Thanks for great videos, helps inform the newbie to Lanzarote! I have just booked flights on a whim. But looking for a quiet area/hotel - do not want to walking down “strips” of British bars etc. any ideas where this might be in Lanzarote? We like a beach but we arent completely set on it. We prefer a nice town with a few Spanish bars/restaurants.
Probably Costa Teguise, 20 minute drive from the airport. It's quieter with more Spanish atmosphere. Pueblo Marinero is the center of Costa Teguise with market during the daytime. Let's serch for more vdo and see if you like it or not 😍
Puerto Del Carmen is rather like Gt Yarmouth in the sun. Perfectly nice, but mainly tourist bars and eateries..... with plenty of indian and chinese restaurants.... so probably not what you're looking for..... but a really easy place to be on holiday and actually quite to my taste. A less highly developed resort is Playa Blanca. I think that costa teguise, mentioned by other people, IS quieter than P.D.C. and a little more authentic - but really only a little more authentic. BUT, I adore the Canaries for their easygoing atmosphere and temperate but warm climate. (no 40'C heatwaves on islands) - there are no bad places to go in Lanzarote.
But Pueblo Marinero was built (it's a pretend fishing village) as a tourist attraction, designed by the Canary Islands wide famous Cesar Manrique. @@getawaycation So it is a tourist attraction - just one that has a little more character than most.
Have not been to this one yet, but it might be one for next year
