The lowest end model I could find that matched the x900h in picture quality, brightness, contrast and blacks was the Q80 and its nearly 1000 dollars more than the x900h. I have been into two different Best Buy stores and a Conn's looking at TVs and everytime, I get the same experience. The Q70 is disappointing to look at, the X950H is incredible, and the X900H is the best bang for your buck, especially if you're a gamer. Basically, the Samsung has less blooming but at the expense of black crush. I have an x950h and the flaws are quite noticeable, and Android TV is junk. You will notice the blooming in a dark room, and the corners of the TV are also dark. I don't have first hand experience with the Q80, so I don't know if it's any better. It seems to also have dark corners but not quite as bad as the Sony. I'm considering returning my TV for the Q80. But no TV is perfect, they all have compromises.
Game mode on this TV handicaps local dimming, giving it a washed out image (see HDTVTest). Please install the brand new firmware update to see if Game mode has been improved. Thanks.
Can anyone, ANYONE, please tell me why the dialogue is so low, and the sound effects so damn high on mine?? Amplify helps only very slightly, and no other sound options (the like, 3 there are) make any difference. Depending on what in watching, it's unlistenable. Crank it up to hear dialogue, actions deafens me. Turn it down so I don't kill my eardrums, can't hear a thing they're saying. And there's no help whatsoever on the internet. Everything I find talks about an option the q80t doesn't have.
Well I need a tv only for gaming with PS5 and I'm really confused between Q80T and X900H.. Q80T obviously has better picture quality and lower input lag.. but people are saying that in game mode the local dimming of Q80T gets worse and this is where X900H stands out.. I don't know how true this is.. would really appreciate if you could clear this out.. thanks(◕ᴗ◕✿)

Buy when I walked into Best Buy and saw the Q70 (which was my first choice based off what I saw online) I was surprised at how dull it looked. I even had the sales associate double check to make sure I was looking at the right TV. Even the sales associates tell me the same thing: the Q70 is not worth what Samsung has it priced at, and its quality is not what previous generations have been.
I have several hours in stores looking at these tvs and comparing them with people who know the tech and the overall consensus is the same. The Q80, dollar for dollar, can't compete with the X900H, and the Q70, is subpar for what it's priced at.
Hi on the Currys website it says it upscales everything to 4k.
Does it upscale normal TV channels like itv and blaze etc to 4k?
Thanks
Hey! Sorry if it was mentioned or answered already, does it come with a hdmi 2.1 cabel? If yes, how long? :)
yes, its invincible tho.
You can get this TV for a bargain on the student/employee site at the moment, it's 20% off the already reduced price
Can you elaborate on "the student/employee site". What do you mean?
@@m3sid the Samsung EPP store, if you work for a company that offers Samsung discount, or for the NHS (bluecard) or are a student for example, you can get 20% off.
The Q80T 65" is currently £1200 through this site
Hi. Is it possible to watch 4K movies from the USB port of q80?
I use a Sonos soundbar will this fit under the tv?
Should i get the q90T or q80t? I will play ps5, watch Netflix and amazon prime and will watch local dish. Which one will be the best value for money?
Of correct the q90t is better in anyway against the q80t the point is how much money can you spend and I would prefer for anybody to wait for prices to drop since the big holidays are coming
I have a 2018 £700 Samsung TV. Wondering if I should upgrade to this now I’ve got a PS5 but wondering if it’s even worth it. Not too bothered about the 120hz, just want even better quality and colours.
will this 80T be MUCH BETTER than my "old" KS8000? some people seem to say NO...I know the nits are lower in this 80T (do I really have to "upgrade" to the 90T?)...argh...
thanks...
Can you add apps like Nova TV on the Tizen software?
Nice review just picked this up yesterday for £809 if you know someone or are/were in the armed forces and have a defence discount card you can get 10% off through Samsung.
