- We’ve tried a few systems and keep coming back to the Hettich Wingline. It works well and it’s reasonably priced compared to the crazy prices I was getting quoted for systems from Hafele!

Thanks for this. As far as I can tell this is the only "how-to" for the Hettich Winglines. Hettich in general doesn't appear very popular here in the US, but it's perfect for a custom cabinet project I'm working on.

Great video. Thanks for making, and especially for showing your mistakes and actually demonstrating how you remedied the problem. Being able to watch the mistake allows your viewers to pay careful attention to that step in the process and try to avoid the same problem. This is very valuable to new diy'ers. I’ve have a fitted wardrobe job to install shortly requiring bi-folding doors. There’s some good tips in there for the installation, which is more informative than the info I can find online from Hettich. Thanks for the info!

Such a helpful video, I want to do exactly the same with the folding door onto my larder cupboard in the kitchen. I need to use this exact fitting - I have been searching hettich wingline but it’s not clear what I need to buy. I can see the hinges but not the runner... is there anyway you would be able to point me in the direction of being able to purchase this exact kit? X thank you
Hi I always contact hettich’s technical department to specify what’s needed as there are a lot of factors. Try them on 0161 872 9552 if you are in the UK

Great vid! Do you know how much weight the Hettich system can support per wing (door)? Looks like they could work nicely for a cupboard I'm making, but doors will probably be double the size of the ones here.
richardmcasson hi, I don’t know but I know there are lots of variations and I recommend doing what I always do as a first port of call - phone the technical department! They are they to help you choose the correct spec. Phone hettich on 0161 872 9552 in the uk. Ask for Jim Eid if you want the top expert but he might have retired now! The others may give you a brief answer which may not be a bad thing 😁
@@Alastair_Freebird done and turns out the answer is 25kg per panel max. So if it was replicating the set up you installed here, with four panels, it'd be 100kg max. Impressive!

The best Hafele could offer me was something from the overpriced Swiss Hawa range. Because I needed 2 sets this was going to cost something like £600, I kid you not. The Hettich Wingline fittings sets cost £12.50 each from Lawcris (Left and Right) plus £5.75 for the aluminium profile plus a minimum order charge of £20 plus VAT = £60.90 which sure sounded like a good deal after speaking to Hafele!

Alan just call Hettich Technical on 0161 872 9552, explain the intended use, door sizes etc, and they will give you the right codes
Guys, I've used bifold system which is much more easy to fit from Decoranddecor, London based company. Check it out their website.

Great video. Can you please recommend me a Blum hinge to replace for cross corner cabinet door ? Full overlay. The replacement I have used is not closing the door all the way. Thanks.

Thanks for this. I’ve got a 1475 high cupboard 1200 wide and want 4 leaves bifolding to one side ie 4@1475x295 doors. Would this system do that or is two doors their maximum??
The best approach is always to contact Hettich directly with your needs, they have a technical department who are happy to help specify things
Thank you for your help year ago :) Can you tell me if there is any way to use this system with ' inflame ' kitchen ( dresser unit type set up ) Hettich says no .. but .. I don't get why not ? Do you know if I could use this system in a clever way or another system that will work with inframe ?
I would have thought you could make it work if you treat the face frame as an add-on around the outer extents of a carcase built with overlay doors
@16:50. My son and my bf has a terrible habit of rushing, and things end up all messed up as a result. They are both contractors and should know better. It's so frustrating, especially when they are working on my house. I keep telling them they end up spending more time on it, and they end up having to do it twice when they rush through, yet they still don't listen. So I took a vid of this 30 second clip @16:50 in your vid and sent it to them. You should make a video with just this advice!!! So many people need it badly!!!!

Fantastic, Really appreciate your time doing this. I have a single bi-fold door very similar size for a clients kitchen wall cupboard I built into a wall. Which item number was this, though I will need a flush door within the carcass, so no overlap, will this model work? Thanks again, great vids👍🏻

The only thing is you didn't tell us how far to measure down from the top of the door .Where to locate the hole for the roller hinge .You said how far to come in from the edge of the door 5mm but not a height . Can you please tell me how you calculated how far to come down from the top of the door .

Hi I can’t remember now but all these details are in the Hettich literature that comes with the hardware so this video can serve as an introduction to give you confidence in what to expect, then you will be able to work out the finer details using the guide with the hardware

Excellent video Alastair, I am bifold door for living room partition. Does hettich system provide any such fittings, are they efficient in use and are they cost effective? also does it depends on the weight of the doors?
Hi, thanks, yes the system varies for the weight and size of the door. I think Hettich focuses on systems for (thinner) wardrobe doors but you should be able to search for your local hettich outlet and call their technical advice line
Excellent informative video. Searching for a bifold option for cloakroom doors and this has been most helpfull. Do you have the contact details of your suppliers?
You can look up Hettich Uk online and ask for distributors. Most recently I bought via Lawcris in Leeds. But Hart wholesale can probably get hold of their stuff too: www.Blum.org, give them a ring because their new website isn’t a good reflection of all their stock

Cheers for that. I haven’t come across these before. I got a new book for a customer and the first thing they picked were the heitich L bi fold. No I have a good idea how to install. I was afraid I needed to adjust the carcass before I saw your video.
