This is my favorite restoration channel on youtube. No annoying background music, only real mechanical work sounds. Plus every item worked on here is genuine.
    Great videos.

Somewhere, there's a middle-age man who was given that jeep when he was a little kid. If it could be proven to be his, I wonder how he'd feel to see it brought back to life like this. I remember old toys of mine that are gone forever. It would be awesome to see see one rescued and restored!

@His Masters Voice the intial price of a item does not reflect it's potential historical value or the sentimental value to some individual who encounters it in the future. Both values can drive the cost of the item to extreme hieghts. Tonka toys were and are to this day enjoyed by young children of all economic backgrounds.

Nice project. I like how you painted the tires. Neat method I'd say. Here is a little hint the next time you are using pop-rivets that are too long, remove the pin out of the pop rivet and cut the rivet down to the size you really need and than reinstall the pin again. It works perfect for any size...

    Great restoration mate.
Have you ever considered adding a "powder coating" oven and powder paint gun to your workshop ?
There are lots of TH-camrs who have uploaded videos on how they made their own ovens from scratch, or used a matal cabinet and made one in a few days - just search "Making a powder coating oven" and several appear.
The powder paint gun system doesn't seem too expensive either, and the powdered paint can be purchased from Amazon or eBay quite cheaply.
I think some of the items you have already restored would have looked even better done like this - such as the little boat, or the railway lamp and the army helmet.
It would be great to see a video of you building your own system, and because the items you restore are smaller, you would not need a large oven either. What does everyone else think you should do ? Hit thumbs up for yes or thumbs down for no.

Personally I like the way old things look with a nice patina. I usually get them working but leave the patina. This is outstanding though. Keep it up!

I had this Tonka 40 years ago. Great video! I think the wheels and lights should have stayed white though.

You're so good taking stuff apart. Even patiently I don't think I could get stuff apart in such a shape to reassemble as you Tysy.

Man it's crazy how much time and detail went into toys made back in the day. Really cool episode. it would have been cool if you put a piece of clear heavy plastic or something similar for a windshield and glued it in.
