Beautiful Doom Ultra HD [Textures, Upscale, Parallax, Sprites] - Zero Brightness 1.0: MAP01 | 4K/60

I played Zero Brightness back then when it was in beta stage. Now i realized that this wad was finalized, so i was wondering which mod i will use? First choice was new version Brutal Doom Black Edition 3.38, but this mod messes with map lighting. But Beautiful Doom doesn't. Mixed with upscale mods, it is again very modern look.

The map textures and lighting look beautiful. Gives me Doom 64 vibes. Not sure about the AI-upscaled sprites, tho.

Looks pretty good, probably in pair with doom 3 but still preserving the retro aesthetics. Doom graphics will always be bottlenecked by how most maps are empty rooms and corridors. It can work with the right lighting but it can also look off. Maybe in the future we will have mods that add more clutter and environmental detail like Selaco. I would love seeing a voxel pack for brutal doom personally. Maybe we will get to look as good as doom 2016 at some point.

Just tried your mods list and daaaaam....this is the best it can look without killing the essence of the original.
Question: Do you know why after all this years moded Doom still lags? It run 144fps all the time, and every min or so, it lags for a couple of seconds. Very annoying.

That AI upscaling looks horrendous. It's very obvious with the dual wielded pistols.

Yeah for me it's the enemies. The wall textures look amazing. The enemy sprites look like garbage.

man whats the easiest way for someone like me to load this all up... i cannot wrap my head around ZDL or how it works, ive downlaoded whats required but cant seem to find the exe file or how to even open the thing

Did you download GZDoom? You still need an engine. ZDL is a frontend.

@@dileepvr yes. Ive been playong alot on GZDoom. I just want to be abke to run more then 1 or 2 wads at a time in proper order. And i have no idea how ZDL works. And cant find an easy step by step process for it
