that's really interesting. Do you know much about their service? What regiment were they in?
They never talked about their service and didn’t keep their uniforms. I wish they would have kept something. Rather sad.
Ah, that's a shame. Completely understandable though I guess. Really pleased they both made it home.

Not all units were used Let down rope. They were issued to most airborne divisions in 1944. 505th regiments didn’t use them in Normandy but in sicicly
Yeah, the uniform we're showcasing here is the 506th. It's amazing how intricate and different each unit was.
Good video. Covered all important areas of the kit.Just be mindful of overusing the word “obviously” a lot.
