Don't worry you aren't alone. All F2P I've seen have gotten stuck on some lesson ranging from lesson 16 to anything above. Completely normal, I'd recommend doing the hard lessons to level up your cards.
Lesson 4? I've seen people failing on lesson 16 but lesson 4 may be a bit too early to struggle. Have you skipped any battles and have you been collecting your rewards?
