It's very good - which bothers me. It bothers me a lot. And it's scary. It's actually a good song. But, this isn't HIM. It isn't Steven Wilson. It's AI.
I can't imagine how artists like Wilson would feel to hear something like this. They've spent DECADES to build their craft, to hone their skills, to develop their talents, to create THEIR SOUND.... And AI can re-create it to such an extent that it may "cheat" them out of a creative future AND marr their history of talent, growth and development?

Although it's very good, the song itself can't compete with the true heart of his music. And that's where most of his music comes from. Just my 2 cents but it does sound freakin' great.
FFS! Real fans would know this isn't an SW original but the casual listener would have no idea. That's pretty scary. But then again, AI is scary. The warnings sounded over the last decade or so were very real indeed.

@@the_e_major Udio will use the info you give away in your video to block those artists, and then we won't be able to do it anymore. Best to keep that info private imo.
@@Basement-View I'm not completely sure but I think they can't do this even if they want to. The problem is that if they find a way to somehow block this hidden feature, the quality of all their songs drops drastically. This feature goes beyond Steven Wilson's music. My experience is telling me that it's possible to generate a huge number of songs from famous artists that are already out there using the platform.
@@the_e_major Couldn't they just block the specific tags you're using? I completely agree that since Udio was trained on artists, blocking those artists from the output ends up lowering the overall quality of the music generated. This is true for all AI like how text models get worse quickly the more moderation and blocks are thrown on them. But I've seen certain tag combinations trigger mod errors so I know Udio is at least trying to moderate and block some stuff, particularly whatever methods and jailbreaks bubble up to the surface via YT, discord, reddit etc. I just hope your tags are different enough from mine because I would be really disappointed to lose the ability to use SW's vocals.
