What would a theme park created in Planet Coaster for PC without using Thememaker's Toolkit (TMTK) look like? Let's find out. This is a Planet Coaster Park with no TMTK!
This is the series where Planet Coaster PC and Console combine!
This is Episode 1 of our Planet Coaster Build - Entrance, Turnstiles and our first rollercoaster of what will be a bit of a mini park.
Using realism I’ve learnt from my experience of working for a real-life theme park company and over 4000 hours of Planet Coaster play time. Using true-to-life principles, we walk through each stage of the build reasons why things are built in a certain way- as well as some top tips on how these were achieved too by pulling them apart for you to see. As the project progresses, I’ll release the park for you to enjoy, so please make sure you Subscribe to stay in touch! I'm the two dollars twenty of Planet Coaster apparently...
This might even qualify as a Planet Coaster Mini Park... Or Micro Park or most realistic park. It's a small realistic park, anyway.
We have Merch now!

ooh, fun!
Idea add a Gerstluar infinity coaster like untamed at canobie lake park in New Hampshire!
Discard this I just got to the part where he showed next coaster lmao
This is a great example of a small park and it has given me a lot of inspiration and the name for the coaster could be
:Treetop Trek:
I'm loving how this is looking, really feels like "If chacho did a moomin sized park" And i'm here for it!
The question will be, though... who wore it better?
I like the starter area. This might make a fun Community challenges or Contests for your channel. You build the entrance and open it to the community.
Chacho. Tis about flippity floppin time. (i started writing this before I heard the name Jippity Janis Joplin)
Never have I ever been so excited to pimpleplop the fritznattle frack. It’s oiinn baaby ❤
here is a tip but sorry for saying it too late, this is for people that don't have access to TMTK you can build a desk or office table by using the traffic sign and then changing the colors.
A series where we can ACTUALLY have guests bringing life to the park? Hooray!!!
Yep. I've limited the park to 1000 for now...
It's a very refreshing thing to see. Don't get me wrong, LOVE your parks, but there really is something magical about seeing your work being USED and simulated like a real park.@@Nerdchacho
Great start! Looking forward to seeing where you take this one.
The path art looks great! Can't wait to see this park come together!
Love the piece analysis that we're getting with this series, the creative ways pieces can be used are what make this game fun to me and I love how this park is turning out already!! (ps: "qin" is pronounced "chin" not "quinn") ;)
The series needs to offer something different given that it is a different type of series haha.. Plus I know that a lot of people are likely to ask "what was used there" - so might as well get that started :D
Very excited for this one 👍🏼.. great start
Nice work on the entrance and 1st ride. keep up the good work mucker!
for the ground painting I would just dim the colors a little bit if you can. I feel like they are just too bright. The orange is fine but making the red pink might be better
Just binge watched your last park last few days loving the channel look forward to this new park 👍
Ahh, welcome aboard!! Thanks for coming along for the ride!
Just wow. Amazing work again
Great start for the new series Chacho.
Holy smokes. Boy, have i been waiting for THIS! 👌
It's a good one too... I LOVED pulling this together..
Looks awesome!
Mannnnnn, you don't need TMTK, this looks incredible without my guy. Keep up the wonderful work!
I'm starting to think that TMTK might be a bit of a security blanket and that you can have way more fun without it..
Been waiting so long for this series. Looking for inspiration for my next little project, as my last one got way out of hand! 🤣
Yay!! You get to rob from me! It's about time I returned the favour...
I like the design on the path, reminds me of the one at Lost Island.
It's pretty much stolen from there :D
Oooh Chacho can we please have the blank car park map as a workshop item? Would be great to do a build-along for this series!
Oh, yes. Of course. I'll pop it up in the week as I'm not at home until then :)
@@NerdchachoNow I really want to make a park with this
this is going to be great!
Looks amazing so far
Looking great Chacho! But on console you’d already be out of space on the % counter lol
I genuinely did wonder that when I was putting this together. It's not actually that heavy on the old piece count.. It just looks like it is..
blown away this is fantastic, that paintiing on the path outside the front could be removed and replaced with a themed fountain or flower bed though
HERE WE GO BOYS!!!!
I've been here since 600 subs and I've waited so long for this moment
You and me both.... but we got there...