Hello, are there any other 120Hz Samsung 4k TVs in the 50" range that has everything that this one has but DOES come with the Anti-Glare? I'd really appreciate your assistance on this... THANK YOU and have a great day!
What settings did you use?
Would you suggest a larger sized Q80T (75-85”) or a smaller Q95T (55-65”) for gaming and overall living room performance? Great video!
I have the 55 inch and I play my ps4 pro on it (Ill play the ps5 once I can actually find one) and I think any bigger would just be overkill. The picture is absolutely amazing. Im very happy with the buy.
Q70t is the best for the buck TV at the moment , this is a 1.400 euro monitor while the Q70T is less than 700 euros .
i got it with 900€
Please Review Q70A
Hi mate, any DSE on sports or when playing games?
None noticed
what do you suggest between this one and the LG BX?
Samsung
Got this tv and have inverted colours when game mode is on with game motion plus disabled. Any help appreciated. Thanks
Ryan-leave it off which is what I do. What box do you have xbox series X or PS5?
Nice review
Sorry also any idea what the true refresh rate Hz is?
Some reason the Amazon UK store says it is a 60hz panel. Are all TV's with HDMI 2.1 4k 120hz? the review though is great. I wouldnt mind knowing the difference between this and the TU8500.
The 49 inch is 60hz the other sizes are all 4K 120Hz
@@nidiotskap3317 Thanks for the confirmation.
Hi.i got the 85t 55 inch.when watching sky q or tv through aerial get bad micro stuttering.it really bad.mainly on game shows or sport.only way to get rid of it is to put it in game mode.lots of other people have this problem. Samsung just brush you off when ring them up !🤬🤬
Q80t or h9g hisense (u8qf) at same price?
I'm really torn between this of the bx in 55" for ps5, I don't care about hdmi 2.1 I want the best picture and best hdr out of these 2 please help.
Lg bx oled or q80t only for hdr and picture for ps5
This might be a very dumb question, but can anyone help... will I need an aerial to watch freeview on this TV?
The anti glare coating creates a very annoying rainbowing effect and its very noticeable on black screens.
Can someone confirm if the 49 Inch Q80T can run at 120@4K? heard various things!!
I heard it doesn't
Dont think it does. :(
49 inch version only has a 60 Hz panel. 55 inch and bigger with 120 Hz.
You keep calling it an "entry level" tv... what is that in comparison to? As far as I can tell, the only Samsung TV above this one is the Q90T (besides going into 8K TVs).
How is q80t compare to sony x900h?
@@subash526 Its like the x900h, but just better.
@@subash526 got a Sony x950h. Had a week today. Not one complaint
Excelente imagem 👏😁 faz mais vídeos comparando com outras Qleds de outras marcas de tv
I'm about to get this TV. Does anyone know how better the Q80T is than the Q7FN? Samsung is gonna give this model in exchange of my Q7FN that is defective. But I'm a little concerned about that because the peak brightness of the Q80T is lower than the Q7FN, and I'm afraid of being unsatisfied.
I have a Q7F and was told to get the Q90t as the Q80t would look dim compared to the Q7F.
So, the problem is that Samsung only offered me the Q80T. I know it might has less bright than the Q7FN, but the picture is going to be better, overall. At least I think it will.
I have the q85r 65 inch from last year
I read on the internet too many reviews that this TV, when watching soccer games, it will leave stripes on the display, motion flow and dirty screen effects, i don`t see anything regarding this here....
also, this DTV does not have Dolby Sound, which I think this is bad, not to mention lack of DTS audio
I buy one on Blackfriday🥰
which is the best tv according to uhh Q80t or sony x90h ???
Samsung Q80t is bette than sony 900h.
We should see deep comparison between those tvs either in gaming, movies, response time and colores

What TV would you recommend between Q80T, Q80R or the Q90T if the price difference is 500 dollars
Q80r
For movies the q80r and for gaming q80t
I think you are incorrect in that the Q80T DOES have the Ultrawide viewing and glare control.
