Fort Morgan is probably going to be the most financially accessible town to live in. Plus, because it's on the eastern prairie, it has the best views of the Rockies. Idaho Springs is very small but sits right beside I-70, which means it is ALWAYS noisy - 24/7, 365 days a year! On the plus side, the highway breaks up the feeling of isolation, and there are plenty of busses to Denver and back, so you don't need a car to get by!

Cost of living is over the top. Colorado is a solid blue ( California type) government. Being over run by border illegal. A beautiful state to visit. As seniors, it is tough financially . Loved it years ago, lived being raised here but way, way different. Who are you and who gave you the right to open our State open to more influx of democrats.
We lived just outside of the northern Colorado Springs city limits in an area called Gleneagle for 9 yrs. Absolutely loved it.

Love retired in Eagle, but lately I-70 always have closure almost everyday due to rollover accident especially in the rainy day/ snow day .
Crime rates are ridiculous in Pueblo
