Flocculant and clarifier aren't the same thing make sure whatever u got says "Flocculant" if it doesn't say Flocculant but only clarifier u got the wrong product.
Hi, it's a great video. I got a question about the floc, please help me out. I accidently let the floc dust went into my filter for 8 hours. How can i clean the floc in my sand filter? Thank you.
My pool chemistry is fine, put the flocking in left overnight as instructed. Pool is really cloudy still in fact worse than it was! I’ve called in a pool expert and given up I’ve been two weeks trying to get this pool right, now we have a heat wave, and I can’t swim!
We have a cartridge filter and The thing that finally fixed it was a deep cleaning of the cartridge in a muriatic acid soak. Now we’re running the filter with a skimmer sock over the filter basket to try to catch any residual. Still trying to vacuum it all up. 🤦🏻♀️
just keep running the pool it should clear.. mixing ph up in water first can help to stop this happening if you need to add alot... adding a clarifyer might help to.
Recirculation, especially if you have sand pump. U never want to run it on filteration with floc in it or ur sand will look like kitty litter, all clumped. It will ruin ur sand filter. You want to wait for it to settle 1-2 days and then slowly vacuum all that dead algae and debris to waste along with that floc. Then let it filtrate for a few days to see if the rest will clear.
I've used the flocc and let it sit for 24 hours wnd vac to waste and its still very cloudy. My ph and chlorine are within range and I have a sie way test kit that I have no idea how to use for testing the other things
I shocked and then used flocculant and it still didn't work. I think the algae is not killed. What do I do now? How do I get the algae killed? I've already shocked and used baquacil algicide.
Nope tried it 2 times doesnt work waited 3 days still cloudy .level chemistry perfect no clue ready to close it!! Vaccum 2times a day pump is running 24/7 still cloudy no algae in pool .i m clueless what to do next
@milanbukorovic1469 i know I had it off for 4 hours waited 3 days total to see if it would clear up pool because flocculant said 24 to 78 hours to drop but it didn't drop now my pool is milky and yellow hairy crap on bottom of pool .I've been trying to vacuum to waste to get rid of it only problem is my pool will half drain by the time I vacuum a quarter of it up then my chemistry is screwed up again I'm about to close it til next year then drain it and start over I ve spent $1500 in chemicals this year and my pool is still cloudy
Why are you showing a robot when you refer to vacuuming to waste? Once I realized I cannot vacuum to waste, I ran my robot (before seeing this) for about 3 cycles hoping to clear it up. Yeah, um, no, no good. Plus I've run my cartridge filter for a few hours too (shot right through and out the return in the pool). Same here--hot, sunny, but can't swim. Help! There's got to be a way to solve this. There's bound to be lots and lots of people who are stuck in the same situation. So ultra frustrating! Btw, I did not realize it was flocculant, just thought it was a 2-step super-shock. :(
I did. I literally had to open the canister filter, take the cartridges out and use the pump to vacuum the settled floc from the bottom of the pool with the filter open, straight into the yard. Gotta do it as fast as possible too, because I had to replace many inches of water. Then rinse the cartridges really good, put it all back together and remember to never ever do that again!
I’m hoping you are right! Going to try! Driving me crazy!
My water chemistry is balanced, but the floc did not work. What else could cause this?!
Flocculant and clarifier aren't the same thing make sure whatever u got says "Flocculant" if it doesn't say Flocculant but only clarifier u got the wrong product.
Helpful video, thanks 🏊♂️

I have the same issue . How did you get this resolved??
@@dairafeliz4730 same here, but it ran for an hour
Same here..how was it resolved?

I shocked and flocked and it isn't sinking 36hrd later... should I shock again on recirculate?
I had to add a lot of PH Up to balance my pool and this has left a white cloudy substance that resists flocculant. What now ? Thanks.

what if you cat see the bottom what should you set pump to

Ur pump is not supposed to be working when u add the flocculant it needs to work on recirculate for 5 hours then turn it off for 24 hours

Ty! Very helpful!!
No problem!

did you use one of those flexible blue hoses used for DE filters?@@tiffaniebell-sprinkel367