100k next, then? :D
FINALLY!!
This is where I will hopefully a lot of inspiration since I don't like relying on "modded" content, not gonna lie. I like keeping it as vanilla as possible.
Cheers!!
TMTK certainly seems to stifle some creativity. I'm on Ep 3 at the mo and the park is looking just as good, if not better, than a TMTK park. The difference being that the "intricacies" just aren't there.. so hyper realism is out of the question - but a fun park is defo achieved..
I think Rolli Coasti or Rolly Coasty sounds cute, It has a cute layout and a cute name. Your entrance and station looks ace
Wow Chacho, I didn't expect the new series to start this quickly! Good luck with No TMTK, I don't know console players do it...
Or how we did it before TMTK either.. I mean, Planet Zoo has evolved a lot over the last 3 years and now contains a lot of usable items that we would have otherwise made TMTK - so Frontier know what to design and how to design it.. just a shame that PlanCo never had that.. PlanCo was always a bit more, I dunno, bigger? Like, you can't be intricate with PlanCo out-of-the-box like you can Zoo
@@Nerdchacho Yeah, everything about Planet Coaster is way too big. The pieces, flat rides and coaster stations
I'm filled with the excitement that comes with a new Chacho park!
❤❤❤
It has been a long time coming....
@@Nerdchacho hehehehe
You mentioned not being able to rotate grid pieces but actually you can. There were a few videos last year that involves using an art shape to rotate a grid piece to any angle. It’s not TMTK so I think is fair game! I love that Planet Coaster is still going strong after all these years. I’m still playing it recreating my favorite park! And yes I use tons of TMTK!
Do you have any of those videos to hand at all, please? I'd be interested to see how to break the game....?
Here are two videos on how to rotate gridded pieces to any angle. ENJOY!

@@Combination12345 Amazing, thank you! I'm going to check these out in a sec :)
I reckon you should call it Cobra Pass ? Or something along those lines maybe 🤔
I think that you should make a heavily themed park taking inspiration from parks such as phantasialand or portaventura
Yes!
I really want to see that!
Portaventura and heavily themed together??
hell do that for 100k
Ahh, you can tell MtTopHat has been here a while. Yes, 100k subs is your threshold for that park...
Sooo it’s a 10k subscriber series at 11k subscribers your growing like crazy good job with what your doing
It's also 7 months overdue too haha
Enjoying the toilet having a "flush" ceiling.
Wheeey, I make jokes without even knowing it..
As someone who tries to not use too much TMTK, I’m SO excited for this!
Personally not loving the design in the entrance plaza. If it’s kept, maybe make it not as bright? But I feel like a large planter or something may be better - maybe even a fountain or water feature?
TMTK defo becomes a security blanket.. and might actually stifle my creativity.. This park (and I'm filming Ep 3 at the mo) is actually WAY more fun. It is taking me back to Grosvenor Gardens sort of vibe..
Chacho finds a loophole on land for no tmtk!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I once made a fire extinguisher in game by using a large red cylinder, small black cylinder, and a sci-fi cord.
Scale becomes your problem then... yes, you CAN do it that way, but then it all looks wrong and out of scale. The sinks in the toilets being a prime example. If the toilets weren't back to back then sinks wouldn't work
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Already looking great, but thats not a surprise! Also, is the music you use a custom track? I always jam to it
The music for the timelapses and logo is a remix of a track I'd written under my old music writing days. It's out there in the wild if you want it.. Ted O'Shay - Frenzy (Alfonso Muchacho Remix).
I should load it here..
The music right at the start though (before the logo) is the alternative music for the screaminator in game.
@@Nerdchacho thank you! I'm going to go check it out! Keep up the awesome work
Great job chacho , looks great . Now since the park is very landlock , after next episodes coaster maybe we could see a wild mouse ( Maurer or Mack ) , maybe a junior gravity group , a giant inverted boomerang and maybe a compact Maurer launches x car coaster . Unless u have a planned out idea of the park … whatever might come I bet it’ll be great
All of the coasters are in the park already. There are 5 in total and a wild mouse is NOT one of them...
But.. you're not completely in the dark. That's all I'll say for now.
