    Finally, someone who has a pool worse than mine. My cover was damaged in a late winter storm and I have tons of leaves. It has been a nightmare. All of the videos I have watched so far have pools that are just cloudy and they're really not that helpful for me. Thanx!

    No. Not really. I have done this for many years. I can show you pictures if you like. Flocculant comes after you have dramatic change and just need to get the extra solids to come together and drop while recirculation mode or cartridge out of filter. Vacuum 12-24 hours after. If excessive heat where you live start at sun down and vaccum next morning.Proceed to get chemicals in order and bam. The beginning phase with shock and algeside, and most important, phosphate remover in the most concentrated form you can find;
    Only works if you have atleast 80-90 percent debris out of pool. If not, you are throwing money down the drain. It is literally impossible for you pool to look like this if you did the first steps in cleaning unless you are at 160-300 cya

      The water left behind will still be green and foggy, and still need chemicals in order to settle and be vacuumed later.

      I used it in ponds. It cuts oxygen so the algae dies then clumps together drops to the bottom but you need to have the pumps going so it can collect in the filter. you need to clean those filters alot so they dont clog.

    • @grapplerguy2007
      @grapplerguy2007 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dw3403 incorrect. it drops the "dead" algae to bottom its chemical makeup is aluminum sulfate it creates an oil and water effect aluminum sulfate binds the dead algae and drops it down as aluminum is heavier than water. his did not drop as its floating on top. this can be from a combination of too much floc and algae not being killed off first. we always flock sand filters in recirculate on day 2 after we get the cloudy blue stage.

    • @grapplerguy2007
      @grapplerguy2007 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@rocketplex8818 its aluminum sulfate it binds to the dead algae . if you use it in a green pool with lots of algae it just makes it float like this or using more dosage than needed. this never sunk down stayed floating guarantee it . I flip about 20 pools a summer in texas. I only floc to speed up the process its ultimately not needed. its been a lifesaver flipping sand filter pools when the sand is very old .

    The Best Option is just FILL in the Pool. Pools actually Do Not bring Value into a Property anymore. At One Point years and years ago, YES it did increase the Value of A Property. But Not anymore, As all Pools are a MONEY PIT. More and More People every year are Removing above ground or Filling in Below Ground Pools Cause it just Costs alot to Maintain them.
    So its just Better to Remove/Fill in pools. Get a Nice Lawn going or Turn pool into a Pond with Lilies and maybe Fish. Seen people do that to them too. But again Pools are just Not worth having anymore.

      Work hard play hard. I dont even notice the cost. 50 a month in chems tops. 150 to heat and pump. People spend more on takeout and alcholism a week. Grab a good trade and take care of your stuff. All this extra you are going on about sums it up though

      You sir, are absolutely right!!! I couldn’t agree with you anymore!!! Don’t listen to the naysayers. I will agree that a swimming pool can be a money pit. But they don’t have to be. However, you can do what you want with the money you make because it is your money. And just as long as it isn’t effecting others negatively and it brings you happiness and joy, then who in the hell cares??? It really should not matter to anyone other than the one who is doing it!!! Now, if the guy posting about filling in your pool because of your home values being lowered had a decent job then he too could have a house with a pool that didn’t cost him an arm and a leg to maintain and operate. Now just keep in mind that the rest rest of this comment, or most of it anyways is for the “Negative Nancy” up there that made the original comment. Although I’m sure you can decipher what is for him and what is for anyone else reading this. Do you know what’s more of a money pit, as well as a guaranteed loss, than a pool??? A brand new car!!! And everyone has a new car, right? Not me… I don’t!!! But that is my prerogative and ultimately my decision. Want to know what I do have though??? I do have a pool. And honestly speaking, my wife and I could go get 2 or 3 new cars right now, if I wanted but I don’t want the note and the massive depreciation that comes with it just as soon as you sign the papers. Just signing the papers… you ain’t even gotta drive it off the lot!!! But guess what??? If someone works and they want something that will bring them happiness, even if others see it as being wasteful and/or a money pit, then so be it and more power to them. At the end of the day, whether you like it and/or agree with it or not, it is ultimately their money and their decision to make. And they will have to accept the consequences and live with the results if it does or does not pan out very well in the end. Furthermore, any and every thing, be it an old penny or a home with a swimming pool, is worth what someone is willing to pay for it even if he market value is lower or higher. So, let’s just say that there is a house with a swimming pool and the asking price of $100,000. I may be overly willing to pay $100,000 for that house, whereas you may only be willing to pay $80,000 for that very same house. And in todays market, you may have multiple cash offers that come in well over the asking price just to ensure that the person gets the house. So someone may come in and say, “I’ll pay $120,000 for this house and out bid everyone else sitting there with a bank note in their hands. Here it is that someone was willing to pay $40,000 more than what you were willing to offer just because, in your mind, the pool made it “not as valuable” to you and on the flip side of that, it made the house “more valuable” to someone else. So, again, everything is worth what someone is willing to pay… NOT nessicerilly what you and/or I may think it is worth. If you want an even better example of this, go tune in to the “Barrett Jackson Automobile Auction and Google the value on some of the cars that roll across and see just how much more or less someone is willing to pay for any particular car. It’s going to be all over the board. Way high on some and way low on others. Hope this helps!!!
