It's about time. Congrats Brad.
His oscar performance reminds me of his first big movie performance in Thelma and Louise. A cool, somewhat coy, laid back dude who was totally underestimated as a character. Congratulations Brad Pitt, well deserved for sure!
He started as a fit boy who got a shot in Hollywood,then established his legacy as a prolific character actor and now that he knows and mastered the mechanics, he joined the inner circle of élite producers... a very smart person indeed
It's kinda weird that THE leading man himself, Mr. Brad Pitt, should get his first Oscar for a supporting role!

The thing I take away most from this ,he remember people who help him along the way, something I can relate to ,I always remember people that help my children along the way , some I never even met

I've really enjoyed the work Pitt has been turning out as a producer, but I'm glad he's finally received an Oscar for acting. That man has been working pretty hard with his craft& it's lovely he's finally gotten the nod from his peers. Regina looked STUNNING handing over that statuette, btw, and Robin looks as poised and elegant as always.

I've watched several of Brad Pitt's interviews since his split with Angie and you can just tell, he's really been going through it so I feel like this Oscar win probably meant a lot to him.

As a person struggling with drinking too much, in order to cope with what life threw at me, I applaud him. I am so happy for him that he is looking after himself now, with good sober friends to support him in his journey forward. My God, I am so touched. Have followed his journey for 3 years now, custody battle with the narcissistic and highly disturbed mother of his children, and I have prayed for him many times. God bless, he's a better man now, and his children have a good father.

I am very happy about this. Although I am sure the performance factored in, I can't help but wonder if this is for his body of work. And the fact that in the past few years [only my opinion] he has been through hell. I felt certain that the Oscar was his, texted friends that it was a sure thing, and the academy agreed with me.
His role was probably the main one. A big wonderful performance. Laura Dern however appeared for like 15 minutes total.
He always seem like a nice, down to earth Southern guy... even still has nice relationship with his Exs’... not sure why Jolie pictured him as a bad guy... and father....

@Tor Finn i dont think he had plastic surgery you are right he does a lot of upkeep and makeup for his movies and award shows. The man like Affleck had a serious drinking problem and is in recovery this role and movie whether he says it in public or not seemed to have saved his life. He clearly had to get in shape and jacked for this role that is why he looks so good. Like some of the paparazzi pics during his divorce drama with Jolie he looks like and ordinary dude in his 50s depressed and mopey. And he had the grey beard his natural hair color from 12 years a slave and the big short going on in real life.
Changing his diet, exercising and taking good care of his skin. He looks like he gets facials and possibly a bit of botox and fillers. Having a youthful mind/heart can bring out "youth" in an older person.
@@jossangeles4011 he doesn't get botox and fillers it is makeup. He did this interview/talk with Adam Sandler for Variety talking about their hit movies this year and lol he looks like an average late 40s to mid 50s man just in shape in that interview because he clearly didn't do the works in the makeup room or maybe put any makeup at all. Adam Sandler who is just three years younger than Pitt looks good in the interview as well like himself and doesn't seem the least bit intimidated by the looks and aura of Brad Pitt. Lol I actually think they are buddies in Hollywood because the facial movements, gestures and stuff did not look like two people who barely know each other talking.
@Tor Finn he is 56 he looks like he is 46 or even younger than that. If he was still married to Jennifer Aniston I think people would think he was younger than her and she is like 50. The scene in the Tarantino flick where he takes his shirt off on the roof may have broke the air conditioner in the movie theater I was in. The moment was mad hot even if your a man who is not gay lol. I didn't even know he could get that ripped he had borderline 6-8 pack ribs not just a lean chest. He probably got in shape like a pro-athlete between the time he got cast for the movie till the production phase. I will add he was never fat or chubby in anything i have seen like even movies where he looks chubby I think he actually gained the weight for said role and then burned it off. This movie he got jacked for the role and the body transformation combined with his acting and resume is what landed him a clean sweep of all the best supporting actor awards in like every major awards show he could get nominated in.
I love how he's more humble now.

I don't know what kind of washed up people those folks who claim that Brad looks so young know in their real lives: But judging by my frame of reference Brad looks his age. You just gotta not be overweight and keep moderately fit, eat healthy, take some care of yourself. Plus Brad has a good stylist like he should. It's his job to look good! People get the fact that he has always been fine as hell mixed up with him looking young. He just looks like a 56 year old guy who is still fine as hell!

I was veruch endeared toward his and Leonardo's acting in this movie, so yeah
First time I saw him was in 'Thelma and Louise'. I had no idea who he was, but I left that theater thinking that guy was going to be a star.

Just thought I’d spread some love and say that - not only is he a great actor, he’s a great guy. I’ve heard a ton of stories about him from people that have met him and literally every one of them was about how nice of a guy he is.
So many celebrities just talk about love and peace-then you find out that they treat people like shit. Brad’s one of the few celebrities that walks the walk (George Clooney, Matt Damon, Johnny Depp, and Tom Hanks are also the same way....nothing but good stories).
