This is NOT Steven Wilson. The first 2/3rd's of the song were very well done -- could have been WIlson. The last 1/3rd sounded somewhat more like Yes than Steven Wilson, in both musical style and in lyrical content. But AI doesn't have the SOUL of the artist. That's why, no matter how good it sounds, it's only mimicking the TRUE ARTIST. There's no HEART, no SOUL. It's sad. It's a theft from the Artists, this new "generative AI."
Ignore the hate, keep on experimenting. Remember to make it clear in your titles that these songs are AI experiments and in no way connected to Steven Wilson.
In a general context, music sounds good, but these technological metamorphoses are manipulating the creativity and musical intelligence of great musicians and composers. Thus, originality is being lost.
I agree, it's terrifying to think of a world full of AI-generated music with originality lost. However, this technology is something inevitable as technology progresses exponentially. Learning from it can lead to other revelations in fields that can greatly benefit the world, including music. That's my take on it
Unglaublich nervig wie viel non Album Tracks von Mister Wilson im Netz kursieren. Wozu kauft man Alben???
It's nicely done, even if it lacks a bit of soul, but I'm very uncomfortable with this type of AI realization. There's nothing to stop anyone copying the track (wav, mp3...), reposting it and advertising it as an original by the artist, but what average user is going to know the difference? And I'd love to know Jon Anderson's reaction to the second part of the track... @Shade_of_Azure I don't think there's any hatred, it's just a feeling of confusion and dispossession of the REAL artist, which is very disturbing. If, with the help of more sophisticated algorithms, with a little more "feeling" (and it will come), we can "compose" songs totally in the artist's style, aren't we moving, a little, towards the erasure, at least, the escamotage, of the latter? I think that's better to stop this. Just my, sad, opinion.... As for the lyrics, I can't say, as I'm not Anglo-American myself, and don't speak the language clearly.
Lindo.
For A Soul there is neither birth nor death never having once been does it ever cease to be The Soul is not slain when the body is slain.

The energy to power AI will not help to reduce carbonoxide… It is another middlefinger to Mother Earth.
Please not more!!😮😮
Agreed, this is sad