@@NerdchachoI probably am getting ahead of myslef so last question . I’m just not sure if the park would have room for any water rides , they could go with a portable log flume but I wouldnt see you doing it , the only way I could see a water ride is if it interacts A LOT with a coaster which I wouldn’t find probable … but who knows .
@@denizbaranakdeniz3671 log flume on the corner.. there's more room there than it seems. Got you covered :)
No tmtk! Might actually be able to run this park on my computer
Junior coaster name suggestion: Firewatch, the towers on top of the station reminded me a little of firewatch towers and all the wooden and forrest theming makes me think its a cool and suting name.
This park needs a eurofighter. Compact, perfect for this park (also easy to build with no tmtk and many theming options). Possibly something like velocicoaster or a b+m dive over the water?
HOW DID I PREDICT THE EUROFIGHTER THEN. PROUD OF MYSELF FOR THAT
That was a bloody good guess, you know.. And your other "key" coaster isn't a million miles off, either...
@@Nerdchacho hands down I’m js amazing 😂
i like how you effortlessly just put a building together. i studied architecture and im always taking so long making buildings. you have a new pc right? what are the specs? (already found them lol) love the video's man :)
haha, I'm glad that it looks effortless... behind the scenes I have no hair left - and that's not just age related :D It's proper hard, so I admire any-one who has even the remotest flare for architectural design..
I do indeed. I'm now running a 14900K, 4090 and 64Gb DDR5 ram @ 6000... It's a beast, it seems.. And this park when empty was getting a casual 190fps, winning!
@@Nerdchacho i just got a new pc and can finally build my park futher i got a 7800x3d 32gb ddr5 and a 7900 xtx i just found new love for this game haha
the aztec blocks make good flooring too
Indeed they do! And they add a texture too.. I tend to use them as roofing for that reason
OK, hear me out, but remove the path deco, and add in a green snake because 1: i think it would match the theme better and 2: i think that the green would match the area more
I don't hate the idea. I'll have a play some time...
Instead of that ghastly thing on the entrance plaza, what about a rose compass?
Name Suggestion: Aztec Adventure
@NerdChaCho - Is it possible you could save the base park from the beginning of the episode without your entrance or coaster and upload it to the workshop as a starter park? I've looked on the workshop, the starter scenarios good enough to use are very few and far between. And that's the problem I'm having getting back into Planco, I don't want blank canvas, that's too much much to design the landscape and background areas for the park. This one is perfect, LOL.
Yes, of course. I'm not at home until later this week, so will post it when I can :)
@@Nerdchacho Sweet!!!!! Thanks!!!!!
Great video! I think “Qin” building styles in pronounced “chin”
I think you might be right and I committed a racism somewhere :S
If you reach the tour, will all the rides be named?
26:58 Name this Junior Coaster and this adventure statue: Zuma
They will be by the end, yes. So, I'll certainly note your name down :)
I’d replace the art in the entrance plaza with planters with small trees 🤷🏻
That was my second option.. I went with my first but almost instantly hated it.. but kept it because often you guys are all like "nah, it looked good", so didn't want to commit it to the bin haha
1 mil subs chacho buys a console and does a console park. But on a serious note I play on console and still am learning stuff I can do from this video. Especially with the planters using windows.
Now thinking about it what window did you use for the planters… so I can… ah…. Barrow it
Nah, 1m subs and I do Disney..
There are 2 you can use.. They are 2 sizes. This one, I think, is the fairy-tale one.. if you turn the windows back-facing-forwards you will find them because they are the only 2 that have smooth textures on the back :)
You know theres a few in game pavement pieces thats off grid, right? Instead of having to use the concrete grid piece. I want to say the studios pack. I think they're meant for sidewalks but theres one thats plain
Yes, but those off-gridded ones are still 4m and the textures are not the same, so you'd notice them on the checker board pattern. They will be useful later when I'm doing an un-patterned pathway / area..
any chance u can upload this starter to the workshop, this senario seem fun to build on
Yep...
steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3154260418
oh wow thanks, should of took a proper look before asking, keep up the good work man@@Nerdchacho
where can i find the scenario?
You should go back with the hour episode
Blimey, my eps, other than tours, haven't been an hour for 2 years... Which literally no-one watched :D
1:40 How did you do the ”Staff only” sign?
I had a right panic then.. I had to delete the TMTK only staff sign and thought I'd missed one...
