1999 Volkswagen Passat B5 possible window problem

Your passat windows dont work? This might be the reason. The factory connection (that connects all 4 windows to the windows power line) might be corroded. Of course check your fuses before doing anything else

Man you saved me !!! From two days i a had problems with driver's window, there was only a click sound when i tried to use my window and this sound was coming from driver regulator motor. Today i went to a magazine and tried with another motor because i was thinking that tre problem was coming from the motor, but it was the same. I also tried with another console.
And now when i saw your video i went to my car and saw that this cables were very rusty. As soon as i cleaned them i try to connect and see what will happen.
I want to thank you for your video, you saved me a ton of time and money for my problem !!!

Thank you,i cheked too it was wet,and grounding was Rusty.i fixed grounding,but it didnt work.ither some relay or some part of body module is bad.

I have a 1998 passat b5 and my front windows don't work so this might be very helpful. Ill give an update in some time.

Also, it is a good idea to take the comfort blokk out from underneath the matt and from its bigger box and plce it in the driver side dashboard. Why they even but the sensitive comfort blokk in to a wet and moist area underneath the matt is beyond me.

My lights were out too, there were wires at the same place, i connected them and the lights turned on for a split second but then went out, i tried it again but the lights diddnt turn on. I diddnt bother after that, the lights diddnt work when i got the car so nothing lost really.
But god damn was that car a piece of crap. I fix one problem three more pop up. All thats left of it is the back hatch, rest is already melted for spoons or something