Is this 49 inch. I though 49 inch does not support 120hz hdmi 2.1. Is that true. Can anyone provide evidence
Thank you
I'm torn between Q80T vs X950h for a darker room, no gaming.
I just wonder how much difference Dolby Vision makes!
@@plmn93 well said and honest. Spoken with experience and not hear say. Thank you
Game mode on this TV handicaps local dimming, giving it a washed out image (see HDTVTest). Please install the brand new firmware update to see if Game mode has been improved. Thanks.
Rakuten tv lol. Does Viber has something else? Not just buggy overloaded messenger?
your demo video makes me hungry
Are there any differences between 50 and 55 inches
The 50 inch does not support 120 hz, only 60 hz (refresh rate)
First to comment. *cough cough * when you revealing the winner *me* of that OLED competition bro?
Bruh, 1:12 I thought someone was sneaking behind me
Can anyone, ANYONE, please tell me why the dialogue is so low, and the sound effects so damn high on mine?? Amplify helps only very slightly, and no other sound options (the like, 3 there are) make any difference.
Depending on what in watching, it's unlistenable. Crank it up to hear dialogue, actions deafens me. Turn it down so I don't kill my eardrums, can't hear a thing they're saying.
And there's no help whatsoever on the internet. Everything I find talks about an option the q80t doesn't have.
any reason to go with q90t instead?
No not really. It’s slightly better than the Q80t but not worth the price.
q95t is the best
Well I need a tv only for gaming with PS5 and I'm really confused between Q80T and X900H..
Q80T obviously has better picture quality and lower input lag.. but people are saying that in game mode the local dimming of Q80T gets worse and this is where X900H stands out.. I don't know how true this is.. would really appreciate if you could clear this out.. thanks(◕ᴗ◕✿)
The recent update for Samsung QLED TV's has sorted out the local dimming bug issue, which makes Game Mode look significantly better now. Also, they implemented the use of HGIG, which apparently makes HDR Games look better (that support it).
@@DuBziiLLa that means games will look awesome in Q80t even in game mode.. actually I don't care about fps but I do care about realistic graphics more.. and hence I need better picture quality..
@@DuBziiLLa some people also suggested to play in movie or natural picture mode in order to get best colours.. but that increases the input lag.. should that be a concern for me?
@@sumitpatel8509 Game Mode is associated with slight downgrades regardless of the TV (with OLEDs having the least issues). I haven't seen it in person yet, as I am also still looking for a TV to get, but I have heard game mode is now looking great on the q80t and q90t.
Input lag should be a concern if you play a lot of multiplayer games, where reaction times matter. In story driven singleplayer games it's less of an advantage, but it's nice to feel that the TV is responsive nonetheless.
@@DuBziiLLa okay so i am not ever planning to play multiplayer games on PS5.. only single player story driven games with ultra graphics preset.. so I think I will be good with Q80T.. thanks for your help(◠‿◕)
X9000h cost the same as q70t in my country so sony is better buy in my case
Rtings states that there is indeed that anti-glare coating on it. So what's up?
Apparently the EU version is different. But q85 is very hard to get. I dont know whats the deal with Samsung.
I thought this had the reflective layer?
I think it does but not as efficient as the Q90T
Is this a good choice for PS5?
It's fine. If fine is what you're after. If you can stretch got for an LG oled
@@djb3v I changed my mind bro and got the LG CX, it’s incredible
Best 4k tvs are Q95T and Q80T
£1500 for the 65 inch same price as the xh95 think I would better have the sony though this has 1 hdmi 2.1
But isn't the entire HDMI 2.1 standard completely broken?
Do you maybe have a chance to test it with a 3080 card? Hdmi 2.1 and 4k120?
Doesn't work on 49"
So the tv has 4 hdmi 2.1 ports but 1 with a high refresh rate??
it has 4 hdmi ports (3 × hdmi 2.0, 1 × hdmi 2.1 (4k@120hz))