This one is easy. It's 2 of the western signs, coloured red, placed on top of each other :)
@@Nerdchacho Thanks😉, sorry for the panicinv😂
Great work! Cl you prolly should of made it in ps5
How?
@@Nerdchacho planet coaster console seen as it’s no tmtk may aswell make it accessible for console
@@Nerdchacho if yu ain’t got a ps5 then it’s understandable but this is good anyways ‼️
@@L3ouis bingo.. I don't own a ps5.. nor console edition or the kit to record it on.. and a 4 grand PC that is now good enough to do this with haha
Will I be able to play this on PS4 because of the Oswald Eugene counter
Well, the park isn't on console, it is on PC.. so you won't be able to play what I have. But you can rebuild it on console, yes..
I’m still hoping for a nerdchacho disney type park with made up IPs i feel like his level of detail will make it one of the greatest parks ever… don’t know if his pc will survive tho
You're going to be hoping for a long time then... 1 million subs is a long way off. Maybe one day though :)
Hello again chacho! Question time! I know you’re kinda big now, and probs won’t see my comment (I’ve been around since raygate lake days) but I’m just trying to get back into planet coaster, and have an issue. I always get stuck on making an entrance and car park (I’m also into realism) and never get any further! Do you have any tips on how to get past this awful bout of creators block I get every time I try to make a park (p.s, sorry for the lateness of my comment, I’m at Disney in Florida so my timings are out of whack a little, I still hope I get a response tho!)
Oh and also should I use a starter park or base plate (I’m lost on this one too, as either way I struggle, one with ideas, the other with working with the terrain given) however I always have amazing ideas for rides and whole sections of the park that I know I can pull off
Ahh, well, I applaud (and thank you for) the loyalty.. I mean, I'll accept staying for the first few videos, but the rest are on you! :D
So, the choice of blank and starter park is completely yours to make. You should decide what you want your park to be before you even touch it. That will tell you whether you need to start blank or starter. But, if you still can answer it, do what you're inspired to do.
And that last bit is your answer for the rest: Do what you're inspired to do; not what you think you should do. The sum of all the theme park things you have seen is NOT the sum of all the possibilities there are out there. The world is full of anomalies that shouldn't exist if you "play by the rules" that don't exist but people still want to somehow enforce: Thorpe should never have had Colossus. Sik should never have existed while Colossus is just up the road. Mandy Mayhem shouldn't exist with Swarm not 12 miles away. Funspot America should not have a world class RMC given the type of park it is and in fact, RMC / Vekoma modern track profiling would have been scoffed at back in the 2000s as "not realistic". And don't even get me started on Falcon's Fury at Six flags.. That thing is straight outta RCT3 or a "bad" planet coaster player's save game. Let your imagination do the walking, not your observations. Yes, there are realistic rules you can follow about all sorts of stuff, but ultimately they aren't rules, they are guides. Just have fun with your park, the rest follows. And if all else fails, build for the bin. Finish something you hate just so you can delete it - otherwise it pollutes what you're going on to build.
@@Nerdchacho Thankyou so much for the help, honestly means the world to me. I will bear all of this in mind. I’m annoyed that Planco isn’t any more popular bcs you deserve all the subs in the world :)
Yes let’s goooo no tmtk :)
Could you do A no dlc park
Sadly not, no. I'm not stealing Moomin's idea. Although, I've been a guest in all of the no DLC parks Moomin has done to date.
We have a projector?
Apparently so!! I don't think it projects.. it is just a prop...
Console build limit reached 🤣
It's surprisingly kind on the piece count at the moment... It's few pieces used effectively it seems..
What's the name of the park chacho?
Jippety Point :)
I was confused when i started watching. Great logo btw
Rollercoaster name suggestion: jungle run
@@Nerdchacho thank you
Kookaburra for the coaster! Excited for this series!
I dub thee family coaster: Relic Runner.
Chacho you are a genius in this game but pleeease pronounce “qin” correctly. It’s not (quin), it’s pronounced as (chin). It’s weird, I know
Yeah, this was pointed out to me in another comment. You have a couple of episodes of me doing that left... :D
Console user here, and I’m going to be ripping off a lot of ideas from this build. Just sayin:
You rip away!! That is the whole point of this particular series.. 🙈
