      @Bullet 44 honestly nothing negative that I can think of. The Q80 has amazing colors and the 4K upscaling makes every channel look great. I compared it to the OLED TVs and to me it looked as good for less money. I know it can’t do black as well but I couldn’t tell the difference.

    Greeting from Texas! After buying the Q60T and getting severe buyer’s remorse I did some exhaustive research and decided on the Q80T. I bought this exact same 55” Q80T yesterday and returned the Q60T. I love that this video confirms my “future proof” (great Massive Attack song btw) purchase with no second guessing. This will be the last Smart TV review I will watch until I need a new TV - hopefully many years from now!

    I may have heard you incorrectly, I have the 55 inch Samsung Q80T and it does come with anti-glare and wide veiwing. From what I understand when I was researching information decideing if this was the TV I wanted, any size Q80T below the 55-inch model does not come equipped with those features. Also, I would love to see a video on just the game setting. I still have not been able to find one that goes in depth on how to properly calibrate the settings to get the best effect. I would definitely subscribe 👍

    • @SeifSoudani
      @SeifSoudani 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The US version does come with the anti glare wide viewing angle layer, that's where the confusion comes from, European versions don't have it and therefore have better contrast ration and peak brightness. HD TV test clarified this.

    Q80T vs X900H
    My main purpose is HDR PS5 Gaming.
    The contrast ratio and gray uniformity of X900H is better, Q80T has more local dimming zones.
    I don't care about viewing zones or reflections, I will playing in a dark room.
    Which one is better for HDR gaming/ movie watching?

  • @Jetlife33

    I just bought this tv today but I'm a lil conflicted on picture quality. I'm coming from a Samsung KS8000 and I think the picture quality is better cuz it's able to get brighter. I'm just finished calibrating it and it's kinda hard for me cuz I don't know what some of the settings are since some are new for this year. I mostly purchased the tv for the features but was really hoping I wouldn't have to sacrifice picture quality, but I been thinking of returning it and going for a Q90T since I heard it handles brightness a lot better, but idk. I'm gonna give the Q80T a chance since I have until January to return it so no rush.

    I’m based in the UK and having watched this review along with many others I was sold on this tv, and finally deciding on it, took delivery of it a week ago and have spent almost the entire week since trying to combat the atrocious judder/stutter issues that are apparent on most uk content such as game shows (The Chase, Tipping Point, Tenable etc) news and weather, factual shows like This Morning and The One Show, soap operas, to name a few. This issue isn’t resolved with motion smoothing turned off, left on auto or custom set so was wondering if this was an issue for reviewers/other owners as not one review mentioned this as an issue during testing. My tv is linked to my sky q box so not sure if there’s some kind of mismatch between the two. I just wish I’d known about this issue as I would have definitely looked at alternatives because this problem really is so distracting and upsetting my normal tv viewing.

Buy when I walked into Best Buy and saw the Q70 (which was my first choice based off what I saw online) I was surprised at how dull it looked. I even had the sales associate double check to make sure I was looking at the right TV. The lowest end model I could find that matched the x900h in picture quality, brightness, contrast and blacks was the Q80 and its nearly 1000 dollars more than the x900h. I have been into two different Best Buy stores and a Conn's looking at TVs and everytime, I get the same experience. The Q70 is disappointing to look at, the X950H is incredible, and the X900H is the best bang for your buck, especially if you're a gamer. Even the sales associates tell me the same thing: the Q70 is not worth what Samsung has it priced at, and its quality is not what previous generations have been.
      I have several hours in stores looking at these tvs and comparing them with people who know the tech and the overall consensus is the same. The Q80, dollar for dollar, can't compete with the X900H, and the Q70, is subpar for what it's priced at.

    • @plmn93
      @plmn93 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Basically, the Samsung has less blooming but at the expense of black crush. I have an x950h and the flaws are quite noticeable, and Android TV is junk. You will notice the blooming in a dark room, and the corners of the TV are also dark. I don't have first hand experience with the Q80, so I don't know if it's any better. It seems to also have dark corners but not quite as bad as the Sony. I'm considering returning my TV for the Q80. But no TV is perfect, they all have compromises.
