  • It’s normal for the bar lines to shrink or stretch after some period, so it is definitely good to know how you can adjust the length of your lines. In this episode you will see everything you have to know for trimming your bar lines efficiently.
I accidentally didn't mention 6 names in the Credit at the end of the episode, they helped me a lot and I have to mention their names at least here in the description:
    Eric Brüngger
    Jaksa Cvitanic
    Yohan Burel

My first kite was a Cabrinha and it was very dangerous to fly since it would dive to the right side. Tried different bars and the problem was still there. Measured all the bridles and they were perfect. At the end sold the kite for 100usd warning the buyer of the issue.

yes exactly about this I have been mentioning in the beginning of this episode, unfortunately the best option is to get a new kite.

The tip at 4:18 has really helped me to align my frontlines at the Navigator Bar again. A double loop at the pigtails was just a bit too much, so I made a double loop at the connection of the 12 and 10m line. Is the double loop between thin line and another thin line also ok? Or will this have any bad impact on the maximum loads? Do you have any experience with this? Thanks!!

Great, happy to hear that :)
A normal knot on the thin line is definitely not good, as I experience couple of times broken lines. If there is a double loop on the thin line, honestly I didn't test how well would hold and I'm not having the intention on testing it 😅 I believe any knot on thin line is critical.

@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar I can confirm this. Most knots weaken the line by 50%. A simple loop as well.

Are you not forgetting to check if there is tension (undesirable tension) on the safety line? This has been the case with many older bars (airush, duotone, old north, f-one) that I have tuned. I would check that together with front line symmetry, before adjusting steering lines.

Hey Albert, do not worry I’m definitely not forgetting about it ;) you have probably missed my previous episode “TRIM AND SYMMETRY CHECK”?
In that episode I have been talking about the safety line getting shorter 🙌🏼

Only one observation was missing. Do this entire process parallel to the wind. If there is a lot of side wind, all the work could be in vain. 🤗

hehe, maybe even better to say to do it in wind shadow or when there is no wind :)

Name it properly, please, „some quality brands“: it was cabrinha: their kites (a had drifters) were just distorted and unridebale after only two weeks!!!! Brand new kites!!!! And i‘ve heard of this problem from many riders all over the world!!!! That is (amond other problems) why cabrinha is almost not existing any more. We will see how the new 2023 series work.

      @kitesurfexperiencebypetar  ปีที่แล้ว

Exactly, with Cabrinha I experience it, I believe it was with models 2019, I sow it on Moto and FX, now I hear from you that even Drifter had this problem.
Yes Cabrinha was quite last years, but from this year they invested a lot and I believe they are on good track again.

Perhaps you should learn how to kite.
Been riding cabrinha for 10 years now. Never had any issue with cabrinha

I had the same problem with the switchblade 9 2015 and fx 8 2018. Switchblade 12 2015 and my 2021 drifters are ok. Maybe if they pass the first miles, they work 😊
