    Great first bit of advice, then the moment you put it in the compression bag and nothing happens...
    priceless...

    • @epickites
      @epickites  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you mean nothing happened!!!! When we put the straps around and tight the bag, the kite was more compact then before. So we were able to make it 20% more compact them before.

      I know right. Was hardly much smaller

    • @epickites
      @epickites  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@strawberryxcow9215 If you want the kite to be packed smaller then you can tight the straps even more then what you see on the video. But for the video I decided to keep the bag not too tight so it looks presentable. 👍

    Nice one! I'm really curious about bladder valves and why they glue and don't weld them on. Be neat to see a bladder construction video too.

    Keep in mind
    The pressure in the bag is damaging the kite. Of course if you need it that small and so compressed it is ok - just to be aware of the other side of the coin. This is a good tip, to use in emergency situation. Like you have only room for 2 kites but want to put 3 or 4..

  • @davidbrown1060

    Tip to tip and roll. I achieve what u did in 25knots in 10 secs. The correct way to get it smaller is not the way shown. Hard to explain but its done like a map in the right spots so the curvature of the trailing edge and of the leading edge are removed first. The folds are alternated between the struts and leading edge as the kite is folded up.
    The way shown is inefficient due to inconsistent thickness in the roll at the trailing and leading edge, when folded you end up with a springy mess rather than a flat origami kite package that is about 15% smaller.
    The way i have described is how ive seen top brands do it for years to minimise shipping size.

    • @epickites
      @epickites  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahahahaha...very funny. One thing you need to know David is that the smaller you make your kite the worst it is for the kite, especially if you plan to keep your kite in the bag for a long time. Just so you know, you don't want to pack your kite too small because the bladders will get damage. Plus the way I showed you how to fold the kite was in the factory were they make the top 13 kite brands.

    Easy to get the air out by using suction from the pump.

    • @epickites
      @epickites  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do that also if you want. Even better if you want you can take a vacuum cleaner and suck out all the air out. It is all up to you how you want to remove the air from the kite.

  • @gboates
    @gboates 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Squeegeeing out the air using two hands is the fastest way to empty a strut. Rolling like is shown can’t be good for the tenacity of the fabric.

      Only 5 to 6 hours!!!!! My Grandmother does that. You need to kite more then that my friend. Also if you are not going to kite for a long time I recommend to pack your kite the way you see in the video so you don't damage the bladder. Because rolling it is fast but in the long run it will damage the bladder.

      You're too good my champion.... If you look my sentence, i wrote + and i take a break 1 time not 10 times like you during the day. Also, I not only ride. Instructions: you need 3 ungry Chinese factory workers, 2 large pieces of wood and the boss drilling your brain to fold a kite.
    LOL.
    Thanks goodness today's kites are lighter and compact and you don't need to compress and roll your kite to fillout the air inside gravity help a lot.
