That shows how solid those LS engines are, I have an 09 C6 and don’t plan to ever sell it. Also, he saved that girl a lot of money on labor charges, you can imagine the money a repair shop would have charged. All it needs now is an alignment. Good stuff teaching her that. Her turn to help you out now…giggity…
they are just be aware of o ring on pickup, cam bearing, lifters and barbell seal. ive fixed a lot. they are solid but dont do what some owners did and stick their head in the sand
This was awesome! 1500 miles to help a friend. The world needs more people like you! I honestly don't know much about cars especially Vettes or BMWs but dang I like your channel. Keep up the great content!
Wow Colin! That was mighty nice of you, to travel 1500 miles to fix a car in miserable weather conditions. I sure hope she compensated you 😉for your efforts.
The comments on this one are gold. Straight up tho.. Wish I had a couple wrenching buddies like you so we could drive our clapped cars around together and lend a hand here and there. Bleeding clutch cylinders solo kinda sucks 😂 you seem like a solid dude and happy to support your channel. Keep it up my guy.
That big ol thing you found on the beach is called bull kelp! They grow off the ocean floor and float up near the surface of the water, they suck to hit when you're surfing
Nice of you to go help a friend 1500 miles away…nice score on the C6…you know that was once someone’s pride and joy. Interesting color combo…hope you are able to bring it back to its glory.
Um, pretty sure every American car before 72 was rwd.... my 51, and 54 are rwd, no power brakes or power steering. People actually knew how to drive back in the day. People are just dumb and spoiled now with awd abs traction control and so on.
This channel is sick!!! I know it’s harder than it looks on the channel but I hope you get to fix that vette it can be the smallest things to break it lol good luck!!👍🏽
As always, very generous of you to help a friend in need. I won't whine about lack of cat content based on your inclusion of super cute dog content, thank you for that. Can't wait to see which vehicle you're in the market to pick up. P.S. Your lady friend is a cutie patootie. 😁
Bro Colin your luck rubbed off on me I bought a charger rt a few months back no problems at all then I discovered your channel an been binge watching all your videos cause your a likeable dude but you kinda have some hard luck on some of your projects so out of the blue my steering wheel started feeling tight an binding electric power steering pump going out $800 part $200 used so I bought used hope it works anyway have a safe drive back home thanks for the content
Hey bud, I had a c7 and I’m sure the c6 is the same. When you pull off the fuse or power from the window it needs to relearn the limit for it to do the auto drop and raise. Super simple just lower the window all the way and raise it all the way but keep the raise button pulled for a few seconds for the module to learn the max height. Loving your videos
Hey bro I know you're still fixing it up but I've seen how much love you put into fixing up your stuff If you ever decide to get rid of the corvette I'd be interested in it
You have to index the windows for them to come up and down a little when you open and close the door. Usually after you disconnect the battery or something you have to index them. Pretty easy to find a video on TH-cam on how to do it. It’s very simple but I can’t remember the exact steps right now.
I have an 05 c6 with the same limp mode issue… after replacing the gas pedal and tb I replaced both connectors to each one and all the wiring all the way up to the computer. Soldered 6 inches from the computer connection I would verify wiring is correct too between the pedal the tb and the computer using a multimeter. This fixed my issues and it never came back.
If I’m looking at acquiring a vehicle, and I see the electrical/wiring has been messed around with its 2strikes against it automatically. Electrical is difficult to repair, difficult to find anyone skilled enough to repair it who is willing to work on it. Nothing worst than screwing around for a week, then going cap in hand to your best mechanic an and asking them to spend time on it. Modern vehicles are dependent on ecm,pcm,tcm….. so having electrical issues is a scourge.
Back when I owned a Subaru Legacy station wagon it had a problem with the knock sensor, that used to put the engine in limp mode. When it went into limp mode it had no power. Now I don't know which car got more work done on it during the video, the vet or the Break My Wallet ;)
Reason why your windows are intermittently creeping up is the door latch is either gummed up with dirt or is going out. Had the exact same identical problem. Get some electronic cleaner to clean the sensor pad if it’s dirty.
Bro i live in Lincoln City and have more cars than you. We should meet lol. I literally just found your channel in December and was telling my wife that im going to hit you up and see if youd be down to host me if i came down to meet you and help you finish a few of your projects lol (car camping dont worry. No butt touching) Now i would like to offer my place for you to camp out. Im in Otis, just East of Lincoln City. You probably drove past my shop. Love the vids dude. Hit me up if you want to meet a likeminder. Stay rowdy....
We used to have a 2009 c6, for the auto up/down windows to be fixed we had to reprogram them. We'd have to fix them anytime the batteries would die or be disconnected.
More like 1500 miles in simp mode
Limp mode guaranteed on the way home after squeezing all that gasket out the tube
Right

Mystery solved!!!
If you role the window all the way up and then hold up for about 5 seconds it should reindex the windows to go up and down on open
Never seen you so happy it's either the hello kitty or the tunes

I drove through a bunch of snow in Utah
You can drive thru snow with rwd wtf

beautiful drive/scenery! I love the C6 vette, thank god its the 6 speed manual!
You usually have to “relearn” the power windows when you change switches and things. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case with the vette
You gave the corvette the road trip test drive . One way to test on stuff !
This man is thirsty I’m sure she gave you some water
